But no just use it in ways you think are "funny"

If you think that a hood is TvS (+1 dead slot obv), then it's still worth lynching the scum in that hood. Worst case, you leave one scum alive and they can't use their LMS power in a way that's blatantly obvious, because then they just out themselves as scum. It's not smart to ignore scumreads just because you don't want scum to potentially have LMS, because there's enough info out there about the neighborhoods that it will be laughably easy to catch them. This setup is really simple at its core.

I think you should channel Eddie more often

You are aware that DEB and I are completely different people who would respond differently to being made voteless

In a twelve year body of work on this site, what in my history, knowing all you've ever known about my personality would ever cause you to think I'd "just drop it."

I don't think I've ever just dropped anything.

I spent six years waiting to be town against GreyICE-scum so that I could repay him for mislynching me

That survivor wagon was well-deserved.

Imma paraphrase DGB: That survivor wagon was a lynch on scum. It just happens they didn't FLIP scum.

You can do both!
The power / hood / mechanics stuff is double edged. Do it too much in this game and you'll get a witch hunt that wipes out an all town hood and all it's abilities with it. Do it right and combine it with the behavior / voting patterns and it can reveal the manipulations we almost have to assume are going on at some level.
Correct. Hence my assertion that we can do both.

MariaR's statement came in response to our discussion on DEB's LMS. There's no reason we can't call DEB scummy and also look at what will happen with the hood's LMS ability.

I agree on this

We can't be afraid to lynch scum just because we could be wrong and be giving scum an LMS ability

Like that could literally go for every single game ever if you're afraid to lynch scum.

We gotta lynch all of the scum anyway.

You of all people should know that scum can flip out too

Yah no shit, and what I'm telling you is I can tell the difference. Possibly better than anyone else.

My entire play style for years was based on driving people into an emotional response and then judging their reactions. It's just that it turns out it's not sustainable because it's hard to get the murdercock soft again and it's emotionally draining on me.

My Neighborhood has the ability to role block the group ability of another Neighborhood. We vote on a player, and then that player's Neighborhood is blocked. We picked Davesaz both nights, though tbh I'm not really sure the deeper motivations because I replace in more or less as night ended.

At this time I will not be revealing who the other members of my Neighborhood are, since I think our ability is good if Neighborhoods start whittling away and town-oriented group PRs flip over to scum. I don't want them to be potential targets.
Please roleblock us in the future because our thing is straight up anti town

That's two people from your group who have made that request

So you've got:

A50 who said "let's not use this" or at least not here
Chenn who voted to use it
Ank who voted to use it

The latter two then say the ability is scummy and should be roleblocked.

But neither of them abstained from using it as far as I can tell: one because I'm voteless, and two because they would have called out whoever cast the non-abstaining vote

Like you're damn right we're roleblocking that shit because it's anti town and we don't have a better use for it. But my point is
we shouldn't have to.
If it's antitown enough for you to ask to be roleblocked, it's antitown enough for y'all to just
not use.[/]

There's a serious disconnect somewhere in that group regarding a town mindset. And I can't tell if it comes from scum or just from people wanting to compulsively masturbate when they get a slight amount of power.

If it's Maria I would not be surprised since she pretty much always scumreads me for stupid reasons. It's so NAI for her that I stopped paying attention to it.
If someone in that hood is scum with the other person in my hood then there you go. A perfectly reasonable looking action given her bias against me, that's probably among the most anti-town actions the game has.

That's hilarious because it actually was maria

Vex and I were both scumreading you day 1 so we said fuck it, we'll vote Dave

Pant replaced in during N2, and the general consensus was that he hadn't read the game so we figured repeating the N1 action was as good as anything having not seen any negative outcome. And with Maria and I both scum reading you anyway.

She asked me and Vex about five or so players, neither of us were quite caught up yet.

She said she wanted to block Dave or DV. The three of us all felt that not blocking anyone wasn't the best option. I said I wasn't down with blocking DV, but I'd be happy to block Dave. Vex said that was fine because he wanted to block within Dave/DV/nom and he'd vote with us. He then produced a picture of his handwritten notes with his gorgeous penmanship.

It's not blame. It's just sanely questioning that the target just so happened to be in an invest hood. Anyone with 2 braincells would look at this and say "odd". I don't know.

