Sup. I'm posting this as my main and ffery can fix it. My family did early thanksgiving without telling me until last night (thanks guys) so my grandmother is currently using my room (which has my computer) and I won't be able to do much posting until tomorrow. me (R) initially scumread you because i felt you were being manipulative and you wanted to make us believe sakura is scum. then i thought about it and i saw that your motive probably wasnt that, as you kept questioning sakura but dropped the attempts to make others see what shes doing wrong (besides, realistically, you wouldnt have much of a chance convincing some of the players here to scumread sakura so easily), so i ended up accepting that its just your thing with sakura because you know each other and you were actually just trying to figure her out. sakura also felt better after some of her posting, so i concluded you both are town and posted so when you asked me.
my read on you remains town.

L scumread you from the beginning of her posting and still does so. im not sure why either, i have not really managed to get in synch with her or M yet.

M's only mention of you i remember was that he is townreading you in 317.

I was thinking that mafia would want rolecop. Like I said, I had a misconception about the mechanics. I thought there was some interplay between what the mafia wants/chooses for their ability and what town chooses. I went back and reread the mechanics after Sakura's question because I could tell there was a disconnect of some sort.

If nothing else i'd think scum are more likely to know/figure out the mechanics faster than town, the fact that ffery was lost and confused wrt how the banning/enabling works looks like a pretty big towntell to me.

no. she was making stuff up because she was cornered. she contradicted herself because first she said that she was thinking (to vote) rolecop, then she changed that to "no i was thinking what scum would want" while nacho had just asked the question and therefore she couldnt be thinking about it earlier.

I do ask questions as both alignments. It was mentioned by artemiskitty in the cash cabd game you're pretending you didn't play. I think there is usually something substantive missing from my questions when I'm scum, but I keep working on it - to think what I'd ask as town. I find it very difficult when I'm scum to capture a town mindset and emulate it. It's one of the weaknesses of my scum game, but there are some things I do to compensate, which are relevant to some of your questions below.

When I read Sakura's quotewall, this was the one I thought she got a little wrong. I don't know if i would have phrased it the same way as scum, but I would without a doubt say something similar. I tend to be apologetic or defensive about not voting rather than nope, not voting yet, deal with it. Being known as slow to vote at times as town is convenient when I'm scum, but it's a prominent feature of my town game, to the point where putting an early vote down garners suspicion among players who know my town game. If you want examples of that happening in games, I'll dig them up. But my waiting to vote for synchs with GiF was talked about in the cash cabd game, too.

He was definitely pressuring me and I was cooperating fully and openly in my answers because any off note or caution would have been obvious to him. Nacho knows that I hate to lie as scum and will, rather than answer the question asked, go off on a tangent a little that lets me keep to truthful statements. That didn't happen here, and in fact I made statements that I usually won't make even as town because I don't like or trust statements that boil down to "I am town" from other players and I avoid them myself. I realized partway through that discussion, particularly the part about why I didn't go after him assuming he's scum for misreading me, that I was making statements that boiled down to "I am town".

As far as length of time in replies, from my end these were not simple concepts to convey with words, and an entire day 1 landscape was rippling into different shapes throughout our exchange. I felt that either Nacho was going to find the sincerity and the town orientation in my replies or he was going to tunnel me into day 1 oblivion. My only meaningful defense was unswerving truth. No tangents and nothing that could be taken for obfuscation. Maybe someday I'll be able to emulate that kind of convo when I'm scum. I'm nowhere near there right now, so the best I could hope for in a game where I'm scum is to never give him reason to suspect me in the first place. If there's anyone who knows the current shape and lacks of my scum game it's Nacho.

what youre saying here is that you are aware of what nacho wants to see and you are aware of what you do as town or scum. that means that as scum, you would know what to say to appease nacho. of course its not easy, which explains the lagging.
