Well the problem with you claiming is that you didn’t discuss it beforehand. You just made decisions and then went to the mafia thread afterwards. And yes, I did veto your idea that would’ve put us even further at a numbers disadvantage and then instead of discussing anything further, you disappeared.

We are not going to agree with how things went wrong I think. I would like to point out you didn't say what your claim was going to be before you claimed.
I hope next time you are scum you play with someone more suited to your style.

- do not post while you are dead. i don't care that the game is "over" because the final scum got hammered and confessed. the game is not over until i say it is. there is always a possibility that the game is not over - the hammered person is lying about being scum, or in non-normal games there might be more factions - that the players should find out from the game mod, and not from a dead player. it's disrespectful to the game mod.

- never join a game i'm moderating or playing in again. i saw the posts you made in the normal game changes thread. or rather, others brought them to my attention. i know your alignment was public knowledge in this game so *technically* nothing new was revealed, but it is extremely disrespectful to both me and other players, and damaging to the game integrity to be discussing your own role (or close enough) in other threads. not to mention heavily breaks the no talking about ongoing games rule. there is no clever workaround from that rule.

- i am so so sorry your first game ended up being like this. trust me when i say that the entire time this game was happening, i felt so bad for what was going on. ultimately, i mod these games because i want my players to have fun.

i hope you won't be discouraged by this loss and will keep playing. i can see that you have a lot of talent for naturally sounding townie and making your way through the game state, as well as planning and figuring out who to push. i think mafia lost this game mostly due to bad luck and inexperience.

this game would have been hell for anyone that got randed into your slot. your most important mafia role was doing nothing and was bound to get eliminated before n3. it would've taken enormous effort to save him, and it's debatable if it would've been worth it in the long run. as for your other teammate, he was also doing nothing and actively not helping in the scum PT. games like these, where you have to fight not only the town but also your own teammates, are incredibly difficult and draining (trust me, i've been there). i genuinely applaud you for playing it out until the end.

your other mistakes happened with inexperience. the n2 kill was a huge mistake - titus had to go. it was clear that geraintm was not going to live long, and a town roleblocker is an incredible threat when there's only one mafia member left. i can understand why this is not something immediately obvious to a new player (i've done a similar blunder in one of my first mafia games on this site) and is something that will be picked up on with experience. TPR hunting is another aspect that will come to you as you play.

i also applaud your fakeclaim. a few times in my mafia career, i've pulled off the "claim so stupid it might work" gambit and they're always incredibly satisfying. you came close to getting it. as you play more games, you will start to get a feel for setups, and which claims work well and which don't. this is another aspect that was against you this game - a few players here, especially aristeia, are VERY familiar with my type of setup design. and while i try my best to make my setups not be easily guessable, "n2 informed that's informed of another player's alignment" is not something i'd ever think of to put into a game. (well, until now, hehe.)

as i said, for your first game, this was an excellent show on how to pocket and tonally fool townies. i genuinely hope you stick around.
