Notably, I don't use the wiki at all for my setup design.
I was unaware that culting people makes them lose their abilities in usual cult setups.
I've run multiple 5p Cult Vengeful setups and the cult recruit didn't null a vengeful, though that didn't matter in that setup.
Hell, if ya look at games I've run with cults (FFTactics, recently), you'll see I didn't have that as part at all--in fact, getting culted gave the player MORE abilities on top of the ones they already had!

I think what we can conclude from this is that instead of killing roles we have a shit tone of roleblocking roles.

Because of the specfic nature of how my immobilization works. It doesn't stop someone from being recruited, because I had targeted Almost, Dunker, AND Screenplay last cycle.

My Roleblocking ability is more of an investigative kind.

The other CL "might" be Gamma, or it still could be Varsoon, or maybe it's something I've overlooked. THAT was why I wanted to wait before I exposed Jay.

Yes gamma does give me CL pings. The way he was trying to pocket me on play1, and interacting with me, makes me believe he mightve tried to recruit me (hence his being pissed off, since it probably failed).

If I failed to recruit do you seriously think I would have had the reaction I did? I will give you the pocketing point though.

Well, the way I see it, it's either:
A) Jay is lying.
B) Drealmez7 was using fluff that we're taking way too seriously.

Because of how Jay describes her ability:

Because it holds priority and, if successful, makes the people I target immobilized and unable to do their action REGARDLESS of the order of the action sent.

This and other posts makes it sound like a Jailkeeper ability, which means both A) Creature couldn't have targeted Dunker and B) Dunker couldn't have targeted Creature!

Unless there's an element to this that I'm missing.

Regardless, Jay's claim seems pretty solid and unfakeable (unless cult leaders have other abilities, but that seems unlikely?).

Cerberus' claim is a bit harder to confirm in this type of setup, allthough I kinda feel like I trust his claim.

Why Creature and Lift? Creature is normally frozen as wolf so unless you wish to say he is either frozen or is breaking his scum meta I have to disagree

Btw. Varsoon also complained about not having been recruited. What's with that around here? Do you really think it makes you look more towny? Or did you actually wish to be recruited - which in turn means, that you don't like playing for town (neutral). I think one should play for the side one is currently on and not banking on getting recruited. Otherwise you're hurting your side.

The way Vecna played on Play 1 earns him a solid TR,m and the way he crumbed a PR goes with what he is now claiming to be his power (although I misread his crumb for a PI; which returns Cult/Not Cult, and thus I never suspected Venmar when he asked Vecna in particular, but I tried to get him to be more subtle about it instead).

HOWEVER, Vecna is also very far off to suspect Creature when the mod did confirm BOTH players were Virgins and lost the V sign on their heads after the fact.

I had the impression too. And going over the mechanics explanation, it actually would make sense for us to vote as quickly as possible. It's pointless to hope that one immunizes someone who has been targeted by a CL - that wouldn't rob the CL of the conversion, it would rob us of an immunization. So voting ASAP after the play resumes and getting to the next pause before the CLs get a chance to send in a conversion target would be good play for town. It's too late to do that in this play phase, but it's something to keep in mind.

All i know is if I keep my abilities after getting recruited, ah man, that’s so cool. But for that full effect to be there, I need to be recruited early. My objective is to make sure I win, and with alignment changes, one has to take that into consideration.
