The secret key is the identity of all three masons. If scum knows that; they don't need to know python, the game's effectively over anyways... sort of.

This is basically equivalent to having a publicly available lookup table with all combinations of masons and specifying what order they should visit players in. That makes sure the masons know who the other masons visited, and doesn't really allow for reverse engineering until the game is essentially over anyway.

This also allows for audible calls. One could, for example, make it clear to the others that visiting X is off the table, and then they can add them to "donotvisit."

What if they hit scum? Even with 1 scum don't they all have to out- at least 1 person will have to out in combination with the other person already outed and from there scum could reverse engineer the third person by putting in the three known values.

The code I posted is pretty far from cryptography or anything else that is illegal, and I think FG is technically capable enough to recognize that. Using the X,Y,Zth words might count as a code.

That's the name of the game no matter how this works out, and is vastly preferable to "we have no idea who the dead mason hid behind."

Breadcrumbing remains a possible strategy if someone feels they're visiting a possible-scummo.

in any setup that revolves around a town minority that should be protected, its only natural that people will try to manipulate the setup to protect them. Starting that convo should not be townread, and especially not the one he came up with, with all of its flaws.

In all honesty, the skepticisms he's voicing regarding this plan are ones I was worried about too.

There is no mason PT. There has to be a means of coordination or the masons just die and town learns nothing when they do except for maybe some breadcrumbs that probably tipped the scum off in the first place.

I get waht your saying, but I didn't see any scumminess behind his thoughts, besides that, I gave him a town read on page1? (maybe page2) Maybe you think I have AD as lock town? I don't.

In all honesty what my plan would be would be to have everyone target their highest tier townread for the day that hasn't been already checked.

It limits the randomness factor and looks to clear town more than risk putting them in danger.

I'm worried about the fringe cases where all 3 end up targeting scum and we get fucked because of it, when applying reads could have been a giant help.
