im frustrated by how you (at least nominally) approach this game. getting into the details would just be a pointless rant

I am. It is day 2 and I am developing my read of the game.
I'm slower than many people, but I am striving to find scum. I have just reached the stage where I am trying to narrow it down, and I am happier ruling people out as scum than ruling anyone in yet

A good choice has strong logic behind it. Day 1 there is never strong logic behind an elimination, it is 10 guts and 3 scum pushing who they want.
This is actually pretty insightful, though I don't agree that it isn't possible to have a logical push d1. Most logic based d1 scum lims are the result of a mistake by scum.

hmm ill have to admit that i don't know how to read people who make posts like these
I kinda like it from the point of view that I agree that excessive posts make the game hard to read. And making the game hard to read is kinda scum's job and the antithesis of town.
im sorry, it is just the way i go through the game. i go back tomy last post and just read through and reply as i come to something interesting. how it ends up sometimes i think i have hammered someone and don't realise there is a later unvote.

it honestly isnt meant to confuse.
TBH I didn't pay any attention to what came before NAS's post. I just saw Psyche's post and responded to it.

This is basically the reason for how I responded the way I did. Saying we had no chance of making the right choice just seems weird. Throw all the statistics and odds out that you want but this just feels like too little too late justification for doing next to nothing day 1 when many of us were having constant conversations about what was best to do. It’s easy to say after the fact that it was pointless once you know the result.

Oh. Well that’s unfortunate for my read then. I guess I should be doing research into how people play previous games if I want a full idea of why things are happening. But that just feels so tedious…

Lots of things happened since that D1 self vote of HT, I feel like I'm limiting my overall vision of the game by focusing too much on HT. I'll vote again based on all the newer available info. HT still is in my top 3 scumrank, but I think I can update my scum list, particularly KJQ's rank.

think im inclined to agree, though i'd say "cohesive" rather than "insightful"
it's the only "valid" response gera could have made after his other posts that wouldn't have locked in a scumread for him in my book
otoh it's maybe a bit

im rushing and probably not articulating correctly but the idea that scum literally never provide good reasons to vote for them on D1 just feels like a fake belief you'd give to a character in a story to make his actions believable and drive the story's action, especially on someone with a 2006 join date...

you would be much more pleasant to play with if you actually engaged people instead of just repeating what you wanted over and over with little to no substantiation
