Scumhunting (which involves reading in detail) is a town tell.
In post 150, Cogito Ergo Sum wrote:"You were answering, ergo you were answering on Zhero's behalf." I don't have a clue how you're coming up with this stuff; how is Zhero even a part of that conversation?

HD, it makes more sense to sheep me. Rofl's stuff is a pretty good example of reasoning that fails the "Is X the kind of player that would actually do this as scum?"-test.

I'm being a bit lazy, yes. That's a town tell for me. I'm also being somewhat hypocritical (although I rarely post as much content as I produce as you know) but that's not a scum tell.
In post 281, Hoopla wrote:you haven't given much reasoning on tso, so you're going to need to drop some knowledge to convince me to switch.php?p=4930960#p4930960]post 266[/url], Cogito Ergo Sum
The #1 tell you use for newbies is whether they're scumhunting. TSO is decidedly not. He's still on his post 1 vote, not pushing scum, trying to be objective, his use of language suggests a detached perspective. Dude's scum.
In post 297, Cogito Ergo Sum wrote:Explaining things is very unnatural for me.

You're right, I am a newbie. So me being "detached" is acceptable. You joined in 2005. You have Town awards. So why in your ISO is there not one post which is actually scum hunting? After seeing it's between us for the noose your last 3 posts have been tunnelling my vote, when you haven't even made a post about my play, you simply sheeped Bacde and naked voted me. You make one good point at least: my vote has been on Fegelein for too long.

IFM, HD, Horus, Zhero, Palmar, Beast

All of you need opinions on the most recent events.

I get a null read from TSO's most recent post. On one hand, could be a "save my bacon" vote on CES, on the other, he makes a good point about the naked vote and Town awards. As a counter argument, perhaps CES is a little bored of the game at hand?

I want to hear more from TSO and CES before a final verdict is made.

P-edit: being detached is more of a scum tell for newbies as it requires bad scum play whereas bad town play doesn't really explain it. I'm obviously not sheeping Bacde; no one sheeps Bacde. If you want to talk to me about being a 2005er, do you think I have trouble faking scumhunting as scum?

You're hard to read, Hoopls. How would you expect me to judge you if not by your actions?

I'm not trying to wifom people with bad play; it's not the kind of play I even consider doing as scum (which you know?) - it's just bad strategy.
In post 314, roflcopter wrote:how do you read the other people who could be so very anti-town as to be on your wagon?
Lean town on you due to pro-town energy; Bacde is definitely town; I'd expect more from HD but he should be readable with time; TSO is obvscum.

I play town as freely as I like. I won't deny that that has on occasion lead to me not playing all that spectacularly for periods of time but I do still think it's a good policy w.r.t. being readable.

I think I play a far more straightforward scum game (with a dash of elaborate bussing) - I just fake scumhunt and see where that leads me, play as townily as I can afford to, share as much of my reasoning as I can get away with, generally.

scum like to read me as town since I'm highly susceptible to AtE's

There's like a 0% chance of both CES and T S O flipping town

are they both scum? possibly

esp. with that "elaborate bussing" comment
