It's Day 1. I'm trying to sort things out. This game is like falling down a rabbit hole, it's so nuts. As soon as I think I've got someone sorted, somebody else comes in and changes everything.

For now, I'm trying to figure out who's Scum between Wgeurts and Ranger, and between Jeanne and LQ. Also I keep forgetting that Brantz and Pistachion are in the game until I see their names in my notes.

I still think the threadlock vote thing was scummy.

That's pretty much all I have right now.

Deal.

One thing - I want everyone's reads on Brantz and Pistachion.

Why are you pushing dichotomies?

If you thought the threadlock thing was scummy, where is the anger? You are fully capable of being pissed with me, ranting at me. You have a certain amount of fire. Where is it?

Why do you feel the way you do?

Why aren't you asking questions that could highlight alignment?

Which vote did you not like and why?

The vote on LQ in . Why is LQ going to give you the most information out of all your scumreads? I didn't like it because you were jumping as the wagon got larger.

For multiple reasons. Info wise, Titus would be the next on the list of flips we would like to see, though she is town lean while we have been scum reading LQ all game. LQ was at the center of the Titus gambit. Knowing the alignment of LQ and/or Titus would help us see deeper into the other players interactions with them.

Powers are for the weak. I have no powers. I mean, unless you count the power to blow minds with my weapons-grade philosophical insights. I'm a thought-ocoster. I'm a conundrummer in a band called Life Puzzler. Hell, I've flipped more lids than a monkey in a soup kitchen of the mind. Does that make me a hero?

We disagree. Hoods alone are not alignment indicative. Larger hoods would only have larger chance of having a scum due to more dicerolls. Though this would also apply to any randomly selected group of players. The bigger the randomly selected group, the more likely that there's at least 1 scum in the group.

The anger's in the local sewage system. I'm getting over a nasty stomach flu. The fire's in my spine with an arthritis flareup. I don't have the energy to rant.

I am asking the right questions. They're working for me. I'm getting used to being on this side of the looking glass, things will begin to gel for me soon.

You didn't answer my question.

All true.

At least two of the three are incredibly likely to be true, though. I seriously like a {Titus, Jeanne, Elbirn, Suzune} townbloc. I personally added in FireKari because I hold a
hard
townread on them. I hate the attempts to break the townbloc up, and I think they are driven by scum's fear that they can't break it.

I'm convinced LQ is scum. I do owe explanation for this, but none of his posting is good. He lacks actual scumhunting; he's just throwing random accusations out there that he doesn't even believe in.

The only one I really see any reason to doubt is my read on you. You could just be bad town not realizing how horrendously wrong you are, I will admit that, but you're not off my radar.

Blackest Magic wrote:Titus - Don't like the gambit, just looks like an attempt to earn some townreads.
For the record: Titus's brilliant usage of both neighborhood and messenger role with a coded message attached to it is
exactly
the type of play common from town players on the site I come from. (There's a reason I was filled with great ire when I realized I had replaced into a Messenger role that had already been outed in my recently-completed micro.) There was literally no more town way to have used that ability.

Titus - Early on, didn't like her accusing LQ of rolefishing, or saying that my RVS was the worst she's ever seen.
Ranger - Really didn't like his post saying i'm confirmed scum. Especially on D1. People who do that to me are usually scum. Would love to wagon this.
Explicitly-OMGUS reads.

Brantz - He will remain in my lynch pool unless he does something townie.
This is
incredibly
likely to be a scum distancing tactic. BRantz is rapidly moving back into my lynch list. (Both because of this and thinking wgeurts may just really be that bad.)

Reasonably Rational wrote:Firekari: Under what circumstances would you be unable to conftown D2?
I canNOT believe that a town player would ask this question.

If a player claims they can confirm themselves as town, the appropriate course of action is to have them name a day, and once they do,
immediately drop the subject
.
There's a difference between holding them accountable and giving the scum unnecessary information.

Marking someone after two posts, with something she admits is at best bad, isn't pro-town play.
I never said it was bad. I said my suspicion was weak. But given the way my mark works, there was absolutely nothing bad about marking a weak scumread.

I actually don't believe there's a single person so far today who has given me cause to think they're town.
And I don't believe you hold such a backwards view of the game. There are ten town in a game and only three mafia. If you're throwing dirt at everyone and townreading almost nobody, you are quite literally entirely backwards of what you
should
be.

Through page 28 I don't like Jeanne at all. The case Titus has made on her is very similar to my thoughts. Plus every time I have been in a game with Jeanne when she is scum, she threw a fit any time someone suspected her. This looks very similar to that Jeanne. Plus there is AtE oozing from all of her rage posts. Though, her continued craziness makes me think maybe she is town. Null for now? I guess?

Titus seems very town, but I don't know why you she outed her gambit right after doing it. I feel like information could have been gained by leaving the gambit in the dark for a bit.

Ranger makes a really good point about BM in . I like how rationally ranger has approached the game so far, probably town.

In post 828, Jeanne11 wrote:It may be awful, but I will not be tricked again, get it?

Also, the proof I am town is that I wouldn't be voting LQ if I am scum.

This post is so bad. How does this possibly prove anything?

I was having null-scum feelings about wguerts, but I like his reads post a lot, and he is null-town for me now, plus his discussion with Jeanne/LQ has me leaning town there too.

I like by RR a lot.

I'm not convinced of the LQ scum thought process, but he certainly has some off posts. Titus, where did you think he was rolefishing again? (Oh never mind, this is covered in )

BM seems likely to be scum, post is just awful, and an easy way to try to look like they are doing something while adding absolutely nothing to the game.

Also, I have been going back and forth with myself on whether to talk about it, and have decided that I should. I should not be alive at lylo for the good of the town. My role is particularly volatile there, and so if we are indecisive at the end of a day we should lynch me.

And I refuse to believe you hold this opinion when I've made it clear that where I come from, RVS content is important.

Sort-of? The later into the day I use the mark, the less utility there is behind me having marked a player.

Fuck off with your "I refuse to believe" bullshit. Neither of us care one bit about your ego stroking "I'm amazing and can have perfect reads 100% of the time based upon posts which are by definition random, and I told you that I come from a site where RVS content miraculously wins the game for town 100% of the time" bullshit. Self-meta is worthless, and sorry but your reads are so bad it's actually funny. I literally am laughing at how bad your reads and play is so far today.
