With brains like those, Flubber, not surprising you got endgamed in 182 on a lynch that you were the first town to vote on.
I mean, "could make an actual scum case" implies that making a scum case is the important act, like la dee dah I'm going to make a scum case on this guy as if the act of making the scum case is the important thing.
Not a search for scum.
Seems like the mentality of someone who knows that they're on the only scum team.-

+1, actually.beeboy - Everyone thought this game was made to troll pie but it was really made to troll pisskop.
Almost50 pisskop: Overall, that's a townie slot. Don't ask for specifics because with PK everything can be interpreted either way. It's probably WHEN he says/does things that matter, so it's more of a matter of conception rather than solid reasoning.-

That'd be cool! I'd like to play you again sometime, back home.
Incidentally, does Penguin still play here at all?-

(Disclaimer: I've only read up to page 11 without skimming, and I'm going to bed shortly, so I'll drop an overview of what thoughts I have off the top of my head.)
Honestly, as I'm rereading the thread, the weirdest thing about that whole RC vs. Jake mess is how quickly those two go from zero to a hundred m.p.h. based off a stupid ego match. I can kinda see Jake doing this, from what little I've seen of his play, but I'm not sure what to make of RC. There's a lot of theory, but I don't see much attempt to actuallyunderstandthe situation. I'm just waffling on whether it's entirely ego driven, or scum theater. I'm starting to lean towards the former, but I won't be sad if we lynch one them, with my preference currently being RC.
I actually really like Lostaway so far. The first post was meh, but I liked the second a lot. I'm leaning Town on her.
Matt's okay too, but I can't say I really care about his case on Bulge much, as of yet. I'm just kinda meh on Bulge as a whole, I guess. PK is okay-ish, but I've yet to be entirely comfortable with my ability to read him. I look forward to actually having some meta to work with, at some point.
Some of Bro's engagements are bothering me a little, but I want to see how that pans out.
No real scumreads as of this point. :/-

@Pac - I'm a fairly mild-mannered guy who started playing Mafia on another site, which is where I know Bro from. (I'm not an alt, if that's your question?) In terms of playstyle, I'd like to think I take a game thoughtfully, and I try to get a clear picture before I start pushing reads & the like, most of the time. I like to get a feel for how people think, and work down from there. I feel it works for me, as long as I can avoid getting caught in a stupid loop of second-guessing myself & procrastination. Unfortunately, this game has been almost entirely the latter, so I'm breaking it up into pieces so I can at least start moving.
I also post ridiculously late at night in recent times, and I whine about it all the time, because I'm toostupidbusy to change that easily.
That's the story of me. How about yourself?-

It's the way in which he's doing nothing. Not going to post my full intentionality theory, but the tl;dr is that true lack of intentionality comes from town, and I think pisskop has demonstrated true lack of intentionality.
Eh, I like this, actually.-

Im not getting a town vibe from her. Im not lynching you because of her. You, as a townie should be okay sacrificing yourself only if it comes to that, not eager to just cuz.
Can you point me to a couple of these games, please?-

Oh god I hate playing mafia back home. Not have a vote tag is literally satan.
Also penguin doesn't play too much anymore. She mostly posts in the GD threads nowadays.-

Okay, I'm ready for some eggs; these waffles are too starchy.
Sorry this too so long, but I needed to wrap my head around the Jake/RC fiasco to make sense of anything. Spoiler: I'm not voting for Jake. Yes, Jake has been incredibly defensive, but he's been consistently defensive. I don't think it's coming out of a mafia mindset so much as out of a lack of self awareness.
Two points on this -- first, he could not acknowledge at all my point how his initial two posts could be seen as "apologetic." Secondly, he couldn't see the wisdom in MattP's observation that his (Jake's) participation in the fiasco was having a negative effect on the town. In other words, I don't think Jake is being particularly adept in recognizing his impact on others, or how he's coming across, which I'd think is something a goomba would be particularly concerned with. One could charitably call it a "lack of intentionality" or less charitably as the arrogance of an overinflated ego, but regardless, for now, I think Jake actually is from State Farm.
Which leaves RC. Also arrogant and egotistical, but extremely self-aware, and relying an awful lot on meta and reputation. Add in an unhealthy dose of specious logic, voting all over the place, some unnecessary atrocious language, and resorting to emotional manipulation, and it's just all so over the top, I have a hard time believing this is someone who got the town's best interests at heart. It's the self-awareness that does it for me. I think RC is a goomba, but even if I'm wrong, the play is so anti-town I can't abide it.

It's actually really affirming that there's people in this lobby who will actually give thoughts into my reads after my lynch. That said,
Town:
PK:
I've played a ridiculous amount of consecutive games with Pisskop, and seen him both town and scum.
This is town.
Broseidon:
Incredibly town in general.
Plus, scum!Broseidon would easily be able to get away with voting me as a "policy", scum!Broseidon would see the advantage in doing so after NY167, and Broseidon seems generally reluctant to even address it and is obviously trying to steer the lynch away from me.
Leaning town:
Oversoul:
Was firmly in my townpile until he made a weird comment seeking my approval randomly.
That put me on edge about him but still lean-town.
Grimmjow:
The real ego is here. Pretty sure he's town, knows I'm town, but is just voting me because I wounded his ego.
That said, I'd have been happy to policy him on account of that.
Lostaway:
Especially after the last post, I went back and read Newbie 1594.
Town got a perfect win but she was basically exclusively voting town and ended the game voting town.
I've seen the anti-town = scum logic from bad players before so I'm actually leaning town even though this slot gives me cancer.
Plus the casual reaction to my waffle comment and continually making it a joke. I'd expect scum to be a lot more worried, especially given the context and how Jake blew up following my pressure.
Neutral but special note for Elyse:
I'd really like to say Elyse is town but Elyse can be the town MVP as scum.
She's with Boonskiies in being impossible to read but instead of just sorta being there she carries her teams.
If I was gunsmith, I'd check that N1.
Leaning scum:
Bulge:
Got pressured and decided to lurk it away. I don't fully agree with the wagon on Bulge, but I don't like how he decided to lurk it away either. He's posted in other games, too.
(I believe I can say that?)
Flubber:
This slot is most likely scum, but experience has shown that Flubber is in a tier of his own for being scummy and anti-town as hell on town side. Even if it were an IC, I'd be happy policy lynching this slot.
Scum:
Jake:
Done to death. Doesn't help my read that literally every scummy player decided that there was probably a scum in this wagon and it was probably me. Yeah, it's likely some scum player put out a warning about me in pregame, which would mean they'd want to lynch me in the 1v1 anyway, but consider how ridiculously on edge about my first vote Jake was.
EPM:
I absolutely hate the way that he jumped on this wagon as soon as I self voted, when before that he was always trying to keep it open as a lynch option but trying not to be seen as the instigator. It's pretty clear that this slot is scum and was just sitting back waiting for an opportunity that no one could call him out on, and used the "scum theatre" line from someone else as that opportunity.
Why are you in this game?
Vysepresident: 0 game related content. PoE suggests the slot is town but that's as much as I can say.
Everyone else is neutral.-
