From what I've read, RadiantCowbells often aggressively cases others. I've only seen a game where she was cult leader, though.
In post 36, lovelygiant wrote:And trying to stop the "I'm civ and will vengekill you" tag line isn't selling your case.
I've only played in one completed Newbie game but two people did this in that game and they were both Town. One was mislynched, and was the doctor. This isn't a scumtell.

lovelygiant, I feel like you're trusting RadiantCowbells too easily. No hesitation, you're just following along with her. I agree that Radiant is the least likely scum candidate in Group One, but your following her feels like buddying. Also,
It does to me, if I'm certain they're scum. lol
Town wouldn't be this confident this early in the game about the identity of the scum.

Okay, so you're somewhat experienced, which makes it unlikely that you're noobTown. That means you're either really cocky, sheepy Town in early Day One (a rather unlikely combination) or scum.

you left out the possibility of me being right, conveniently. although I am cocky.
I can't help feeling cocky when it seems like I'm right. And I can't be sheeping when I stated my own reasoning for suspecting Chen, instead of just copying RC. I even made an effort to test RC's innocence with the hammer switch (if you bothered reading that) and was pleased with the results. so by PoE, I have to suspect Chen. I'm not left with much other choice.
Nah, I didn't leave that out. It is a possibility for the first option.
Um, not hammering isn't proof of innocence in this setup. And yes, I bothered reading that.
I might discount your slip-up about my post considering it's the second time you didn't read thoroughly, so I can't be sure that's alignment indicative. It might just be your overall playstyle. Something I recommend you work on nonetheless.
It is, read N1667.

it is noteworthy that your first post in the thread was used to discredit RC and I after we started voicing suspicion on Chen, yet you managed to not mention Chen at all, possibly to avoid being too forward in your defense.
RC, I know this is going to seem like more buddying, but I'd like your insight on this.
I wouldn't call it a complete defense, just something I wanted to point out. Don't want you guys making up your minds too early, do we? I read bits and pieces of Radiant's other games and that's something Radiant does as both alignments.
And it's alright, you can ask others for their thoughts without it being buddying. I'm going to reread now, and see what I can find in Group 1.

Ok so I read the first two pages and you guys are scumreading Chen for a bad RVS (which is a valid reason), not understanding the setup (see most of page one), and his playstyle so far. I can't understand how this scumread is so obvious.

...And then he looks like Town in his posts on page 3 or 4. Like seriously, the only actual scummy thing he's done was overreacted to being voted in RVS!
This is my username wrote:To explain further, if I think you're scum why should I care who you're suspecting?
I suppose if you want to play that way, you can. But that's a really shitty mindset to have, in my personal opinion. At least try to pretend you're scum hunting—you know, that thing I've been doing while half the players avoid this game like the plague.
I messed up, the first post was all I needed to explain my thoughts.
In post 176, RadiantCowbells wrote:This really doesn't feel like scumhunting.
What answers were you looking for, Reck? How could TIMU have responded such that you'd think that he's town or scum?
Like I really get the feeling that this is more trying to look busy and scumhunting than anything real.
Meta, so what? Like urgh.
What kind of questions do you believe "qualify" as scumhunting? I try to poke and prod wherever I can until I get solid reads, that's just how the game is played. I find it hilarious you think my actual questioning/consistent thoughtful points on the game are "trying to look busy" but have said nothing about Ranger's empty reads with no scumhunting behind them (like, objectively).
In post 176, RadiantCowbells wrote:Reck, go back and explain where your read on me was through this game.
First, you get to explain why you're giving Ranger a free pass with the copious amounts of shitty shit he's producing.
This feels like frustrated Town. Scum would focus on defending themselves rather than attacking Ranger.
In post 186, Chenoan wrote:Referencing you own meta as a defense is self-metaing in my opinion.
You're wrong.
It wasn't being used as a defense of the meta itself -- someone asked "why are you doing X" and I was going "because I had this bad experience in another game" and pointed to what happened in the other game for reference.
In post 192, RadiantCowbells wrote:What's so flimsy and scummy about Ranger's trajectory?
Like if you're town you're getting fucking nowhere with being an obtuse ass about it.
I've literally made posts about why I find Ranger's reasoning and posting iffy. Empty reads list, no reasons, fill in the "reasons" later, never explain the "why" behind any of it -- it reeks of arriving at your conclusion before actually having any real reasons for thinking that way, and that fits with scum wanting to control the narrative rather than town wanting to figure out the narrative ??? I've been pretty explicit about my reads, I'm so sorry if you're not reading the fucking game
And that's the point? Stripping game context from your positions is something scum do alot to avoid making errors due to cogdis.
oh you mean pretty much exactly what Ranger is doing? Maybe like, not going into depth on reads or explaining the why behind stuff in order to avoid having to commit to anything? you mean like just being like "this act is scummy or townie" without explaining why it's scummie or townie? like literally removing GAME CONTEXT FROM YOUR POSITIONS is what Ranger has been doing and you're calling ME out for it??? get fucking real
Like screw you not being scum. Why should I believe that you're town? If I was in this group, why should I vote with you?
Enough of the fucking macho posturing.
Because I'm the one in this pod who has actually gone into depth on my thoughts. I'm not scared to take flak for "changing my mind" when I see things that make me think differently, I'm engaging with all aspects of the game instead of just the ones that fit my safe little narrative, and I'm the one who has the most detailed thoughts and explanations on people's motivations and why my reads are what they are. I don't just stop at "but this is scummy", I explain why it's scummy, I dig into the motivations and behavior behind it instead of couching my shitty reads in fucking cute little buzzwords and calling it a day
This entire post reads like frustrated Town to me. Reckoner is pretty clearly genuine in his read on Ranger and this post just feels so realistic.