That only works as not-coincidence if you think DV or Dave is scum with Maria, and you don't seem to think that either. Anyone with two braincells would look at that and say "odd."

I don't think A50 is scum. I'm hard townreading that slot. A50 has been forthright from the getgo with us.

I'd say if there's scum there, and I strongly feel there is because there are townier ways to use those group votes to smoke out scum, it's either Chenn or Ank. Maybe both, but we'll never know since they decided to play games with their anti town ability.

The problem I'm having with reading both those slots is they're both on my fucklist right now and my annoyance clouds my judgement.

Like

A lot actually

Like all the time in every game I've ever played

And since I'm voteless and there's no pressure on me to lynch scum today, it's not like I can do shit about it anyway so I'm engaging where I can while I figure stuff out.

1. Just massclaim, scum probably know most of the setup already and the fact that town has grouped PRs and not individual PRs makes the increased amount of information we get worth the risk. If we had massclaimed before now, our investigative hood would probably have results right now instead of having gotten blocked twice in a row.
2. He'd like to emphasize that this is
team
mafia, and we are not ranked as individuals but
teams
. More than half the games have scumflips now, and the gamestate in general is not optimistic for getting things done. He wants town players to get their team's help and to make this game a priority, but he will also be requesting the help of specific people as well.

@Flavor Leaf
: He wants Jingle and SS' thoughts, but he cares about all three of your teammates' opinions on the game.
@Davesaz
: He wants to ask if Reundo has been keeping caught up since he's dead in his own game, as well as FF's.
@Panthaleon
: He wants to know what Oka is writing in your PT/Discord, he's pretty certain Oka is staying caught up.
@Gammagooey
: Give Hito a hug for him please
@Kuribo
: He wants to ask for Pine's opinions on the game since he's dead in his own. He's interested in Mastina's too.
@Firebringer
: He would like NSG to have more of an impact in the game, even if only to make your slot easy to read

He didn't directly ask me to say this, but the overwhelming stance of my team is that this game is really boring and there's very little to work with, so he understands why there's been less effort put into trying to solve this game. However, this game is
NOT
going to get better if we don't try to brute force it into becoming better. I'm sorry, but we need people to suck it up enough to help push this game forward so that it becomes more easy to work with in later days.

By the way, let Eddie know I haven't forgotten this. I'm also not holding my breath. Mastina hasn't been around hardly at all since her death in that game, and Pine let me know that sadly he's tied up doing stuff for the Scummies ceremony, so neither of them have been reading my gamez

Which reminds me, Xtoxm and I promised to read each others games and help out, and I should really get on that.

I feel that, though Xtoxm came through with some reads I'm about to share.

My problem is typical of me as town in that I have too many scum reads. I can't focus and I feel isolated out here and doubly so in Team Mafia.

DV/DEB/Ank/FB. Dealer's choice. The latter two are annoyance lynches, but if the idea is that there's scum in Dave/Ank/chenn, I don't think it's Chenn. FB just annoys me and is in a bad slot, I probably wouldn't vote that right now because i don't scumread it as much tbh. DV's responses to the wagon against him have been bad and the same applies to DEB. I don't want DEB in endgame. I've explained to DV why I've cooled on him, and I haven't liked his responses.

I'm still waiting for someone to explain to me why nom is scum. But since I have no vote, no one will bother.

Xtoxm says he also doesn't understand the scum read on nom. A50, EP, FL, he townreads all three. He likes the way dave handled the claim but says there's not much else to townread him for. (Agreed) He got a slight townread from one of Ank's posts, enough to put ank in the middle of the pack.

Xtoxm's scumreads are DEB, DV, Maria, FB. He didn't elaborate much, other than FB deathtunneling as town isn't unheard of but that he should be strung up if he doesn't back off from it.

Xtoxm also said that only three scum in the setup would be weird in a game this size, but not to discount that the Survivor can be balanced as a sort of traitor since it could presumably joint with scum.

He concludes by stating that he supports the complete mass claim and finishing it.

In post 4303, DeasVail wrote:What were my responses to the wagon against me? I wasn’t even aware that there was a wagon.

That's fair, wagon is way too strong a word for what's essentially a voteless man pushing back against a guy who has a baseless read on him.

