Well maybe getting lynched isn't his wincon but that doesn't mean it couldn't be beneficial.

In royal rumbles you sometimes get the spot where a big bad gets ganged up on and eliminated and then comes back in the ring mad and cleans house.

Maybe he is some sort of bomb that torches everyone on his wagonabd has a hidden partner that isn't voting for him.

Lots of things are bastard. Not all of them apart from Jesters can be in the game. I think the Gamma role is why we were told no Jesters. I think taking it to lynch would end poorly.

No jesters IS a very specific denial. It's hard for me to believe that Gamma thought his play would lead to him surviving. He didn't provide any reason for us to work with him, besides his honesty, and then he revealed he wasn't even honest. I don't think it's a lock that he wants to be lynched, but I would've assumed jester if the mod hadn't confirmed otherwise. And the fact that the mod specifically confirmed otherwise makes me suspect that Gamma benefits from being lynched.

i don't even find it an especially specific denial. i thought Jesters were just so contrary to the basic mafia goal of killing players that aren't town (because one is punished for it) that Kuroi confirmed they weren't in this particular bastard game.

we don't need to quicklynch Gamma but i'd rather just flip him at some point.

Gamma's play isn't out of character for Gamma, who i've seen as childish and egotistical before.
i could be wrong but the comparison to another game where ABR was lynched as a 3p makes me think Gamma genuinely thought his bad play would single-handedly change the meta.

if Kuroi said the game didn't have jesters, a role where town is punished for lynching non-town, in order to include a different role that isn't a jester but also makes lynching that non-town dangerous... it would definitely be a troll, and a very specific moderator 'lie' designed to trick the players.

pedit: more than four seems like a lot. that we have only scum deaths so far doesn't mean the setup necessarily is bloated with scum, it just means scum have been unlucky, what with getting dayvigged and then one team shooting another scum.

Two scum could just be a coincidence, but as you said, the setup is weird enough that a lot of teams might not work here. Kuroi specifically said that this setup is hard to win. I think that implies an abnormally large number of teams.
