@Krazy, I think assuming Eddie was avoiding your question is kind of a reach. The thing is Eddie, I’ve seen Krazy make these kind of illogical leaps as town too, so I don’t agree it’s scum indicative just that your wagon is obviously bad, based on this.

I don't think the questioning itself has to be scummy. Though Ank and Tom have read all this and have him as their top scum now. The 1 hour thing, the posturing, etc is all bad to me though. Especially since Pops is calling him scummy, naked voted him, yet he votes with pops on me with no questions, after his last post about me has me leaning town. Seems like unnatural progression, especially without a qualifier voting that it is out of frustration or policy rather than scumminess.

Nancy, he was being pedantic and cagey for no clear reason. I voted him to get him to be more direct, I wasn't really expecting a full blown wagon. That being said, I began the conversation talking to him thinking he was town but basically every response he gave made me reevaluate that. I didn't even particularly want to vote him but he refuses to ever be direct apparently unless he's under pressure.

I kinda think the idea that tom and ank both gave fresh reads list today since that convo is kinda unlikely. How did they go from both down for (redacted) reasons to giving full tiered lists within half a day?

I also am starting to think I can just bop ank + duck because at this point those lists look kinda fake to me. That is not at all what I would expect from Ank in an 82 page game

Well I just did by accident because I asked Nancy's question in my discord and that's how Tom's answered

They didn't really write cases. Cases aren't really how actual reads work. I think the shortform answer is laziness. Ank's points against krazy, past just the many times i've said "is krazy still scum" "yes", was like a long thing citing like 10 different games i didn't play in. I do not want to spend an hour or two finding random games based on shortform acronyms (such as "sobs2" or something), paraphrasing very specific phrasing analayzing, and etc. Its a lot of work and its not fun work.

I need links to Krazy scumgames where he played like this. I’m not taking you or your team’s word on Krazy’s alignment. Then I can figure out (hopefully) whether or not it’s scum indicative. I still think TvT, until proven otherwise.

I just gave you every game Ank mentioned, Nancy. If you look at all 5, and disagree, vote Pops instead. They might both be scum, they definitely aren't both town.

I began today thinking he was town and planning to solve with him and his team and he has gone out of his way to intentionally misrepresent as many of points as possible, goad me into conflicts that he seems to think he can win, and selectively adjust when and what he says his team is saying to fit his agenda.

I can see where you're coming from, Nancy. Last night I was thinking he was town because I thought for a moment that he had conviction when he started doing capslock posts and stuff like that. But now his capslock posts just don't really make sense to me because this just really doesn't feel like a situation where duck has strong feelings.

Like let's say it's mostly been him talking to Ank. Of course Ank wants to kill me after AvP. That would be fine and I could kinda see it for a while. While she wouldn't really be consciously thinking I was scum, she'd be talking about me a lot and would prioritize getting me right. Sure.

So I was kinda from the position that Ank had just fucked with his reads a bit but that he really thought I was scum. But the more I talk to him the more obvious it is that he's just looking for reasons to smear or discredit me, and twice I've had to have real conversations with him both about his approach to his team and about other slots and both times he turns it into a conflict that it doesn't need to be. He wants to pick a fight with me, not solve me. If he thinks he can simply get townread by fighting me, then that is a scum political agenda even if he doesn't think he can get me lynched right now. I don't really see why you see him having conviction in *sorting* me rather than conviction in defending himself

Why is Amrun scum?

Amrun is willing to lynch basically anybody. I can't remember a time she's come to this thread and said anything in the vein of "X seems like the hot wagon right now, but Y has higher probability to flip scum and serves my wincon and we should move to it".

I've seen players like Titus have that attitude as town and that's probably the kind of Titus we have here, but my interpretation of her timings and justifications leans towards this being the scummy wine-in-front interest in wagons that well slide into hammer quickly and get the first mislynch before this game gets re-paradigmed to have some scum in the consensus scumreads.

Just something about this feels forced. Feels more like your trying to float ideas to see if there are any takers for them. Rather than you actually genuinely pushing a read. More feels you trying to feel for the more effective counter wagon to yourself.

I see your pushing how armum said he was ok for nacl lynch. Yet armum never actual even voted him to 4 votes. He could have but he didn't. Also missing the fact that we all know there are 3 mafia in this game. Thus that there are 3 players that can be scum. Therefore, a person can be happy to lynch from a list of 3 scum reads.

You also imply that armum is just going to whichever wagon is going. Yet you fail to mention that he wasn't on hectic second time round. Why do you think he did not rejoin the hectic wagon as it regrew?


You vote for armun after the nacl thing but you don't actually pressure and question. You don't try and narrow down his reads. Try to determine other than pine who he is scum reading. As he could very easily be town scum reading nacl and pine. But have a preference for pine.

Why were you taking a break from this game?

