Posting and Voting

Activity and Deadlines

1. This game under each setup will start with Deadlines of 14 days and 48 hours nights (If nights exist).
   
2. Failure to post within 48 hours without advance notice will result in a prod.
   
3. You have 24 hours to respond to a prod, lest you be replaced. Regardless, three prods will result in a force-replacement.
   
4. If your role gives you access to a Private Topic, you may request that a partner be poked. This will not count as an official prod.
   
5. Please give notice of V/LA in-thread or via PM.
   
6. Night actions are due an hour before night deadline. Please be aware of this.
   
7. If you are going to be V/LA for more than 5 days I will extremely encourage you to replace out.
   
8. A missed Night Action will result in a No Action.
   
9. If you must replace out, I EXTREMELY encourage you to write up a "Notes PM" to send to moderator to get your replacement to catch up to what they missed. You will be reminded of this if you request to replace out.

Game Setup

1. This game is a Semi-Open game.
   
2. This game employs Decision mechanic, which is detailed much more below.
   
3. One player has a Neutral role. This players alignment will possibly change based on Decision 1.
   
4. This game has two versions. A 13 player version and a 15 player version.
   
5. Scum will have chat pregame and before Decision 1 is made.
   
6. Players have access to Working Papers, this is also known as last will. This is a content filled post that players can prepare before their death is announced to be posted upon their flip. Anything game related that isn't breaking any rules can be put in it. You cannot make this AFTER your death is announced.

Decision

1. Each day players will decide between a few options that will change the game.
   
2. All possible decisions and options are public information.
   
3. The first decision will be which setup will be played.
   
4. The first decision will take place before you can vote for anyone to be lynched and will have 7 days to decide.
   
5. All decisions after Day 1 will be take place concurrently as lynching.
   
6. A decision must be made even if a majority isn't made on it, the option with most votes by deadline will be the one that goes through.

Welcome, you have joined our accounting staff here. We are glad to have you aboard the team.

As a member of the internal audit staff for Buissness Company, its our job to help prevent any material misstatements in the financial statements by making sure Buissness Company follows GAMP (Generally Accepted Mafia Principles).

So a little about the company.
Annadog40, is acting CEO, the company conducts business in the manufacture of the consumer good of staples that is widely used throughout the continental united states.
It employs some of the best mafiascum members in its management position.

I am currently the CFO, but my job is in danger

I believe that the company is at a serious risk for a embezzlement due to lack of serious internal controls that prevent separation of duties within the business. To keep potential and current investors at bay, I have gathered together a group of accountants to route out any potential fraudsters before this becomes a public scandal.

It is your job to ensure the accuracy of the financial documents that Buisness Company reports to the public so as to maintain its integrity. You have only a few days before the period ends to collect material and make sure everything is accurate,

Decision 1

We have done some analysis using analytical procedures, which you began and saw that there was higher chance of discrepancies in two accounts. Cash and Accounts Payable.

We will need to do more testing of both of these, but we will have to do one of these first before working on other.

Shall we examine:

Cash:

Game will proceed with new role pms being given out and the game turned to a normal game following normal game guidelines for roles and most parts of setup excluding the Decisions and Working Paper mechanics.

Accounts Payable:

Game continues as a nightless game. With the rest of the players going into teams of two in neighborhoods. Players can pick their teammate in intermediate phase before lynch. Scum also get a 1 shot Day Kill that they can use at any point.

Nightless

1. There is no night kill, no power roles.
   
2. All player roles are vanilla.
   
3. Scum will have a one shot day kill that can be used at any time.
   
4. Scum have constant chat
   
5. One player who was neutral will convert to scum team.
   
6. All players will join a neighborhood with a player in game for 2 player neighborhoods.
   
7. This game will be a 10:5 Town to Scum [15v]
   
8. The game will be a 9:4 Town to Scum [13v]

Decisions

Day 2 Decisions:

(1) Lynches from here on are done by gladiate between group pairs. One team challenges another and only people within those groups can be lynched.
(2) The game will proceed as normal, no changes to be made.

Day 3 Decisions:

(1) Players can continue talking to their neighbor if they die from this point forward.
(2) Players can change up the neighborhoods (accounts) they are in for this day and forward. Neighborhoods can still only be two players.

Day 4 Decisions:

(1) Players now act as lover pairs in neighborhoods. If one player dies/lynched, other also dies.
(2) Game continues with no changes.

Day 5 Decisions:

(1) Game speed will now be that of a Blitz. 72 hour day/24 hour night.
(2) Game speed will now be sped up to 7 days for Day. 24 hour night.
(3) Game Deadline removed

Normal

1. All players will get a new role pm that will follow Normal guidelines.
   
2. Please see the Normal Game Wiki for further description of what constitutes a normal game on MafiaScum.
   
3. The only non normal mechanic in this game is the "Decision" mechanic and "Working Papers" seen above.
4. No White List role(s) were used.
   
