I read his Micro 558. There's really nothing different about his game play from game to game imho. Certainly nothing obvious.

I sense massive inconsistency in this player. In post 130 he started that scum theatre hypothesis that went on for a while, and voted LQ for it. this scum theatre view implicated house and LQ, however his behaviour from then onwards only condemns LQ. He even defends House in post 151 and explicitly draws attention away from house back to LQ. I won't pretend to know the motives behind it, save for the fact that it appears contrived and allows Jae have a legitimate reason to join the wagon on LQ.

Later on he reveals that Bellaphant convinced him that House isn't scum sided with LQ, however puzzlingly he scum reads Bellaphant and says

"I really want to respond to you as a person but I can't because I don't know for sure you're the same alignment as me"

post 200 For context, in the previous post he is clearly looking for reasons to call Bell suss post 192 even if he's trying to appeal to Ranger to do it. Talking about ranger, he's been ass kissing her this entire game. It's gets painfully overt here: post 188

My problem here is I started off townreading you and now I'm second guessing it for two main reasons.

1) You're trying to get up enough support to get a townie lynched without actually seeming like you're doing it.

2) this is seeming a lot like song game when you vote me for your song. You're trying to frame me for something you're guilty of. It puts your RVS in a new light (I originally interpreted it as a greeting).

This could be an elaborate omgus on my part. Not sure yet. Point is, you know better and you know I'm transparent as town. I think you know I'm town, and I'm not going to lie down and let you do what I think you're doing without a fight. (Huh.. I think I understand "friends don't let friends beat them at mafia now")

Side note: pista and smither fos' of me look ok. Wrong but ok. Pista looks barely ok but I think that's just playstyle difference.

It's not a "really good point". It was an RVS joke. No way is scum going to pile onto an RVS wagon right from the get-go. Just a hint of maybe preparing the ground for a future play...

I have a LOT of experience playing this game at places like gencon and dragon con and running the game on the anandtech forums. But usually I run a Werewolf game; I thought i'd use there proper term here... and I screwed it up, which puts me at rank 3 in my list of people to kill.

So who's claimed scum so far? They should be 1 on the kill list: I HATE losing to some wearing an ass-skin hat. All else held equal, I say kill the people who are 1) working against knowledge (i.e. 'fake' scum) then 2) the least active (i.e. 'because' votes) then 3) people who are not taking the hunt seriously (i.e. screws ups).

Well, with just six posts so far, Dix actually qualifies at rank 2 on his own kill list. I'm not sure that people who make obvious jokes about being scum should be number 1 on any kill list, anyway, but maybe...? Is there a correlation between people pretending to be scum, and actually being scum?

That's a huge subversion of the rule... Keep it in the thread.

I see this as chip is trying to insinuate that LQ should take hint: "I'm (pretending to be) town morons, other people (pretending to be town) should take the hint".

I see this as LQ trying to insinuate "You are a (pretend) town player because you are bad at playing and I can read what you are saying like an open book.

As though to say "hey, i'm with scum" Chip insinuates himself as being linked with the only person near LQ on ranger's list: House.

Finally,

But it's not like I have nothing to work with. I've made a lot of posts in this game. I have a hard enough time understanding when people say that they null me because of how I can be when I play this game, but gut feelings aren't usually part of this factor. Usually it's accompanied by, "I don't like a lot of what he's saying, BUT..." I don't see that here, and you've only done it with me. It seems so out of place, and I'm not liking this interaction with LQ. You seem too dodgy and dismissive.

And plus, I really feel like you want me to town read you.
