Given it is up to the questioner to figure out motivation, as you put it, do you not think that question was aimed at figuring out your motivation for your suspicion on Artem?RC wrote:Do me a favor, and stop asking me my tells. When its necessary that I share something, I will.
1. Not when the person in question admits to the accusation. Thanks for playing. I see what you mean. Not sure if I agree. Don't you think it is a bit early to accuse someone of trying to speedlynch when the wagon has exactly 2 votes? Do you have anything else on Red?
magnus is town, and seems quite happy about it. I'd reveal his master plan (I've seen it multiple times, and he's explained it to me in detail) but it may not be finished yet, so I'll leave that to him. Also, what do you think about Magnus Orion? He is voting with Red.
He made an assertion, and I called him on it. If he had backed down from the stupid idea then I would likely have looked for somewhere else to put my vote, but he didn't. In fact, he sheeped to magnus and called me scum for it (aka quasi-OGUS).Kairyuu 13
Red Dye's post 11 didn't look serious, so I wouldn't have been on board to go after him for it.
1. My votes are rarely, if ever, for pressure. If I'm calling my vote serious then I want it to end in a lynch. There's no such thing as halfway for me.Kairyuu 19
When you say that your vote is serious, does that mean that you want to pressure/lynch Red Dye?
Edit: do you currently consider him a good lynch?
Not quite sure what you're asking here. Rephrase?Kairyuu 38
I agree with sentence #1. It's not clear whether it applies to Artem's post, but it does refute Magnus's point. However, my reading of your post 19 makes me feel like you could have had a similar opinion about Red Dye's attack on Artem (at that time, at least.) Is that correct?
More like he saw Artem as a threat to the continuation of the RVS, and thought to "drown him out," so to speak, in order to keep it going. My point on the subject was rather weak in the first place.I don't think Red Dye's vote was likely to "extend the RVS." Maybe over the long term in the site meta, attacking the first person who looks serious could make RVS's longer, but not within a given game.
The lack of reasons is meh. I don't really see voting without reasons as overly much of a tell. I used to call it out all the time, but I never found a good enough correlation to call it much of a tell.@Kairyuu: Mind clarifying that last point? Why did you focus on the speedlynching aspect of Red's vote on me rather than the lack of reasons?
Simple. Scum like the RVS. The chaos and confusion allows them to make early anti-town plays and not be called on it. Generally speaking, it is a town motivation to get out of that chaos and into serious scumhunting. The town provides the driving force behind moving the game along. Several experiments have been done (only one that I can remember right now, run by JDodge a few months ago) in running an all-scum game, and most, if not all, have fallen on their faces and been abandoned. If there's no drive to scumhunt, then there's no drive to advance the game. Town provides both of these.Kairyuu stated that 'the first approach to ending the RVS is more likely to be made by town than scum, though it could be made by either' ... uh, how so? I understand that getting away from the RVS is good for the progression of the game, but I don't follow that town would more likely end the RVS, unless you are specifically referring to the fact that there are more town than scum, and that is silly logic too.
Looks reasonably good at the moment, but history has taught me that he's good at convincing me he's town when he isn't. Gonna go with neutral read.Hey Kairyuu, general thoughts on Artem whenever you get back.
Cop out.My play on Day 1 always stinks. I'm all but useless on Day 1...I know this and anyone that has played with me knows this. That is why I replace in after Day 1 in most games. I'm working on it bt, apparently I have a slow learning curve for Day 1...hehheeh! My vote for Hero was a joke and I'm not going to deny that. That being said, I'm not going to jump up and down and fight my lynch...the Town will gain information from it and my role is not all that important.
Sorry, I'm not a very clear writer...Kairyuu wrote:Not quite sure what you're asking here. Rephrase?Kairyuu 38

I didn't think what you said necessarily applied to Artem's post, because I didn't interpret post 7 as an attempt to end the RVS.1. The first approach to ending the RVS is more likely to be made my town than scum, though it could be made by either.
Highly likely. I agree his contributions have been disappointing at best.Claus wrote:Also, what is your opinion on Le Chat? Newbie scum?
Are you asking what I think? So, what do other people think of Le Chat? Magnus?
ah, grudge lynch, that'll win the gameVP Baltar wrote:I'm not voting Rosso, magnus, but I pretty much agree with you. I think him being an asshole is probably not indicative of his alignment, which I hate because I'm sure I'd quite enjoy grudge lynching him.
Right now, MM is far more scummy until she actually says something (ANYTHING) of substance in this thread and stops trying to drag out the RVS.
Still waiting for Nuwen to explain her contradictory stances toward Rosso and MM.
Have to do a reading on that one sir. Will need to return later on.Claus wrote:Hey folks, sorry for the huge delay - I'll be around more frequently from now on.
I got townie reads from Magnus and Kairyuu. This adds them to Albert and Nuwen in my list of protown people. Magnus is still annoying as hell, though - 40 page D1? Please! Do you want this game to never have any replacement volunteers ever? Quality >> Quantity.
Rosso x MM is interesting.
MM could get some lynching. I'm a bit disappointed, because Albert was all "Wow, MM is a nice player" and stuff pre-game. She seriously need to re-read and contribute when she returns. "Not being good at D1" is not an excuse.
Rosso is not that bad of a lynch either. He gave 2 opinions so far - "Red Die is scum", and "IGME on Artem", which is better than MM but not enough for the amount of defending he is getting from VP, Red and Cat. Also I'm all for lynching those who can't play in a civil manner.
Question for MM: I want you to give interesting opinions on at least 3 players.
Question for Rosso: In 199 you say that "People who say 'I don't know who are scum' are scum" - do you think that Le Chat falls in that profile in this game? How scummy is Le Chat?
I would vote for either of them for being useless - but I want to wait for them to answer my question first. In the meanwhile, I'm voting for someone else who is useless as the above two but is not getting as much attention as he deserves (and getting a lot of "I suspect him" mentions which are not being followed):
unvote. Vote Red_Dye
FoS: Le Chat
Also, I want to draw more attention to Le Chat. He is displaying a "uncertain" and "trying to please" attitude that I see all too often in newbie scum. He is not really scumhunting of his own accord, but rather trying to fall in line with other people's opinions and not trying to offend anyone too strongly. I would easily switch my vote from Red_Dye to Le Chat if I get some support.
So, what do other people think of Le Chat? Magnus?