Now let me tell you something you might not know since you haven't played with me in so long:

Do you know one of my super secret scum hunting methods? Sit close because I very rarely reveal this one:

I wait for them to accuse me. Oh, you might say that's OMGUS, but Lemme tell you, I've caught dozens of scum for using the same soft-accusation techniques you're using. I've strung up entire teams because they tried to throw subtle shade on me. It's then that I step back, I pay closer attention. I watch every movement, watch for the slightest manipulation. Things I wouldn't notice if they hadn't tried to call me out.

It's the mislynches, you see. I haven't been mislynched in EIGHT YEARS. Scum teams just can't help trying to make a name for themselves. Make the game fun because they know I'm hard to lynch. GreyICE and curiouskarmadog are the only people in my twelve years here to get me lynched as town. Scum don't like to NK me if they can help it because y'all know I tend to derail games by arguing with idiots. My fury leaves towns decimated with the scorch and ruin of the other town players that cross me. And as long as that anger stays directed at town, y'all keep me alive.

But you can't do that forever, you need to line up an endgame, don't you? So you have to throw shade here and there, say things like "oh it's fake rage" or "oh my team thinks he's scum." Maybe by endgame someone will be sick of me and vote with you, and you won't have to NK me. Maybe you can save it for some PR with a good claim.

But that's not going to happen. You're not going to get me mislynched. NOBODY fucking gets me mislynched. Eight years since scum has successfully pushed wagon on me. There will be no glory for you or your scumteam this day, DV.

This is a pattern I've seen more times than I can count in my years on this site. I wanted you to be town! I offered you brotherhood and you slapped it away to try and taste the impossible. For that, DV, I will gladly hang your head on my mantle of fallen scum.

This is lovely and all but I’m town.

Is everyone who ends up expressing suspicion of you scum?
Of course not. Do you have any more of my statements you'd like to try and misrepresent? That's at least twice now that I've had to call you out on that.

It isn't voting me that makes me think someone is scum. It's voting me that brings my attention to them. Sometimes the attention turns up nothing. Sometimes it's a that first bit of firewood on the bonfire. If that added attention is a threat to you, then sorry but that's the breaks.

And yeah my read on someone can change over three game days. It'd be a bit weird for me if they didn't. I don't feel like this is breaking news.

the rest of the playerlist in some order?

Real quick because shits fucked at my house. And my cat is missing. So fuck this earth and everyone in it.

Deas is in his proper place

Nom is town, I've been clear and unflinching on this and no one has managed to convince me otherwise

Flavor leaf is probably town, I don't think I've stuttered there either

I'm town because the mafia gods were not kind enough to bless me otherwise

DEB is higher on the good enough to murder list.

Replace Flavor's name or my own with Firebringer. I've warmed up a bit from "wouldn't miss him if he died" to "might still be scum but I'd miss him because he entertains me." If he's scum I'd like to kill him last.

Take Dave off the top list, I get town leanings from him since the reveal. Not much else to town read before that.

Town reading A50

Ank can go back to good enough to murder, I didn't like him throwing shade in our last exchange

I like your posting, you can be town

Maria and panth also likely town. If there's scum in my group, I'd guess maria because I can't read her for shit. Vex and panth both very genuine to me. I don't think there's scum with us though.

i asked multiple times over the last three days asking someone, anyone, to sum up why nom was scum, and i got nothing from nobody. this is the closest anyone has come to explaining why she's been the leading wagon for days.

my townread is partially gut and a big part judging her temper tantrum on day one, as well as her attitude the last couple of days since. I don't think she's scum, I think she's town whose back is against a wall and who's tired and demoralized from pushing the same boulder endlessly. I think she's watched scummier players slip out of the noose while people keep trying to fit one for her instead.

you can poo-poo gut reads if you like, it's more a matter of playstyle to me, and my gut says she's town. My ability to read the emotions of others makes her waaaaay town.

Like I'd rather lynch a scum read regardless because then you're not trading a town for that scum

Don't get me wrong I do love high risk high reward gameplay, and if it were me who were vengeful, I'd be begging you people to put me out of my misery so I could yeet someone into the shadow realm

But after going back she had said herself that those types of arguments aren't alignment indicative of her, and she has been dodging putting any effort into actually scumhunting for literal days now and again it's really hard to see how you all are staring past it when it seems very likely to me that her lack of effort has stopped being an issue for scum and started to be part of the intended result given that she now has literally been handed a vengekill by scum when a missed shot by nom doesn't even prevent them from having to lynch an additional town player.

