That also gives us a 9/12 or 8/12 chance of hitting a pro-town player, and about a 4/12 or 5/12 chance of hitting a pro-town power role.

I understand where you guys are coming from though, and I wouldn't mind seeing Romanus claim sometime in the coming day (assuming I stay in, that is)

This is what I believe:

No lynch is better than lynching a townie

Lynching a scum is better than no lynch

No lynch is better than Random lynch.

A bad lynch today (lynching a townie) is better than a bad lynch later.

Votes are the way to get conversation rolling, and is obvious that my statements at the beginning, that were made in order to get the ball rolling and try and come up with a town strategy did more than I ever hoped.

I also believe that flexibility is necessary. After reconsidering my position on no lynch, which was not very firmly established to begin with, just an option that I saw good points to, I think running some one up will be fruitful. It seems that the majority of the town is against the no lynch as well. I will not be the person to deny the town what it wants especially when my original opinion was not well founded by my own admission, if you will consult my first post. I am fishing, trying to see what experienced players think. Second, the reason I defended my position was because of the mistaken impression that we would get a random lynch if we vote to no lynch. I was the one who championed the correct interpretation of the rules, not tried to obfiscate them like some others even after the MOD had clarified, very clearly what the rule was.

Having stated all that, I will now practice what I preach and

unvote; VOTE: spectrumvoid

Post 24 the mod clarifies the rule, yet in

Post 26 spectrumvoid says
After reading
all the posts
(I was sick today so I missed most of it I think), I believe Romanus is the most scummy. Two possibilities:

1) His intentionally misleading others. He's probably hoping to get a random lynch... then pray like mad he isn't the one.

2) He's an idiot. If he's a stupid townie, he should die too!
I am the one who has led the town to getting the rules straight, not misleading others, like spectrum's next post
#28
Oh I forgot to add that I didn't know voting no lynch means a lynch still occurs. I think this is the 1st game that I've played where voting no lynch was allowed. (I'm still a newbie on this forum.)
compare those two posts (which were written mere minutes apart) with each other and the reality of the situation, that was already explained and ask yourself who is trying to mislead people. You might also ask who is stupid.

Thanks Joker. I guess that Wiki is a good resource.

Now that I have been severely corrected on my no lynch strategy. I would like to point out that I did back off of it before this post by Joker.

I also know that by saying what I just said pretty much negates any possible favorable opinion that might have come. Oh well, forgive me for defending myself from a very early exit.

The no lynch becomes a more viable option when we're short on time and can't pressure people our first day, however. Not knowing the time limit doesn't help things, I suppose.

Could one of the remaining 2 please vote for my fate tonight, I think it would be silly for me to get replaced based on the fact that 2 people didn't vote -_-

Patrick, I considerate no lynch an idea better than lynch an inocent. And it seem that you prfer to lynch an inocent that no lynch.

I never like do random lynch, people as you defends to lynch somebody without having any reason against him, why not lynch you?
You say vote me because is more possible I would be scum, and you're wrong about me. So, I believe you are bad
I'm sure that if you were citizen, you think different...
Stop misrepresenting me. I never said I want to
random lynch
anyone. I just want discussion, followed by a lynch of someone who has a better than average chance of being scum. You seem to be taking my vote on you too seriously and you are just OMGUS voting me.

OK. First let me get somethings in order.

Unvote: Romanus

Because you seem to be understanding things a little better now, of course, you could just be a clever mafia, but that is always a possibility. (And I seem to say that about everyone I unvote.)

Also,
Vote: Keep
for BA, because he seems to be here, and he is contributing to the game.

Now, Mikanoff. You don't get it. We can't just sit back and hope everything will sort itself out. We have to act. The mafia are
coming to get us.
A townie will die
this night.
Why do you keep defending your worthless "no lynch"? You could just be stupid, but I'm not going to take that chance. (Of course, in the absence of mafia to lynch, it is good to weed out the "stupid townies" (I think that is covered in the wiki somewhere, but I'm not sure.) I mean, look at our mod's signature. He has it right.)

In conclusion, I am afraid I am going to have to
vote: Mikanoff.

@Rathyr: I find your defence of me interesting. While you're correct, I'm just wondering if there is some buddying up going on here.
Ha. I thought you (and other players) might think this when I defended you. But no, I am not buddying up to you. What would be the point? I just don't want one of the commonsense-endowed players to be lynched on day one by a crazy mob, even though you may not last the night.

Patrick and Rathyr sitting in a tree......

Joking :)

I don't think Romanus is the way to go though, and Mikanoff's defense is a bit weak.

"When the game ends, we will see who is stupid...." is a pretty scummy statement IMHO!

Er, no, you see, that wouldn't work because I know I am not scum.

The point is to lynch someone and hope that they are scum, not to lynch a townie. Any townie that gets lynched had better be lynched by accident.

Also, mind explaining
why
you think Patrick is scum? Because his first vote was you? That is not a valid reason. First votes are just to get the game going and rarely have solid (If any) evidence to support them.

First, Patrick said that I didn't pay attention to game.
Later, he said that he was wrong, and he voted me because I voted no lynch right off... but other people voted no lynch before me!!!!!

do you think I deserve to be lynched so? I think not...