lol
RadiantCowbells is pretty clearly Town, Reckoner looks like frustrated Town, Chenoan's RVS was really bad and he could be the scum in your group but everything else he's said is fine, Ranger is scum in Group 2 by PoE, and you're buddying with RadiantCowbells's reads and don't feel like Town at all.
In post 18, lovelygiant wrote:And right before you set up the dichotomy, you thank Radiant for enlightening you. How can you claim to be enlightened about the setup and then immediately avoid applying what you've learned to instead make Radiant look suspicious?
I hope I'm not tunneling too early but that doesn't look good.
Also: I have a tendency to post in spurts back-to-back-to-back. Expect that a lot.
In post 149, lovelygiant wrote:I should also explain that my "flooding the thread" has a lot to do with playing mafia entirely off of an iPhone 4, which makes multi-quote posts extremely tedious and difficult. So I'm forced to respond to one quote at a time. I apologize of this looks spammy but I don't have much else choice.
In post 229, Chenoan wrote:LG's ISO might take a bit since they have literally 1/3 of the posts in the game.
I've explained that it's because I'm a mobile user and multi-quoting on this POS phone has always been a hassle for me. But, like every game, you'll find people twisting it into an argument against me.
You sure bro? RC might stop townreading you again.
Also, I'm not saying your post count is scummy. Saying you deliberately pointing out the activity tracker because supposedly seeing how the activity in the threads is divided can help people's reads is scummy.
You essentially, at least how I'm reading it, claimed that more posts = more town. And then you proceeded to post a lot of filler.
Keep going, though. It's making my decision easier.
The last line in this post feels kind of weird but I agree with the points it makes.
I'm honestly not gonna have time to finish those isos this week because a friend is visiting from out of town. But I'm pretty convinced you're the scum now.
"in comparison"
but okay, I'm not even a shred nervous. If you were playing this game even remotely wisely, you'd be wanting RC mislynched so they would be forced to pick a vengekill between us. My choice will be easy.
I thought just a few pages ago you thought the optimal play was for scum!Chen to lynch you. Interesting you flip that opinion as soon as you're under pressure.
In post 260, Chenoan wrote:NOW who's threatening to vengekill if they get lynched? God I didn't even threaten a specific person.
Though for the record, if we lynch two town and you kill me, it's game over.
But tbh, I'm pretty sure you just slipped hard.
RadiantCowbells wrote:Ranger fucking do something or we're going to lynch you.
I've already done everything I can. I've told you what I think. I think Chenoan is the scum in your group. Nothing Chenoan, you, or lovelygiant have said has changed that. I think Reck is the scum in my group. Nothing Reck or TIMU have said has changed that. I also think the relationship holds for them. Nothing they've posted has changed that. So go ahead. Lynch me. I've already explained why I don't care: because if you mislynch lovelygiant, which you are seemingly eager for, and I get mislynched, I'm going to instantly be submitting the Reck vengekill. Lovelygiant fortunately sees things much the same way I do, so he wouldn't even object. Not that it'd matter if he did, since I'd force it through his opinion regardless. Frankly I'm just waiting for the hammering votes. As far as I'm concerned, there's nothing
to
discuss.
This post is scummy, Town would be trying to find other ways to help.
In post 263, lovelygiant wrote:It isn't a threat by page 11, Chen. It's a realistic outcome.

This thread is really slowing down, and I don't see how we can get any more discussion out of Group Two, but I don't know if it's a good idea to hammer yet >.<
