Actually I'm going to write a little more than that because there's something really bothering me about 214/215.

214 lacks conviction. At first, I read Naerys as someone who is just kind of paranoid and making a readslist a little too early into the game, but actually the post seems weirdly calculated to suspect, or at least have harbor fears about, a lot more than three people in a game where we've already talked about how there's probably three scum.

Naerys mentions:

Bazuf for low post count
Greeting for low post count
StD for low effort posting
Hu Tao for low effort posting

as well as tangential comments like "confused gut feelings" for iavh or "feels weird" about me for a post that she admittedly misinterpreted.

When we break down her main suspicions, it looks to me like Naerys is basically scumreading any sort of low effort or low activity posting, which is why I'm confused as to why Naerys left Hu Tao and RN out of her scumpool in 215. They are more or less guilty of doing the same thing as Bazuf and Greeting. Is there enough of a distinction between low post count and low effort in posts for Naerys to say "there's at least one scum in Bazuf/Greeting" this early into the game? I'm not sure personally because both could be interpreted as lurking.

Also, I think it bothers me that Naerys thought that Civil's low-activity-policy plan was suspicious in 48 and that's basically exactly what she's doing with her vote right now? I don't think it's a slip, but it doesn't add up to me.

It looks to me like Bazuf and his lack of posts are being used as easy pushes given the early slant of the game against inactivity.

I agree which is why I haven't voted or pushed bazuf. I think with newer people especially people try to push them early, especially scum if they are town. But it's better to see how the situation plays out more than a few pages into the game

A bulletproof miller indicates to me there’s a vig in the game. From a setup standpoint, I’m not sure why else the Miller would be bulletproof. Looking at the archives, the only other game with a 1-shot bulletproof Miller did have a vig.

For Day 1 it's more important to gauge associations in my opinion. I have been extremely limited in my ability to play these last couple of days, and I am V/LA starting tonight: I'm not picking up any new games. This severe time restriction makes me an easy target for Scum, and being Bulletproof means Scum MUST either force my lim OR waste a NK.

How do you think Scum will react to this dilemma? If you are Town I URGE you to watch and see how players react to my claim. Scum has every reason imaginable to try shenanigans during the Day. Think of my claim as a radius around me: Scum that want me limmed will enter that radius—be vigilant. Naerys definitely pinged my gut as town a few times D1 and this claim sheds believable light on why she was more doubtful of there being a Vigilante in the setup and hence more believing of your claim. So I’m inclined to believe it for now. I’m not sure how much stock I put in breadcrumbs in general, especially when they only arise once pressure is high. There’s no reason to disregard the claim but I have to think about it some more. I’m not sure the claim alone moves her on my list very much.

As for Greeting, I honestly just think he’s a better player than to be playing like this as scum.

As far as I can tell Bob has no solving intent behind his posts. Very early on in the game Bob becomes a well this is how you should play mafia spokesperson giving advice but never commenting themselves on alignment in regards to slots that they are talking about or talking to. Then finally he starts pushing naerys after someone else starts pushing naerys which just feels like they're piling on. Bob then does this weird thing where he "reveals" what he was doing all along after the interaction.

I don't think Political Clout is mafia - I don't think most scum players in PC's position would decide to get back into the game by picking a fight with one of the most prominent voices in the game who has *also* claimed vig. Naerys was not getting voted out - I'm not sure I believe you ever thought that. Naerys never got to even E-2. Other players agreed to sort outside Naerys because of the claim before you made these posts.

In actuality, it's pretty beneficial to scum to know where the JK is targeting. JK can be a fairly negative utility role to town, but the best thing it can do is block the scum factional kill. You advocating for a pool of targets, or even yourself, feels like a ploy to make the JK functionally useless for town. If you actually believed Naerys was town, you wouldn't want this either, you'd want Naerys to have a chance to do something useful for town.

It also feels like not a townie mindset to volunteer yourself as a target when you are essentially broadcasting to scum that you don't have a role worth using tonight by saying that, thus making it easier for scum to make an effective kill.

I can understand this, which is why I don't scumread you for it. For me, at the time people were scumreading Naerys and at the time it felt like they could be the vote today in the flow of the game.

What really bothers me is this lack of paranoia and skepticism from certain players here: I can put you Hu Tao and Political Clout in this camp. I feel that if you're Town you absolutely shouldn't be so trusting and should be paranoid and questioning others, including me and my claim. To just be like "sure dude, I trust you" makes me feel like you're not exactly in the dark.

My actual PR is Town Lazy Novice Tracker. I wasn't able to use my PR Night 1 due to the Lazy modifier, and because we eliminated the second Scum Day 2 I was not able to use my ability at all thanks to the Novice modifier. I was told by the game mod that I can attempt to use my ability, but I won't be told if there's only one remaining Scum or not, but that I would get a "No Result" if only one Scum was left, and I did when I attempted to track IAVH Night 2.

The reason I claimed 1-S BP/M was to A) bait the NK and B) bait Scum to try and eliminate me during the Day.
