If a majority is not reached by the deadline, a No Lynch will occur.
You may vote No Lynch in the same way that you vote for a lynch. Once a majority has voted for a no lynch the day immediately ends.

I will try and do vote counts often but if you want one just let me know. In general, I will be mainly available evenings (5 PM - 12 PM Pacific) and weekends, so you may not get a quick VC if it's in the middle of the day.
As the MOD I will keep communication down to the absolute minimum possible (aside from vote counts and the like). I do not want to influence the game itself – that is for the players to do.
Flips will have full role revealed (I will essentially post the PM you received on your flip with the obvious required reductions)
Game Flow:
The Game will begin and the thread will be unlocked after 7 players confirm via PM, or 48 hours after role PMs are sent, whichever is faster. I will not, however, unlock the game thread before 24 hours have passed.
I will auto-replace any player who has not picked up their role PMs within 72 hours after I send out role PMs.
If you have not posted for 48 hours you will receive a prod. If you do not post within 24 hours of a prod you will be replaced. A naked "prod dodge" does not reset the prod timer. To avoid being prodded/replaced for inactivity, include some game advancing content in your prodges, such as "got prodded; xxxx is still scum."
Please announce if you are going on V/LA. I prefer this announced in thread unless there is a specific reason not to. If you are on V/LA, you are still expected to post in thread at least every 96 hours. If this is an issue for you, please discuss it with me PRIVATELY via PM.
Three prods may result in being replaced.
Day phases will last a maximum of 14 days.
Each Night Phase will last 48 hours.
Mafia chat with each other at any time.
You may communicate as normal during the twilight phase until I close the thread but votes/un-votes will not count.
Extensions may be granted for replacements or extenuating circumstances.
A missed Night Action will result in a No Action.
The game will end when all threats to town have been eliminated or that is not possible.
If you must replace out, PM me privately and stop posting in thread.
If a player replaces out while having a vote active, that vote will remain active until such time as the replacement chooses to unvote or vote elsewhere. The sole exception is when a player replaces out while self-voting. In that case, the act of replacing in is considered an automatic unvote.

The following is information that should help you acclimate to the game of mafia, mafiascum site meta, and the newbie game format specifically.
Basic Game Mechanics
Spoiler: Alignment and Role Randing
Every single player is randed into a role and alignment by a random, unbiased process (typically random.org, dice tags ,etc). In particular, an IC is no more or less likely to be town or mafia (or a power role for either alignment) than an SE or a newbie.

You vote either by bolding someone’s name or using vote tags, which look like:
Most mods will accept minor misspellings of a player’s name as being a valid vote.
While we’re at it: don’t self-vote. Self-voting can sometimes be appropriate behavior for mafia; it is virtually never appropriate behavior for town. Do not do it.
Spoiler: Lynching
When a majority of living players votes for someone, that person is lynched.
Spoiler: MYLO and LYLO
The mafia will win when they equal or outnumber the town. This means that, for the mafia to win, they must at some point reach what is known as MYLO (mislynch and lose) or LYLO (lynch correctly or lose).
MYLO happens when the town only outnumbers the mafia by 2 during a day phase, and LYLO happens when the town only outnumbers the mafia by 1 during a day phase. In the newbie game format, this can happen as early as day 3 given two mislynches and one or two successful night kills.
In MYLO/LYLO, the mafia have the ability to win by quick-hammering a town that has votes on them. As a consequence, it is important to have all of the relevant information you can get as town. For starters, during MYLO/LYLO there is typically a mass claim of power roles if any still survive. This helps ensure that there is a cleared town member, or if there are countering claims, it helps to narrow down who might or might not be mafia. If you are in MYLO/LYLO, and it is possible or outright known (based on flipped roles) that at least one town PR still exists, DO NOT VOTE before the mass claim happens.