5. This setup was made with a reasonable assurance to balance.
   
6. This game will be a 11:4 Town to Scum with 1 Scum being a traitor who losses if last scum [15v]
   
7. This game will be a 10:3 Town to Scum. [13v]

(1) The game has now two lynches for this day instead of one. The scum team gain a factional strongman/ninja/roleblock if this occurs. This factional can be used on any night.
(2) The game will proceed as normal, no changes to be made.

(2) Players all become temporary mailmen. They can send up to 10 messages total to players, for this day only.

Day 4 Decisions:

(1) A player can be publicly role copped for the day. Players vote for the person to be role copped after this is chosen. This person role copped cannot be lynched for this day.
(2) Game continues with no changes.

Day 5 Decisions:

This game is likely not perfectly balanced, but I did attempt to make it so which is why it was made a Semi-Open. I don't give a guarantee of balance but if you have complaints, you can always shout in the Mafia Discussion thread about this setup post game.

Also as in the flavor of this game, while it encompasses many things that happen during an actual audit, isn't a complete picture of what occurs during it. I know very few people care about this flavor, but it is a personal interest and love of mine. I had plans to eventually create real financial statements to accompany the flavor of this game, but I have dropped that both because of time and because I know the player base here will likely find it boring.

Hi, you made me dead. Since you're reading this, it looks like my shitty selfvote gambit didn't pay off; I figured doing something wacky was my only shot at not being lynched this game with conftown Titus tunnelling me. Sorry Cabd, please don't yell at me for selfvoting as town. Very rude of you, you know. My thoughts are largely all in the thread already, because that's how playing town generally works. I'm conflicted on whether you should even give Infinity a chance in LyLo. If we lose to a false negative investigative result, I can live with that, those should probably not even exist because you're just being suboptimal if you ignore them like setups seem to want you to magically do. Objectively, no amount of good play should make up for the increased probability of Infinity being scum.

On the other hand, I'd encourage you to at least reread the relevant people and consider your ultimate decision with knowledge of game events behind you. Personally I think NM is town as much for his interaction with the Pine wagon as the Bork thing everyone else likes to harp on, or at least I was strongly leaning that way, but I was concerned by the way he handled the public rolecop, continuing to push for rolecopping myself or Infinity long after we established that was a bad idea. While hito and Titus were both volunteering, he ignored the issue. Maybe he is actually just such a weird player it can't be comprehended why he does the things he does and I guess his username might refer to what game he should play.

So yeah good luck, Titus please be willing to listen to other people because you're not perfect as evidenced by this flip, and I'm very glad to not be the one in Infinity's shoes today whether he's town or not. Peace out good luck etc.

Now this is a complete cluster fudge. Excuse my language. One of our employees apparently made a deal with the company we were auditing. They were going to show favorable results in exchange for monetary gain. Of course we immediately fired them, but now we are being blackmailed by the company that they will expose this to world if unless we "playball", I don't know what they are thinking with this. They have far more to lose than us. Can this audit get anymore complicated?

We still have lots of work to do, so let us get back to auditing.

So - I think Infinity got caught sleeping here. I think he was pulling an early buss-vote, expecting the wind to swing elsewhere. I had been suspecting Kuroi most of the game.. but trying to give him pretty big signals that I was townreading him.. and I think INfinity bough it and didn't think I would turn on Kuroi. I did, the lynch sped up, and Infinity couldn't backtrack.
Could Not-Mafia have hammer-bussed? Sure. But that seems pretty bold. Infinity fits here, too...mostly.
Also worth mentioning- this shows Hitorogoshi NOT voting on both scumlynches. I think he gets on his buddies wagon AT LEAST once.. but this

be suspicious in a newbie.

This I think REALLY fits with infinity scum.
I pushed for an infinity lynch. It wasn't flying. It was hard to achieve. Infinity didn't really fight back... then I gave him the hammer-

Any townie would look at my logic stream and say- oh. It's him or me. Obviously I will hammer him. But Infinity LITERALLY ASKED FOR PERMISSION. From a town POV, you don't ask for permission to lynch conf-scum. From a scum POV.. you know it's a mislynch.. you know you die the next day... this is scumplay. Do the right thing people.

We are at the last hump of the audit, now that we went over the troubling accounts and discovered Cash had some major deficiciencies, and did our tests by using vouching samples of transactions, our original assessment of the risk of it being High risk situation, we can now safely compile our data and make a conclusion with the information also provided on other account balances to the financial statements as a whole.

We found all the errors, something we thought was impossible. It seems that the fraudsters won't get away with it this time. We were able to fix all the financial statements and issue a Unqualified Opinion without major risk to us or the Buissness Company. Now hopefully this won't happen again, we suggested to management to put in place more intensive internal controls and to ensure it is followed.

The last fraudster was reported to the audit committee. They were terminated for having financial stake in Buissness Company.
