I think Candillan leans town. His posts seems like he's trying to scumhunt and I have a good feeling about him. Grim and Syryana - as I said earlier I have a feeling they are scum, but after some more posts from them I'm not so sure about that anymore. I don't have a read on you yet, and I do want to know what do you think about these players.

All the rest - if you don't start posting (and by "posting" I mean "posts with some content"), I'm afraid I'll have to switch my vote to one of you. Right now a wagon on shaboo seems useless cause he has a good chance to be replaced (I think), so I'll have to target another silent player.

I usually don't do this but this post really really stuck out to me...
The "I'm afraid ill have to switch my vote line" is bad. It's making excuses to hop onto a lurker wagon, and its avoiding taking concrete stances.

In other news I'm retreading but gotta go to a graduation. Ill try for tonight but no promises.

I'm much more interested in a candi lynch. He constantly calls his "tells" reaction testing, and I'm amazed the whole thing with "it was a joke" was dropped. I'm going to bed but I will be around tommoroe hopefully to finish my catch up.

Nice catch on how Syryana hasn't been here since his 180. I didn't really notice, but that may just be because it's the weekend. Almost no one posts here anyway. I wouldn't expect much from the weekend, lol.

I actually have been around and posting on site. I've just been deliberately avoiding this game; as I said in my earlier post I wanted to leave for a bit and come back with a clear head, as my game before I left was pitiful and frankly unacceptable. I needed a few days to air out and get a fresh perspective.

I'll be rereading the game more in depth later tomorrow, but I can say just from looking at recent posting that RachMarie is getting very suspect. She still hasn't done anything except pressure another lurker slot; no reads, no desire to move the game along, nothing. Heck, she didn't even comment on the large mess that was me vs. Grim. That said:

Furthermore, I can now say with nearly 100% certainty that both Grimgroove and Candillan are town. Here's why:

I somehow find Syryana's defense strangely convincing, despite the lack of actual arguments. It just sounds very genuine. Not really sure what to make of that.

The things that made Syryana go Town-->Scum were the Slip Grim pointed out and the sudden 180 on Grim.

It could be taken as an AtE, but I'm just stating the facts as is. I'm not sold on a Syryana lynch, as I would prefer a LnGrrrR lynch.

In the above quotes, you can see both Grim and Candillan are expressing reluctance towards my lynch. There's a decent case against me: the "scumslip", the 180 on Grim, "twisting words to make people look scummy" etc. Both Grim and Cand know what a pain in the butt I can be, both from this game and the previous one. Here they both have a golden opportunity to mislynch me and come off smelling like roses, yet Cand outright refuses to lynch me (though he now has a scumread) and Grim expresses reluctance and doubt since he believes my departure posts were genuine. I do not believe either player would pass up this opportunity to lynch me if they were scum, not when both have fairly ironclad reasons to see me strung up. Therefore, both are town.

I don't really like this post. It comes across as a bargaining chip. "I have town reads on you guys, so have a town read on me please..."

It might not be a slip, but there's definitely a logical fallacy there.

The underlined parts are crucial.
The "you" refers to yourself, as LnGrrrR, not waiting to claim because "scum" (by which I expect you to referring to someone else) could not "self-hammer" you then. This doesn't add up. Scum cannot "self-hammer" someone else. Scum can only self-hammer himself. It's in the verb.

The whole sentence is just wrong in pretty much every way. You explain your early claim by saying it prevents a self-hammer by scum. How does this work?

I also don't see how the "quickhammer" would make this explanation make any more sense. How does a VT-claim prevent a quickhammer?

My head hurts now.

I get Lnggr's logic here. Establish a precedent I claiming a L-2 so that scum can't self-hammer before being forced to fake-claim. I don't necessarily agree with this logic but I see the point and don't think it's worth the hullabaloo it seemed to have caused.

A few comments on things: how in the hell is candi still alive?
So many bad posts by page 5, and even more still coming.

The yupvyes argument is noise. Null. Lurker slots are null...
Rach is, unfortunately, being Rach... I've seen this behavior from her as any alignment and its impossible to read.

So for now my biggest town reads are: grim, David.

Between LnG and Syr, I'd obviously prefer the latter. But I'll vote LnG if that is what is needed to get a lynch. I'll keep an eye on the thread and make a decision closer to deadline. But please, not having our minds made up this close to deadline is a bad thing.

Because 1) I think most people on the Syr wagon were quick voting due to the deadline, 2) a few people have said they think my flip will be useful to catch scum, and 3) part of me is masochistic and wants to prove Candy wrong since he is being such an insufferable twat.