Because I'd lost my cool and started to question a number of my reads. Hectic turning out Towny and the missteps surrounding nearly lynching him got me way off-balance. Eddie suggested I take a break from the game and I thought it was a good idea. I'm fresh and ready to catch up with a clear head.

My team has been keeping up to various degrees. Kuribo in particular wrote a page and a half, but I skimmed over it because I don't want it to influence me too much until I read myself. Then I'll try to summarize kuribo, mastina, and xtoxm's thoughts.

The only ones who have suggested that are Pops, most significantly and to a much lesser extent now, NaCi. I think if you know the teammates who are making the reads, you can totally tell if they’re real or fake and very probably get a pretty good idea if the teammates are advocating for a town or scum agenda.

That’s one of the reasons I hard townread you because I’m extremely familiar with your teammates and I know exactly how they think and it was blatantly obvious to me that those reads were coming from a town mindset. Whether or not I agree with them or not, the jury’s still out on that.

You are playing like a fucking moron if you do not tell your team your role pm. They are your team. They are there to help, coach, advise, whatever. That's the whole point of TEAM mafia, this isn't like MU champs where you play individually. Not telling them your team limits their ability to help you. The advantage is, what, they can give you "genuine townie reads"? In exchange for not getting their support about kill decisions, PR reads, thread decisions, directions to push, and still getting advice about who to push. And whatever else you ask. I think looking back this is what made me pause on Pine for a little bit, but looking at it now it seems kinda meh. I'm sure Pine is capable of some level of nuance but for the most part I haven't really felt like he's been genuinely trying to solve me. The other thing is that I have seen Pine have very good town games and very bad towngames but usually as town he swings more one way or the other. His reads here being sort of banal and his presence underwhelming matches a lot more how he usually feels as scum. I don't think his readrate on me is particularly good (he was wrong on me for most of Jingle's weird graveyard game thing) so I don't want to over-prioritize his read on me in particular but he's just said a lot of things at this point that feel forced or off one way or the other. I've tried to resolve some of my townreads arguing for him town and I'm not really seeing it

Because I'd lost my cool and started to question a number of my reads. Hectic turning out Towny and the missteps surrounding nearly lynching him got me way off-balance. Eddie suggested I take a break from the game and I thought it was a good idea. I'm fresh and ready to catch up with a clear head.

I think Krazy is surprisingly scummy for how little he has been wagoned. He keeps disappearing and reappearing. I'm not very confident about reading him and haven't myself been pushing him because when I played town with him he was super bleh day 1 and obvtowned day 3. But I think that slot is really creepy. Ed asked me to think about the universe where Eddie is IC and I think in that universe it seems even weirder that Krazy is just always there.
DDL is like Krazy lite and has felt really off. Starting off sheeping me seemed like it could be both !hims but more like scum!him and nothing's really gotten super better. Similar to Krazy I trust him to be readable later. But he hasn't been great. I've taken note of how DDL hasn't really gotten teased for having a derpy contribution level to the game the way Elsa has when my gut likes Elsa more so far.
I really don't know whether Pine is scum, I lean town and I don't know if it's pocketing. I kind of don't hate the wagon in the sense that I think it has information and NaCl wagon does not, I don't know what silly person suggested wagoning Elsa, but that also definitely does not.
NaCl is like the definition of a boring wagon I've kind of gone into it about how I feel about that player.

Thr benefit is if you know the parties involved and I for example, am well-acquainted with Eddie’s team - I can tell by what he says about their reads, the mindset their coming from and whether or not, their reads are believable to be coming from a townie mindset - as in helping town!Eddie solve the game or not. I believe those reads are legit and I don’t believe he didn’t reveal his role to them. Not saying it’s impossible for him to play that way, since he’s experienced enough to make it believable but I doubt it. I really don’t understand why anyone doesn’t think their team could be helpful to them as scum, if they knew their teammate was scum.

I don't like these reasons for scumreading her. Her argument wasn't based on that, it was based on Eddie caring more about being right over playing optimally, which she thought was a scum-indicative thing.

My solve had an outside chance of Pine/SS so maybe? I could possibly see an argument for scum distancing but Skitter was it? seemed convinced he’s town but I trust Amrun the most reads-wise and if she’s changing her mind on bob, I’m going to trust her on that.

Eddie v pops is because they share a hood, eddie is trolling, and pops is admittedly acting funny.

Krazy is town because they feel and contribuite like it. I have no meta on Krazy, but like their play. Their early game was weak, but the stuff from before he voted eddie is gold.

Pissy's progression on Pops is interesting. Starts of voting her early but then switches to Eddie and then NaCl soon after while still throwing shade on Pops. Also says Eddie is trolling and Pops is admittedly acting funny while on Eddie and not Pops. I could see this as scum early bussing then trying to save their buddy late on. The vote at the end was when the Pops lynch was decided I think.
Though the NaCl vote is weird. He says Pops might be town and votes NaCl which is kind of an odd counterwagon choice since Eddie was the main viable wagon there.
