Not sure I have any at this point.

Klingon sent some twitches, but then I found some of his other posts townie. I looked at elusive's case points, but didn't delve into them (although I might skim over his link).

I can say who I like for town so far:
Oversoul (plus is 95% never a day1 lynch for me)- latest explanation for changing vote- sometimes you just think that way
elusive- he feels real to me
BlueBlur- He's making cases and trying
Frog- weaker, but I think I like Plot's inights, if not the PbP.

weaker town- Perse- some of his early posting gut-towned me.

With that said, I'd be hard pressed to lynch Mastin or QuotePidgeon on day1. If they are scum, they can be caught in later days. If they are town, then their value increases the longer they live. (See the note on Oversoul).

This post is mostly why I don't buy PV scum.

  • I don't necessarily agree with all of these reads but I agree with some of them.
  • More importantly it shows PV's perspective which is that of "I have some okay town reads but the rest of the game is a blurry morass of under-the-radar players who may or may not be scum".
  • I'm town as fuck
  • that perspective exactly mirrors my own.
One's self-meta cannot be known without invalidating it.

I agree on PVtown.

Town: Mastin, Firebringer (bcuz of elusive), Oversoul, Drizzt, Flubber
Less Town, but still: Klingon, Banana, Peregrine, Triforcep
Null/Weak Town: Muffin (although frankly I think muffin is town in my gut, just less town compared to other posters I guess), pisskop

Remainder: Maxwell, singer (prob not mafia), Grib, LG, Gratuitous, Blue blur, Prolapsed, Bulbazoor*, Atum

Bulbazoor needs a little more attention from me. Might be town and I might be stubborn. Still feeling pretty decent about this list.

Still no explanation why Singer makes sense as SK scum. Really odd that people are calling that out specifically at this stage of the game.

Why are we lynching for a specific group on D1? Wasn't there a talk about preflip associations?

huh? The only recent talk of pre-flip associations was Singer calling G town for 2 of her scumreads being on the wagon which I think is pretty weak at this point in the game. I'd expect scum to be bussing anyhow given that he's THE wagon to beat right now and not really showing any signs of getting in here to acknowledge it.

Well, that was an interesting wagon that developed in my absence. Why I am I not surprised to see my two biggest scum reads (Bulba & Triforce) jumping on the wagon late with little reasoning (Bulba) or Triforce's #1318 where he sounds more concerned about a mislynch than solving, and then in #1329 he then jumps on the wagon when the only thing that had changed is that a person he had been scum-reading and voting for a long stretch of the day (Bulba), jumps on. that seems rather contrived to me.

For the rest of he people voting me. I'm still reading Banana Frog and Muffin hard town, and to me Flubbernugget's thought process has been pretty transparent, so I'm going lean town.

I'm in two minds on TBB, as admittedly the game has slowed so there's something to be said for trying to re-ignite it, but I didn't like how he(they?) were trying to almost force people onto a wagon to end the day. That itself feels anti-town, and opening the door for scum to get on a mis-lynch wagon without having to explain their votes is never a good thing.

As for the remainder I'm more inclined to believe the QTP's continued tunnel on me is townish, and I'm not really sure on Firestarter & Prolapsed (@Prolapsed, any chance you can follow up on the read-list mentioned in #1129?)

The middling Gratuitous wagon votes appear to all be 'huh? That guy? *checks ISO* Oh, yeah, he can be scum', and the last few votes are, 'lets get the dang game going'.

I can understand the sentiment of both, to an extent. Question, though... is Gratuitous scum because of inactivity? I'd have to say no, because calling lurkers scum was apparently a point against klingon, so that can't be it. Quoth's ? Where Gratuitous questions the placing of a vote because it happens to be the largest wagon, despite never actually reading the thread? I'm pretty sure Flubber's town, but why the heck is is strange to ask that? Is it because Plotinus asked first and Gratuitous was piggybacking his question? What is it? What?

It's not that I'm thinking Gratuitous is town. It's that I haven't really seen any reason to think he's scum, and this wagon makes me nervous.

If I had to pick between the two, I probably would vote klingoncelt, because although I'm not sure about her, there actually seems to be a case that I can see. But the beauty of the amount of players in the game means that I don't have to pick between the two of them, and it's not close to deadline either. I've also seen stagnating games, and this isn't one. Not faulting Blue Blur for going that way, but we don't need to pick between lynches right now.

This is off topic but: That feeling when you're searching 'Gratuitous' in the game and you see a line that pings your scumdar. Excited, you check the player name, only to find out that you made that post. It really takes the wind out of my scumhunting expedition. But it's also kinda hilarious.

I'm not really sure why I decided I wanted to unvote Bulba. Gut, I guess, at the time it seemed like a good idea. Saying I'd switch to Gratuitous if not Bulba was also something where I don't remember why I said it. I think at the time I was just swayed by popular opinion. At least I REMEMBER why I unvoted Bulba, but I'm honestly stumped on this.

So anyways, where I'm at right now: Flubber's probably town, Firebringer is probably not.

Though, while looking at Firebringer, I came upon Prolapsed Brain's Gratuitous vote, and I actually do think I understand where he's coming from. Maybe I just don't like how the wagon is forming in its latter stages. And then I hate Firebringer's Gratuitous vote right under it.

Oh, also, I like pisskop.

VOTE: Klingoncelt

Funnily enough, I also think Grib is scum. But while I'm against voting just because, I'm also not a fan of being on vanity wagons, unless it's a strong case I want people to switch over to.
One man's trash talk is another man's treasure talk.