He's saying that nom got the venge kill because of FB being removed from the group. Meaning it's possible that scum figured nom is going up today, having dodged the noose already a few times, and that it was best to make sure they get something out of it first, ie, shooting town.

Ive been on this site since 2007 and those are literally the only two games where I've been lynched as town.

Only twice.

Tell me again how lynchable I am as town.

i asked multiple times over the last three days asking someone, anyone, to sum up why nom was scum, and i got nothing from nobody. this is the closest anyone has come to explaining why she's been the leading wagon for days.

my townread is partially gut and a big part judging her temper tantrum on day one, as well as her attitude the last couple of days since.

Yah obviously I haven't had any opinion whatsoever on nom nope not even talking about that

And even if you don't think it's a particularly strong defense-- for that matter, do you even fucking know me? I only defend the strongest of town reads in any way. By my standards, it's pretty fucking notable that I'll stick my neck out and call a slot a hard townread.

But even if you don't think it's strong, how much more would you prefer I fight against it when nom herself didn't even seem interested in pushing back? When people who claimed to townread her were calling for her head? When nom fucking thanked me BY SHADING ME to the point I literally told her she was on her own from then on?

Like good lord do you understand how slimy your play has been? Do you understand we're having this conversation because you've BLATANTLY misrepresented SEVERAL DAYS of my play? Which of my reads do you disagree with?

For starters I'm town, so that's a real hard disagree right there

DEB is scum as Fuck, another hard disagree with you

A50 is my second maybe third highest townread, so you're wrong there

I think you're wrong about Gamma being scummy

Like my reads have been extremely clear this game, even more clear than usual, so for you to even act like you don't know my stances on anything at this point is real real sketch

Panthaleon went full tilt on lynching nomnomnom because he thinks she's scum, and fuck the consequences.
Almost50 has had other town posts today. I find his attitude very annoying, but I don't think they're scum thoughts.
Firebringer is just town based on other factors I'd have to dig into my team PT for.
nomnomnom is town.

davesaz and Flavor Leaf are town from posts today, although if I'm wrong on reads, I'm wrong on one of these two over the rest I think.

The two that really stand out today about the nomnomnom push are EspressoPatronum and kuribo, and for the exact same reason: they are both very ambivalent about it and hesitant to take a stance on it either way.

EspressoPatronum's content just also happened to be bad as well.

maybe it's because I've had the playerlist endlessly telling me since day one that "I'm off this game", "my content is scummy for NAI reasons" and whatever else the fuck has been going on

people either just skim my posts or find whatever potshot angle they can every time I post so that I am constantly thrown off and unable to get a proper foothold in the game

and I've obvtowns so many times this game and it literally doesn't matter because town either doesn't care or has no idea how to read me

I'm seeing so many lose conditions being hit and I'm powerless to stop them because I have no traction anywhere despite all my attempts to try to

I'm frankly over this game and this embarrassment of a town

so in other words, people are scumreading you for your playstyle?

that's a reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal flimsy excuse when you're using my own playstyle to justify a "scumread" on me

If you were town you'd be scumhunting instead of trying to "solve" the game all at once. But you're trying to point out "AHA I can't be scum with X or Y, so that makes me town!"

When like... X and Y can still be scum too, it just serves to distance yourself when you flip scum.

this kind of ate. Should get you a warning btw. Trying to fuck with someone by saying "IF YOU DO X AGAIN I WILL NEVER PLAY WITH YOU"

1) Not the appropriate setting for this. We can talk about it post game or in pms after.
2) You are crossing lines of AtE that is abusive and has impacted games too much imo.

It's not a Fucking attempt to change your opinion because I could give a shit about your opinion

All I ask is that people not piss me off by accusing me of fake rage. I NEVER FUCKING FAKE RAGE.

It's in my fucking wiki asking people to refrain from that dogshit because it legit 100% pisses me off. This is WELL KNOWN around the site, and I'm not gonna fucking play in the future with people who try to trigger me into getting myself banned.

