if someone mentioned cheese but it's not in that person's role PM, that person has potential to have learned about cheese privately from another player

The roll sounds like it's either meant to catch a specific group of people or it's a mixed utility
So there's probably some cheese taster's club or something, but rolecops probably work better in the hands of mafia than not

I disagree, yes some people probably mentioned it as a response to it being mentioned in-thread but I think a good chunk of people’s first mentions were unsolicited. And it isn’t a scenario where mentioning the solving idea ruins the ability to do so.
