hard to say..initially i townread you because you are new to the site and i think scum new to the site would not be putting themselves out there this much on a day 1. but you are clearly an experienced player elsewhere and my feeling now is that you could be comfortable enough to be playing this way as scum even though its your first game on site.

at times, yes

i think the game has gotten shitty and dull and i don't like talking with most of the people in it, we've reached the stage of endlessly rehashing the same arguments while people loudly shield every major attempt at a wagon so nothing gets done

we are less than halfway to the allotted deadline and are already over 100 pages. we're on pace to have 150, possibly 200. absolutely no one is going to want to reread the colossal pile of shit we have generated, and that is a wildly pro-scum gamestate

scum are already winning this day phase, and potentially the rest of the game with it


the game does not need more "content", it needs less, and it needs it yesterday. it needs someone to actively be flipped.

this is maybe contrary to popular opinion where "we still have so much time to discuss" is the constant refrain, as though the optimal game state is to milk every last second of the clock available with the idea you will somehow come to an optimal decision, but having playing way too many games over the past few years i don't believe that to be the case. i think lengthy, idle day 1s are antitown.

When Ali hammered Dan I was really upset for about 10 minutes. I couldn't believe we voted Dan out after he spent like 3 days trying to catch up. And then his alignment was revealed and I was embarrassed. I felt like I was playing mafia really badly. It was hard to even feel relieved because it felt like I was wrong about so many things

My immediate reaction to him flipping scum:
1. I was probably wrong about Alisae
2. I was probably wrong about CSF

I've walked back a little on Ali's innocence after reading her D2 posts. Something feels off and I can't quite put my finger on it yet. CSF seems really town to me suddenly and I need to go back over D1 at some point to confirm this

Regarding D2:
1. furtive is probably town. I believe his roleclaim and two scum roleblockers seems unlikely. furtive is also someone I will have to read over their D1 interactions in a new light because I had a scumread on them
2. Gimli is probably town. His role just doesn't seem like a scum role at all to me
3. I'm having a hard time figuring out the Ali/peta/Asri interactions here. My gut is trying to tell me two of these three players are scum, but I don't trust my gut at all
4. Ari's persistence to make Cakez claim is annoying but I'm not necessarily getting wolf vibes from it
5. FB is probably scum. I felt this way at the end of D1 and I haven't seen anything remotely townie from him so far in D2

Another read I've flipped on is Alisae - I had e as scum towards end of day 1 before I got upset, but the way e has taken command of the town today (especially at day start) feels transparently town. I would be shocked if e pulled this kind of power move as scum - it feels untenable and I feel like I almost never see scum go "okay, I'm taking over as leader, this is our lim pool," etc. I dunno does that make sense?

This exact situation where the day starts and I take charge I think has historically been more so a town trait for me?
I actually can’t remember a wolf game of the top of my head that is similar but plenty of town games.
I also vote wolves less. Lycanfire vote on early pages and that read likely doesn’t happen. If one understands my play well enough one will probably come to the conclusion that I’m town because with Lycandan it was like “I fos this” “I see something that could be villagery” “I fos this”

I also think my role will clear me when I claim. My role always hammers dan and if anything the only thing I can think of that one would point at this with skepticism is that the hammer didn’t come out instantly as I wanted to think about it for a bit.

the issue I see with massclaiming is that I don't really understand what we gain from it. Most of the roles revealed so far are pretty esoteric - I don't think given the entire mass claim we'd be able to pick out which claim is the last scum.

I think if there are things that you can do with your role to help us narrow POE down you should probably claim it but otherwise there's no need to give the remaining mafia member an idea as to how many protectives are in the town and instead make them take risks.

Furtive is hard hard town. The traitor theory was fun to think about but realistically furtive is doing everything I would expect town!furtive to do and nothing I would expect scum!furtive to do.
