MOD - Life has kicked me in the teeth today and I'll be driving like 12 hours tomorrow so consider my normal weekend V/LA started a bit early.


Luckily day just started so I expect there will be time for me to catchup and get my thoughts on coordination in thread.

Let's start to strategize though. What is the best plan? To me it makes sense to call the rooms, period. There's nothing that messes with an individual and room choice correct

Lars can move people to different rooms.
Rooms can be closed.
Locked down, aka people cannot target outside of room they're in.

Can scum kill only happen in room they occupy? (Kind of doubt it).

Doubt it, but they have room specific mechanic 1 shots.

Ok, so the rooms can be fully controlled. What's the best way to utilize? Vig in with a pool of targets?

mod: if the fruit vendor gets roleblocked from targeting the speicific roleblocker, are all actions and parts of his action roleblocked?

Quick thoughts on room coordination:

* We should absolutely set rooms specifically, since in general scum rely on same-room 1-shots and town does not.
* At least three per room if possible, since scum can only kill one and presumably the room QT can confirm who was in what room.
* Town should place Derek, Jailkeep, Bus Driver, Saboteur in same room whenever possible unless circumstances force otherwise
* Impossible to coordinate a neighorhood-only room without outing them. If I may, I'd suggest they develop a code of some kind N1 to try and circumvent this problem in future night phases.

Ideally we would be able to force Goatmeal and a couple vig targets into one room so they can only vig players we collectively decide are scummy enough to be vigged

I just don't see anyone willingly going into a room just to die regardless of their alignment

I was under the (rather recent) impression the strength of the Neighborizer was getting information from other QTs the members of the neighborhood were part of; therefore, if scum slip up somehow in a QT they think is private the neighborhood members can out them. Outing members of the neighborhood therefore puts scum on guard if they spot a neighborhood member in one of their QTs.

If a scum suspect doesn't go into a room with an active Vig then we lynch them immediately the following day. Problem solved. This should be easy to confirm if we get at least 3+ players in that room.

And I don't care about the excuse "well i'm town and don't want to waste my life" if you're town you do as you're fucking told by the consensus near the end of the day.

I'm a little off on my thoughts at the moment because I've been drinking but

Vendor should be sent into room to confirm that certain roleblockers have done their jobs properly. IE sent into the same room as Derek and ordered to vend to someone in a different room to see if Derek used his ability. Or deliberately force the JK to target him.

Is there a reason I'm missing that we should consistently keep the Vendor shut down?

I don't quite follow this. It kind of hurts my head a little. Why would scum want to go to a specific room other than if they want to be in the same room with other player(s) ? I don't see that there would ever be any reason to prevent a specific person from entering a specific room based on the room. Allowing / denying certain roles to access certain other roles, yes, but blocking a room won't do anything to a specific player that I can see as being reliably predictable (but perhaps mildly.)

Anyway, to answer your question, imo, I see room-block more useful for town once the group is smaller and a much more long-term useful role for scum (a reason I was surprised Lloyd went so far down) to simply increase their fuck-with utility-belt.

If you for some reason you want a specific person in a specific room (or out of a specific room, but still want others to be able to be in that room), it's probably best to talk to whoever drew Lars and make a case to them and then the whole group could discuss the proposal.

Yeah, unless I find a way it can be specifically used to gather info, then I'll either randomly block a room, announce the room blocked so no one picks it, or just do nothing. We'll see how it goes.
