Comical is correct that two Doctors are impossible.
But leaving both alive keeps Naerys alive. Also mafia can't attack other Doctor without being outed. So they shred POE for us or give us information.

The part that sticks with me is that this strategy would be completely suicidal for Scum!Comical.

Too much scotch.

With one scum down it's hard to think that scum would suicide bomb themselves like this. That's what I can't get over.

If he's scum then he went for too much of a gambit and ended up in a corner, and is just overconfident and thinks he can talk his way out of it.

If he's town then he's fakeclaiming because he does scumread Lap and is also going for too much of a gambit, and is overconfident and thinks he can talk his way out of it.

Either way, if Lap flips town, tomorrow he will say "Oops, sorry, I fakeclaimed to push out a scumread, but I'm still town and here's who we should push next:". And the worst part is that people will listen. There's not any way to tell whether he's doing that as town or as scum.

That's why we have to lim him today. If he's at E-1 and is town and still decides not to retract his claim, then that's on him. If he gets flipped and he's actually somehow a Doctor, then Lap is caught scum and we got a 1 for 1 while covering ourselves from every other possible scenario. More likely I think is that he just flips scum.

The last time Hu Tao tried to shut down my mass claim, Hu Tao was scum, and we lost out on Info, and the PR that could have given us information during that mass claim died, and we didn't get the info.

Frankly, I feel it's likely we have 1 more town PR, and if we do I will protect them tonight.

It's most likely another investigative of some sort, and by saying this, if I were scum here, if they ended up dying, that would be a scum claim. If it's something like a Role Cop or Vanilla Cop, that can legitimately confirm that I am Doctor here, while getting their Night 1 action and basically locking them in for getting here tomorrow.

So on a base level, that is a 20% chance that info will be lost forever if the kill is in there, assuming I protect Naerys.

This is before any PR softs, crumbing, and general vibe checking from the scum team, which naturally raises it up some. How much? Who knows.

But not mass claiming, we already have an above 20% chance to lose out on information that a lone PR in there would have at base line.

If scum happen to have another PR and role copped/vanilla copped somewhere, that brings the chances even higher. I don't think we do, but ya.

So question is, are we okay with the above 20% chance of losing out on information here?
