Mini 1446: Generic Mafia

The small village in the middle of the wilderness had just 15 inhabitants. Not being large enough for anyone to care about, it was largely left alone from the outside world. So when one fateful morning you found one of your number dead, you knew it had to be an inside job. It's remoteness meant that by the time law enforcement arrived it would be too late you knew what to do. You had to get rid of these murderers people the old fashioned way.

A noose was set up from the gnarled oak tree in the center of the village and the list of the inhabitants was taken from the Mayor's office and pinned to the tree.

General Game Rules

It was about an hour before noon when most of the villagers had gathered around the old oak tree. You knew the rest would be on their way soon, must be busy in the wilderness or something. There was an air of distrust over the crowd, they all knew it could have been any one of them. The old mayor got up and spoke the crowd.

"As you know this morning one of our number was killed this morning. This horrible act was orchestrated not from outside but within our own walls. By which ones of you standing here I do not know, but this I am sure of. Who ever it was, they are not friends of ours."

An number of them moved uncomfortably where they stood, giving everyone around them suspicious looks.

"I've sent a message to the law enforcement in the city but they're unlikely to get here before it's too late. We're going to have to do it ourselves. Find me when you think you've got one"

He glanced at the noose before retreating to his office without another word. And with that, this unremarkable little villages desperate fight to get rid of the evil with it began.