Spoiler: Random Voting Stage (RVS)
On MafiaScum, games typically begin with what is known as RVS. Because town has not information about who is or is not mafia, while mafia know everyone’s alignment (though not roles), games typically begin with voting and questioning other people. RVS usually starts with silly-looking votes for silly-looking reasons, but it is through these votes and the reactions to them that we can start to determine who seems likeliest to be mafia.
Spoiler: Basic Lynch Mechanics and Role Claiming
When a majority of living players vote for the same slot, that person is lynched. On day one, the fifth player to vote for someone is what is known as the “hammer” vote. If you are the third or fourth voter, it is common and courteous to make this very explicitly clear (L-2, L-1 notation after your vote, preferably in bold and/or large letters).
If there are four votes on someone and you intend to be the fifth, you should state hammer intent. This gives the player you want to hammer a chance to make a final defense and potentially role claim. DO NOT hammer someone without giving them a chance to defend themselves and if necessary role claim.
If you are a vanilla townie, this is appropriate behavior because someone who seems suspicious or “off” may simply be a town PR (power role), and because it is considered highly suspicious behavior and may get you lynched the next day.
If you are a town PR, this is appropriate behavior because you may end up hammering the OTHER town PR, and because hammering without caring for a claim is often a signal that YOU are a town PR, and because it is considered highly suspicious behavior and may get you into a situation where you are forced to claim your role the next day.
If you are a mafia, this is appropriate behavior because it is considered highly suspicious behavior and may get you lynched the next day.
If you are a vanilla townie who is up against hammer intent on you, DO NOT FAKE CLAIM. It is common for the actual town PR(s) to counter claim you, and that will allow the mafia the ability to kill the town PR at night. Defend yourself, but if you have to claim a role, do not lie.
If you are mafia who is up against hammer intent on you, do whatever you think will advance your win condition. This may be self-defense, or fake claiming a town power role, or may simply be claiming vanilla townie. Use your judgement about what will help your team the most.
For the town, lynching each day is essential, with very specific exceptions. Do not ever no lynch on day 1.
Spoiler: Scum-Hunting
Scum-hunting is hard! But even harder than scum-hunting is fake scum-hunting. If all town-aligned players invest into the game, and are truly trying to figure out who is and is not mafia, then it becomes massively harder for mafia players to blend in and either actively drive mislynches or sit back and watch town destroy itself; moreover, their insincere attempts to pretend to be trying to sort and solve players’ alignments stands out starkly against a town that is collectively engaged in sincere, energetic and aggressive attempts to find the mafia. If most to all town-aligned players are inactive, or lazy, or just choose to let someone else do the work, then it becomes much harder for town to win. Moreover, it’s simply a much more fun game when everyone is active and engaged.

Im so frustrated with that specific possibility, that I will always be a townie to be lynched. It might be a newbie game problem, but people lynching just to fast forward to D2/D3 really grinds my gears..
This post very strongly implies that the jackass who LOLhammered him in your game was town, and cabd is a backup mod in this game and an IC in yours. I don't know what optimal approach is, but you should be aware of it.
Bold/underline mine. That specific language very strongly implied creative was town because if creative was scum, why would it be anything other than good scum play to quicklynch and get away w it? This was something that got redacted QUICKLY by fferyllt (mod in other game) especially since rc and cabd were both involved in that game and could have seen the post.
Scum have the absolute right to not have their alignment revealed due to someone (especially someone who already has been told peoples' alignments) talking about the game in a public forum.
This is something this site takes VERY seriously.
Newbie Game Format
Spoiler: Newbies, SEs, and ICs
Players are split between newbies, semi-experienced players, and (typically) one inexperienced-challenged player.
Newbies are players who are, well, new. That does NOT necessarily mean that they are new to the game of mafia; they may simply be new to this site.
Semi-experienced players have met experience requirements and can generally be assumed to have some level of familiarity with the game mechanics, site meta, etc. Please note that SE players DO NOT have any particular obligations to be helpful or do anything beyond the obligations of any other player in a mafia game.
Inexperience-challenged players (ICs) are players who have met experience requirements that are more stringent than SE players and who DO have obligations beyond those standard to any player in a mafia game. In particular, IC players are bound by the standards as laid out in Being a Good IC.
Spoiler: The Setup
The current newbie game setup is 2d3. The most important things that you need to know are:
There are seven town players and two mafia players.
There are probably (but NOT definitely) two town power roles. Unlike matrix6, there are many different possible combinations of town power roles; for example, the existence of a cop does not prevent the existence of a tracker; nor does the existence of a jailkeeper prevent the existence of a doctor.
There may (or may not) be a single mafia power role.
Each possible combination of town power roles appears only once in the setup. This means that if a cop and neapolitan flip, then you know that all other town roles are vanilla townies, and that scum have a goon and a roleblocker. On the other hand, if a mafia goon and a cop flips, it is not public knowledge whether the setup is A1 (town neapolitan, mafia roleblocker), A3 (town doctor, mafia roleblocker), B1 (town tracker, mafia rolecop), or C1 (vanilla townie, mafia goon).
