I tend not to spontaneously say anything about my predecessor when I replace in.
Sometimes I use their reads to give me ideas of where to start looking, but that's not a consistent thing.

I'm beginning to think LQ is scum who blathered in thread making noise all game, and has been "attacking" Ari a lot (8544) - until OkaPoka swung momentum onto Ari, and then he started going on about how Ari towntold (8558), and panicked even more when you voted him. He expressed suspicion before on Hoctac and Pisskop and now he thinks Nero is scum, too; after Nero made that big solve post which was being received positively. Seems like a classic flail.

tl;dr the combination of {Nero posting a solve, momentum swinging to Ari, an active slot replacing FL and pushing a dying game forward} caused panic.

Not having a group scum flip is making this game incredibly hard.
I'm not fully convinced on any of my town reads.

maxwell is very much a case of believe the claim=>town, don't believe =>scum.
Unfortunately FL is one of the people where you can't fully believe the claim, and if scum then maxwell has notes to follow.
The role totally fits with the theme, and a role that can choose its fate is both helped by swing and potentially counters it.

I can't be completely onboard with pisskop being mech cleared because there would be no indication if scum were targeted.
There is a subtle but very real difference between infected being no threat, and being less of a threat than group scum.
In fact it's entirely possible that infected are actually a bigger threat. Being wrong doesn't make him scum unless
he knew of the difference and was being wrong on purpose. More likely town than not, but would vote in later game if
we make it that far.

Auro is in the 2nd tier specifically because he's very skilled at scum making town looking arguments for valid looking reasons.
I don't have any specific reason to suspect him.

don't have a solid handle on Aristophanes. I am aware that this makes it look like I could be teamed
with him, but I have to stand my ground here. I honestly can't remember what he has done, and that is a significant
problem.

LQ is in the scum candidate list precisely because he has been all over the place. I see some strong indications of trying
to find someone to match his reads to in a buddying sort of way, and he's keeping all options open. I notice a lot of scum
ask other people for their reads repeatedly in order to set up equal or different reads according to the situation.
I also feel a lack of conviction, which is a bit out of place in such a huge ISO and is frankly contradictory to a surface
reading. I'm unsure if this is merely a style thing or if I'm onto something.

I might have OkaPoka placed wrong, TBH. Another slot that I can't say has struck me as having consistent or strong reads.
I want to continue my approach this game of writing the big reads wall completely from memory aside from initially making
the player list. Kinda the same as Aristophanes in terms of not being able to remember exactly what he stands for.

and why it is especially suspect when claimed by flavor?
and how flavor furthermore handled it in a relatively poor fashion overall?

Yes, I understand perfectly well that he claimed in an inconsistent fashion, in part because he was infected during day 4 so it benefitted him to lie about the details of his role. I also get that the little banner under his name makes people afraid of him. I'm no mind reader but that likely helped contribute to him being burned out on mafia. I can point to a recent game I happened to spectate as a reference for his play: micro 939. In that game, he claimed vt early in day 1, then softclaimed cop, then claimed 1-shot vig, then finally on LYLO re-claimed VT. He was a VT that game, and ended up being quicklynched on LYLO for scum to win the game. I can't see it as anything but terrible play, but it's likely he was growing bored with mafia and was fucking around/attempting unconventional strategies to liven things up, and it cost him the game. He likely saw this game headed down the same route and that caused him to grow frustrated. I can relate, I just came back from a hiatus of several years because of a string of bad games that burned me out. I can't really make any excuses for what seems like overall piss poor play because I'm not him, but I'd appreciate it if you'd give me a chance to evaluate the game honestly and play it my way so I can show that I'm town.

None of that is actually AI. FL could do that as either alignment.

This un-culting mechanic really does muddle what is and isn't "playing to win."

In any case, I'm actually inclined to believe Maxwell is currently infected, and that FL was telling the truth about the infection check/one-shot cure thing claimed yesterDay. Simply because that makes more sense with the flavor claim, which I believe to be true.

Finding an infected target and then testing a cure? That sounds like a med student. Willingly staying infected? Not gonna get much studying done that way.
