This is a super weird take? I've liked boxxy's posting a lot. I'm still trying to figure out nom though. I don't know if nom withholding the tell is inherently scummy but I'd really like to hear it if it's going to be justifying a scum read this early especially when it feels like cyrus town-slipped.

Let me give you a hypothetical example of what this could be:

Let's say I noticed you start your TOWN games with "Hello" but you start your Scum games with "Hi". Now if I use this tell in you without revealing it I always have an edge over you. However, if I do tell about it no one's going to take me seriously, AND you will be more careful next time because you now know what I'm looking for.

OK, this is a 100% TOWN claim. Detective determine3s if a player HAS killed (if the target is Mafia who has NOT killed they get a negative result). This reminds me of a game I played recently where I suggested the

Psychiatrist targets the same players twice, so if they get "Can Kill" on N1 and "Can't Kill" on N2 that's a GUILTY (Psychiatrist is the opposite of Detective), so I think Roaming was added here to prevent that sort of guilty (although it would still be more suitable used with a Psychiatrist). Ohm and that game had a BABYSITTER in it, which is why I suggested the check would be on the same person, because the babysitter would not appear to have killed until/unless they were dead themselves)

Like think about it too. From a setup perspective, in what situation do you decide to add a roaming modifier to a detective? Detective is already somewhat on the weaker side of role (I estimate it less useful than a tracker, taking into account the same scum makes all the same kills, which is likely in a setup where mafia isn't multitasking by default), why would you nerf it on top of that with a roaming modifier? Like now that the role is claimed you can see it has now become a role that is 90% useless unless you somehow hit the scum committing the nightkill. That is it. You are getting at most one guilty. How is that a role a moderator includes in a setup?
Normally I am wary of outguessing the mod situations but here it just strikes me as a claim that scums can easily make because it does not clear anything, and you can go the whole game without claiming a single guilty and still manage to explain how you will not die on every night by (correctly) saying your role is justifiably weak so it does not warrant a nightkill from the scums.

I guess the designer didn't foresee you making a bad push that results in outing the PR, so didn't take this into account.

I think it also makes a lot less sense to consider Kyouko was a NK because he represented a PR threat because boxxy claimed a very real PR that can get guilties. I think if scums killed with the intent of eliminating PR threats, then they would have killed town!boxxy. That's one of the reason why boxxy might be scum here and why I think it's still very likely.

I think we're approaching this from different angles. I can see yours, so allow me to explain mine:

Detective can catch scum who have already killed (including night of check). get one scum to do all kills and the other one is "investigative immune to Detective". Furthermore, ROAMING makes it impossible for Detective to catch the second scum if they had already checked them earlier.

Now Psychologist catches scum who have the ability to kill but has not yet. This means BOTH SCUM need to kill to eliminate the threat of Psychologist. Not knowing what modifiers the Psychologist has may have confused scum. This is part of why I now believe you are Town, because if you were Scum and you did believe I was Novice then you shoot boxxy 10 times out of 10, since he is the immediate threat and I am not on N1. Unless you also believe there to be a Doctor, but that doesn't explain why you didn't shoot me either.

Has we mis-lim'd yesterday then hunting for the Psychologist would have definitely made more sense. As it is though, I can neither fully accept nor fully reject your approach.

Ohm and that game had a BABYSITTER in it, which is why I suggested the check would be on the same person, because the babysitter would not appear to have killed until/unless they were dead themselves)

B. I didn't see "bad reaction to pressure" either. As I was TRing you already, and I was SRing your push targets I naturally thought you were doing some good work and agreed to your views and arguments in general. I pribably would have behaved the same if I was in your shoes.

ASLO (B) The claim came out naturally and felt genuine to me, and -as I said- I thought (and still do) Scum could not have faked that Role (and especially the Modifier). I don't even understand HEM's B2 because it is what it is. The Setup Designers decided to use that role, so what else could you have done?

Note: I also can see HEM's PoV now that I see he's likely Town. I mean, it was a wrong PoV but easily coming from a player who knows his own alignment and expected something that doesn't actually concur with this setup. Like, I've once been eliminated as a Simple FV by a Complex FV who thought the two could not have been included in the same setup, so he faked a guilty on me (actually faked having received Fruit from me) and Scum made the best of it to eliminate me on that day and eliminate him the next. Town players are usually stupid and tunneled (myself included)

C. Roleclaim: I disagree with the first part (still alive) because I can see Scum trying to eliminate someone they thought was more dangerous if they expected you to check the one that didn't do the kill. (In fact, it would probably have been my plan to keep you alive until you've cleared the scum that isn't doing the kills)

The second part I do agree with and have voiced that out at the time. I thought the check on Seanzie was a bad choice and I said I would have checked Nom myself.

My actual guilty was on SALSA, not Pooky. HOWEVER, I wanted to take a shot in the dark and reaction test Pooky (just in case). I am not 100% confident still, but I think his reaction is more Townie than not.

1- Scum already know how many TPRs are left alive. If 0 they know my claim is BS, and if 1 they found their final NK target.
