I've seen town go for a lynch on themselves to give validation to their case a few time:
Jake From State Farm/BigYoshiFan in Mini Normal 1832 Day 1
Nachomamma/Elyse in Family Mafia Day 4 (when he resorted to this tactic)<Embrace The Void>

Noted.
Will respond to everything when I have time, only thing that's a short response is
@Ruko:I meant to type "Why or why not?" but I was exhausted and just typed the last part. I noticed it last night but didn't bother correcting it as it was a tone issue not a semantic one.. Looking forward to your reread of the question later, and will respond to the rest of yours when time is created.-

If you're asking about the point itself rather than the timing and suspicion I have that you went back to just grab something to justify a vote upon seeing the thread start to lean toward a Frozen wagon... Ehn.In post 398, Prism wrote:
Following up on this section, what was your judgement of my point on Frozen's misinterpretation of my post (later plausibly explained by Frozen)? Did you not find it scummy prior to resolution? Why not?In post 396, BATORU wrote:It felt like you were trying to find a reason to go with the flow and blend in.
I can see you thinking that Frozen was misrepping you, but also I feel like there's no scum motivation in her doing so, as it's something that you could easily go back and fact check and present the argument that you just did. I don't feel like Frozen would need to blatantly make things up regardless of alignment, and while the language is accusatory that's also how Frozen tends to type.
So no, that particular point was null since I have played with Frozen before and thought it was more likely to be a misunderstanding due to the language barrier than her twisting facts. I haven't seen her scumgame though, so that's basically conjecture on my part. Fire might have a more definite answer on that one.
As far as your reasoning there, if you're scum the motivation is that you have something that is generally seen as highly justifiable to make a vote off of and push. Combine that with the timing and you have my thoughts on it. If you're town then you thought she was misrepping you, so I guess my question to you is do you find misreps to be inherently scummy?

I was busy yesterday and did not get a chance to post.
Anyway, Drealmerz, you claim I was talking about a Vigilante and came to the conclusion that I was worried one might exist. As pointed out, it's true that I really do not want a Vig to exist in this game purely because I hate Vig as a role (as shown by my quotes in Mini Theme 1801, but also in other games like Open 644). Besides, if scum were worried about Vig purely because it could kill them and not because they hate the role, they would point this out in the Daychat rather than here.
Also, there wasn't much to talk about. At that point setup spec that didn't reveal any information to scum was better content than RVS.
I dislike Drealmerz' push on me but I am inclined to read it as only very weak scum for now."one of these days i'll read you correctly" - Transcend, Micro 714-

excuse me for my absence.
Prism: i see your points on Frozen, and ones like 482 in particular seem very nit-picky. i wouldn't say you're scum for it, but the thought that Frozen would be less likely to make the mistake as town is a bit silly. if one is misreading/misunderstanding the wording of something, it's NAI. she wouldn't be more likely to pick up on that as town, and trying to quantify how much a player is trying to read you based on something so flimsy, is just going to lead to a lot of unnecessary semantic arguments.
i'm not caught up yet, but ironstove: honestly, claim your abilities. you've already said what they do, you need to clear up the confusion about how it works. wanting clarification on that isn't a scumtell. do you block the ability's affect on you before reflecting, or does the ability work and then reflect? it's the difference between whether you'll be able to be investigated or not.-

How does this work? Wouldn't it give whoever targets you the spell to reflect back other spells in exchange for what they used?
Probably shouldn't have claimed-

Pretty humorous that pointing out that giving us a 75% chance of a double mislynch is not a good town play earns me a vote.

Ok, so you claim that because Frozen could not emulate your thought process she is less likely to be town from your pov, as her stated reasoning for her questions was to attempt to figure out the way you think? In post 482, Prism wrote:My point on Frozen was not that they were intentionally misrepresenting my statement, but rather that it was almost certainlyunintentional. My point is that if they were trying to "get in my head" or understand me as they claimed, it would be a much harder mistake to make.
I mean... I wouldn't necessarily say the thread seems to be turning toward Dunnstral right now. The self-righteous "scumread me idc" kinda attitude here is more likely town though I think. Will see what I think in the morning but basically I think it's harder for scum to fake that kind of feeling. Smith brought up a thing on tonereading here that might explain what I mean better.Prism wrote:Don't like Dunn's jump to my defense. What don't you like about Dunn's jump to your defense? How do you feel about Sondam stating Dunn is scum then voting BTD6? Thoughts on iron?