Like you don't fucking understand dude, this isn't even Kuribo talking to Firebringer, this is Teddy talking to whatever the fuck your name is. You think for two seconds I like getting mad at people on this site? That I like getting warned or banned from a site I've been in for twelve God damn years? That I fucking like hearing things about how I'm just some toxic dickhead? Who the fuck would like any of that? Why the fuck do you think I don't play anymore? I got sick and Fucking tired of people (and I can name names) trying to provoke me. People who fucking know better.

And this isn't some attempt to manipulate anyone, this is me talking to you on a personal level: it's Fucking exhausting. My life right now is Fucking exhausting dude. But even more than that, mafia has been exhausting to me for about five years now. I don't enjoy this anymore. I haven't enjoyed playing in a very long time.

So you wanna pretend you think it's manipulation, what the fuck ever dude. Because at the end of the day all I want outta this is to keep my head down and not get banned so I can actually keep participating on this site and not get myself cyberbobbed.

Do you realize that me and Radiant Cowbells once got so hostile toward one another that we agreed never to speak again? Did cow ever tell you that?

We don't like each other as people and it's real fucking funny considering we agree with one another on so many issues, but it all boiled down to both of us being dicks to one another in a scum PT.

And hey I'll be the first to admit I was an asshole there, and I probably instigated it.

But it's Fucking exhausting to have to count my enemies. Vote however the fuck you want dude. IDGAF. I'd rather watch you mislynch me than make an enemy of someone I mostly respected outside of mafia games.

Go to anger management.

Other people are not the cause of your anger. You are the cause of your own anger. Stop putting the blame on other people and pretending you are a victim.

Theres been multiple times you point out I baited you for anger. Which is actually true because I wanted to see what I got. I saw fake exaggerated anger.

Because when I see someone mad and raging at me and at same time pointing out that they know I am baiting them. I go "well a person who is able to recognize I am baiting them should not actually get this angry. Because when you are angry your judgement is clouded and you aren't able to see things logically". When I have gotten a bit annoyed I have been able to defuse my own anger by noticing "ohh this person is trying to get this reaction." then I calmed down and not let them have the satisfaction.

So when I see you go the other way it tells me. "This person is trying to convince me this is real or he is CHOOSING to be angry".

So which is it home boi?

btw this isn't a bait post. I am not trying to get an anger response. I want an actual answer.

Knowing you're baiting me pisses me off even more, I don't think you're making the point you're making.

Nevermind the fact that before he checked out of TM, Pine specifically reminded me that I was vulnerable to baiting.

Like you do understand right that you can be mad at someone for baiting you

Or how I don't even try to guess why someone does something, I look at how their actions harm the town. Or maybe I could tell you how people's interactions with me is how I get my reads. I could go on and on how it's a really fuckin draining way to play, or how being town makes me want to quit as soon as I open my role PM because god knows herding idiot cats on this site is as fun as having my nuts whipped with a car antenna. I could tell you how instead of assuming I'm faking being pissed off, you ask yourself if I'm just grouchy because of my personal life or because I don't have a handle on the gamestate, or because I'm just sick and fucking tired of arguing with people in general.

But no, you don't actually care about any of that and so there's no point in you asking. And btw it was really REALLY shitty of you to throw me out as "blaming others for being pissed off," when you admitted your intent was to piss me off. VOTE: Kuribo

This is the optimal lynch today.

It is very important that we lynch the scum within the roleblocking hood first, because then we run the lowest risk of the Vigilante shot getting roleblocked if we hit a situation where we are afforded one in this game.
If we do get a vig shot, it is
always
on nomnomnom first. Otherwise, we lynch her after flipping the other scum slots.

Davesaz, if by some miracle is town, will have enough information to give us something in future days with his ability. Otherwise, the second lynch upon a kuribo scumflip is Flavor Leaf, specifically because he will be the most difficult of the remaining three to lynch and I don't expect it will be easy to scrape together enough votes before people get fed up with the bullshit he'll inevitably spew in the thread when he gets wagoned.

Assuming that both Kuribo and Flavor Leaf flip scum, then the game is just a lock and davesaz/nomnomnom should just be obvious lynches. If that doesn't end the game, then the last scum is probably Gammagooey or DEB, but I expect that this solve is exactly correct.

Let's finally get this game going so that we can avoid having an embarrassing perfect scum win in the large, please. Vote kuribo.

