Ohai, I have time for a longer post now.
Please call me Sunny, I prefer that to SD (I am the opposite of a memory card, as you will soon find out). If the scum squad could put red cover sheets on their TPS reports to keep things nice and simple, that would be greeeeaat.
Down to business:
We got to real content in record time. Amazing.
Chardev, why are you misrepresenting what CT asked? Your vote reason was obviously RVS (unless you're scum in which case props for being honest), but I can see why a newbie would want clarification.
Are you still using your odd town/scum scale thing you had in our first/last game, or was the 5% comment just a finger of suspicion kind of deal? (Mostly curious because it may change how I read your posts if you are.)
Oh, you retracted based on CT's newness. That's better.
CT gets points as a player for reading newbie games to get up to speed.
If an RVS vote and an OMGUS vote meet in one post, do they cancel each other out? Tune in for more at eight.
For the love of Chuck yes, please get avatars. I will fuck up your names and confuse the shit out of everyone from here to kingdom come if you don't. If you need help finding one, I'm happy to oblige.
ohai Chronic, please post soon.
CT's questions:
1: I've been playing for over a year off and on. I qualify as an IC, but don't feel up to the responsibility at this point in time. I will probably still attempt to be helpful because that's just how I am.
2 & 3: My approach is the same no matter what I roll: I throw myself at my win condition and see what sticks best for the game I'm in. Every game is different, so trying to use the same method across all of them would have...pretty terrible results, honestly.
4: It's rare that a single thing will flash a bright red "Town" or "Scum" light at me. When that has happened in the past it's generally been less of a "tell" and more of a situational punch to the face. For example: A nonsensical counter claim that could
only
come from scum, or someone exhibiting an extreme behavior I know from personal experience is not scum-driven. In normal play, however, my reads tend to be comprised of many interdependent elements that all add up to town-to-scum list that shuffles about constantly as I read and reread what's posted.
...I'm a bit conflicted about your responses. I'm going to think about it for a minute tho because it might just be that you're new and seeing things more black and white than they are.
