skitter didn't tell the mod right away about her V/LA in Mini 2113 as town, but did so in Newbie 1951 as scum and did so in Silent Star 3 as scum. I'm sure further citations will dilute this pattern but even with a weak pattern, it feels significant when this is a game where she's in a hydra and she knows it matters less. It's also somewhat less town-hydra-y to opt for shouting that out to the mod right away versus consulting with Menalque to ascertain how necessary it is or isn't, since as town it's a shared responsibility to solve the game and as scum the posting pattern is more of a visible lifestyle or that's a bad metaphor I was trying to think of a better one.

This response has really bad "I'm scum but that's not why" vibes. The segmenting between "you're wrong" and "you're scum", from these being separate posts, is really troubling. As town the notions would be unified, as scum they'd be separated into steps. I don't actually have an elegant explanation why, I'm just remembering my own town and scum thought processes when I deal with getting pushed. Deciding to push back is a something to be chosen instead of felt.

If it's any consolation, I wanted to vote them in my earlier catchup post. Couldn't shake the feeling that it was maybe a bad idea to vote without having read the later half of the game though.

I read my own posts and I kind of agree, but IMO getting a town delta during the time between his vote and his unvote would be more suspicious than getting a town delta on the time between the unvote and deeming me town.

I expect to think "oh that post is pretty towny" for Datisi more than most players. I've only played with him one time that I wasn't scum and he was super super towny. I tend to like to grade people on a curve, because some people have a kind of townie baseline or scummy baseline.

I didn't really agree with townreading a bunch of his early play, you must be thinking of other players who have said that. I remember mentally noting that the towncase on dragon looks pretty much like how Datisi develops an early townread on dragon or pretends to do so, rathe indistinguishably (dragon is Iconeum)

I play all my games like this. The extent to which I acknowledge it varies. I would think everyone plays their games this way although maybe other people wait for an actual scumgame and do this storytelling paranoid "but for this person, what if this is like that time they seemed townie but for scum?" (my approach is a bit more flawed if it were applied to someone I have not seen actually roll scum, but I have been scum -with- Datisi once and felt like he made good posts)

Did you literally click Activity Overview and decide "that number is bad!"? I'm super mixed up between wanting to scumread you for copping out to a metric that shouldn't be matching your feelings but also resonating about how notsci's content feels. I think her posting in the last few pages shows a very natural and logical though process (some examples are 617-624, 648, 652, 669, 672) that if it comes from scum, it's very well manufactured to look natural, but i genuinely feel like her posting has become more and more organic over time.

I also don't think the vanity vote on you is something that comes from scum when things have sort of stalled and and she could probably get away with staying on my wagon until end of day (which if she is scum would be her best chance of staying alive). It's just a weird move that doesn't make sense for scum!Isis to make in this situation.

It is maybe less cowardly to want to let this live today.
I think my Datisi vote is remarkably easy to characterize as a scumvote if you should like to.

I play all my games like this. The extent to which I acknowledge it varies. I would think everyone plays their games this way although maybe other people wait for an actual scumgame and do this storytelling paranoid "but for this person, what if this is like that time they seemed townie but for scum?" (my approach is a bit more flawed if it were applied to someone I have not seen actually roll scum, but I have been scum -with- Datisi once and felt like he made good posts)

but like, this seems like just a way Isis approaches games. I don't think it's an especially hard post for scum-her to make.

The way he's talking about himself and his thought processes and his meta while still trying to push the game forward e.g. by voting me. I also think I still feel good about schiavetto, and in looking through his posts i see he pointed out 401 from ben which is, actually really really bad. For reasons schiavetto pointed out and also because the last line screams "I want to call people on my wagon scum but that would look scummy". It seems like a line that I can envision scum typing out through a thought process like that.

ben should claim a hypothetical perceived visit for every slot in the game at the start of day 2, claiming truthfully for who he actually tracked and flipping a coin between reporting no-visit and his best guess at who he thinks other players would target for the flips that come up tails. Then when we massclaim on D4 or so or whatever we will find out whether or not he does not actually possess the arcane power that lets him see what other people do. The only mafia power to play around by killing him immediately is the 1-shot bus driver, and since that's not a 2 or 3 shot role there's no mechanical benefit to eliminating him on a day that's not right now or much much later.
This has an added benefit of publishing ben's townclears for his potential n2-3 nk death (scum have minimal means to generate nonlethal visits in this setup) without endangering roles that he viewed that might be more powerful than him.

I don't think I've ever gotten this far this ignorant about a setup ever. I don't think that's alignment indicative though I really liked tinkering with the mechanics in Apocalypse, I wrote an actual software program and lied about what the results were in Death List.

one thing I hate is that the rules for setup construction don't let you like, -feel- how likely each subsetup is, i can read these rules and then press the button and get 4 K's and you could be like "is that a remarkable result?" and I'd say "I don't fucking know, I've never never internalized 10%*(seven choose 4) before", if it's a setup drawing balls from urns or throwing dice or drawing cards to generate I can feel it because I do those things and they're shorthand.

I like those trivia facts, I learned about Monster Hunter when Monster Hunter World came out, and I was surprised that a franchise so big existed unknown on other places

Monster Hunter is one of the most frequent, if not the very most frequent, recurring collabs in Puzzles and Dragons. PAD has a co-op mode and the designs sort of "pun" that monster hunter is a co-op multiplayer game as well, and the antagonists in Monster Hunter are all dragons, so they fit in. When equipment was added to PAD that also fit. It's 4 or 5 recurrences by now, I lost count. I found out about monster hunter mostly due to the collab; heard about how it has extra popularity and actual multiplayer meetups in Japan.

I like using Brachydios a lot if you killed that.