Unless you're unfamiliar with the concept of linear time, pointing out that you recently changed your tactic isn't a cromulent point

You see, some events happen after others.

This is inevitably part of the fact that we can not go backward through time.

I'M REFERRING TO WHEN YOU ORIGINALLY POSTED YOUR "READS"

not your little one page ago bullcrap about shooting her or lynching her later, you absolutely did not state that when you suddenly "decided" she was scum.

Now, your big red X might apply if all events happened simultaneously outside the aforementioned linear time, but let's be real that would make Valentine's Day REAL confusing

Night two I said "we might as well just do Dave again since we all scum read him and nobody claimed any ill happenings as a result of our blocking him."

Day 3 he claims investigative and A50 claims vote stealer which you confirm.

So the idea is that Dave and I are scum together, Dave steers the investigative hood to chenn both nights knowing we're going to be roleblocking him, despite Maria initially suggesting it, and despite knowing Dave needs other votes to help him steer it to townchenn. And despite me needing votes from Maria and/or Vex/panth to successfully block him. And that on day 3 Dave somehow--- for no reason whatsoever-- outs the investigative group, forcing the roleblock group to claim publicly?

If you can't see Ank's theory for the 9-11 steel beams bullshit that it is, then I don't know what to tell you.

I don't need to "solve" the game all at once, I just want one scum. Then we move on to the next one. And we repeat until all scum are wormfood.

The obsession with "solves" on this site makes the game unfun and stifles actual scum hunting.

But that's more of an MD post

Also, this is scum posturing. Could be indicative of townDEB, but not entirely sure

Counterpoint, I think panth like myself has a hard time seeing DEB as anything but scum's designated lurkaderp. Any question about DEB's alignment has been answered with "he always plays this way," which is hilarious coming from people who call me scum without acknowledging I always play this way as well.

The difference is that panth seems to have an open mind about Ank's "read" on DEB, whereas I know it's just gonna be more deflection.

A better question would be to name one town thing DEB has done. Cause I got nothin.

Like you talk all this good shit about me being scum and you wouldn't know my scum game if you got my role PM apparently.

You dismiss my counterpoints as "nitpicking" but it's not like you've placed some great case against me. Why the fuck do you think no one is helping you mislynch me? You've been calling me scum for DAYS, and not a single accusation has stuck because it's all bullshit speculation and dumb assumptions about a playstyle you don't like.

You act all indignant like I should be townreading you, but your behavior has been sketch, how the fuck do you think it looks when you've obviously decided I'm in your mislynch pool and you just oscillate back and forth between my townreads? Cause from here it sure as HELL looks like you're lining up those mislynches dude.

And you know what, fuck your accusations of nitpicking, I'll be the first to Fucking admit I ain't the best at countering accusations with logic or clear retorts, because that ain't never been my game. But what I do have is righteous indigfuckingnation, so when I see the latest in a long line of scum trying to get a win on me, I damn sure don't make it easy.

So yah, you can say all you want some shit about "lol Kuribo nitpicking" or "lol Kuribo emotion" or "lol Kuribo only days shit like I don't get mislynched," but you know how I know you're scum? You apparently not FUCKING ONCE have tried to even consider reading any of my town games, and there are a LOT, otherwise you'd Fucking know that none of this is my scum game. Yah I taunt scum about not being able to mislynch me. Been doing it for years. Go look it up. Yah, I scream at people and maybe even make nonsensical counterpoints. Been doing it for years. Go look it up. Yah I been emotional, so emotional that I completely shut down or even ragequit. Been doing it for years. Go look it up.

The fact that you tried to push wagon on me while treating me like I'm any other dickhead on this site is just plain insulting and shows me you sure as shit ain't town. Otherwise you'd have Fucking bothered to try and read me instead of just pretending like you think you know what I should be doing.

I know you ain't going to read or take this post to heart, because you're scum, and as sure as you're a coward, you're gonna try and dismiss this or brush it aside because that's what scum does. But I don't give a fuck, I want YOU to know I'm on to you. You can't act as if my scumread to you is somehow unjustified, and that's the part that's most insulting of all. There's no god damn WAY that town makes the posts you've made with the lazy, halfass, dimestore read you've made on me without even a second of consideration for how I've been approaching mafia for over a decade.
