So in reading what happened over the weekend my choice of who to lynch gun to my head hasn’t changed – I’d chose EP. That said the activity here has reinforced my feeling that this is being over-thought and the remaining Things are EP and UT.
EP’s “Hey this is my case on Spiffeh and I don’t think UT is scum” song and dance doesn’t sell me at all. Spiffeh as scum would not have effectively strong-armed the Andy lynch the way he did. There were plenty of other viable Town mislynchs to be had (Spyrex and Fire) that he could have supported. Furthermore if he thinks UT is Town the fact that Spiffeh has held off what could be an easy mislynch on hypo-Town UT (Maria was strongly on board – unless you think both Maria and Spiffeh are scum then that’s open for a hammer from whatever scum is left) doesn’t connect for me as Town processing of the game-state. Finally the color enhances series of posts starting at 6628 pretty much can be summed up as “I needed to find what I see as the easiest lynch in Spiffeh / Maria / MoI” which lands on Spiffeh who already has been voted by UT and Maria has expressed concern with the page before.
Finally this –
This is so divorced from reality that I’m troubled that no-one pointed out this fact.In post 6629, Errantparabola wrote:More about the two castes of people in this game-- the three people that ended yesterday townreading each other, and the remainder. The general theme from all three of those people is that THEY ARE WRONG ON EXACTLY ONE PERSON. DOES THIS MAKE ANY LOGICAL SENSE? NO. It makes absolutely no sense that someone would believe that it is most likely that scum is in either me OR UT, but they are not confident that it is me AND UT, and they are not confident (this case being Magna most specifically) that is is NEITHER me NOR UT.
UT’s play likewise is not Town. The amount of Cognitive Dissonance coming from his slot today and lack of game-solving is pretty evident. Let’s examine the following quotes –
I have yet to see any reasons why UT actually thinks Spiffeh is scum. But he’s willing to dangle a vote which if UT is Town could be lead to a quicklynch unless Spiffeh is scum. Which contradicts his concern shown here –In post 6590, Untrod Tripod wrote:much like my vote helps to take your victory from you, regardless of your alignment
UT has not shown any worry about him potentially dropping two separate votes on Spiffeh. Only worry that he’s the recipient of a “bad vote”.In post 6626, Untrod Tripod wrote:I didn't say that. My point was that it only takes one wrong vote.
And we have this gem –
Um whut? This is UT’s belaboring Spiffeh for exactly what he as himself done today – whined about how his lynch loses the game.In post 6615, Untrod Tripod wrote:now would be a good time to try to talk me into moving my vote to EP though
instead of just whining about how town you are
UT keeps offering EP as a potential scum candidate but those words ring hollow given his votes have fallen easily on Spiffeh and never on EP (who I have said multiple times is my lynch preference for today).
