It might help to know that I have a significant amount of precedent for forgetting to submit rather important deadlines for games, both Mafia and not Mafia

In Hollow Knight the main reason I didn't submit my secret public message role the first two nights was because I literally forgot, even though I intended to write a message

In the most recent Survivor game I played, I forgot to vote at the Final 6 AND I forgot to submit for the challenge at Final 5, making people assume I didn't care about the game at all when that was very far from the truth
(I managed to win in the end in spite of this, in a very close vote)

i don't find their play sincere in that their overreactions to being voted read way more as scared mafia "pr" than scared town (vanilla or otherwise) to me so i assume they're some kind of scum one-shot who hasn't been able to use their ability and won't if they're lynched today because otherwise, i don't see anyone who is actually town caring so much to the point they're that thrown each time someone mentions them and doesn't follow it with a tr. i'm not buying it, i think it was gimil who called them "bleeding town" (may have been someone else, i can fact check, don't @ me) which to me reads as a much more sincere (but imo incorrect) read than anything elsa's outed all game.

I'm finding it hard to buy that Klick was tinfoiling/unconfident/exhausting all possibiltiies, whatever you like to call it, so hard as to err on the side of Enchant/Gimli possibly being the team (back when Sky was trying to stay alive). I don't really buy that.

- Also Klick fails to confirm role twice mistakenly which is a really strange coincidence although not in of itself damning

Gimli seems super unlikely considering Sky tries to pin the suspicion on Gimli/Enchant. and thats what Klick goes along with while gera ghosts the thread. Gera may be able to (truthfully) say he has never deviated from Kawaii/Klick at the bottom of his reads but he certainly wasnt there actively doing anything to show it

I dont understand why Sky pretends to target Gimli with a detective shot in the first place, if gimli has a role which can confirm this to be false (and Sky is a goon). i generally think of this as just a mistake, I myself have outted myself for smaller dumb slip ups. Maybe forgot Gimli's role. Sky's fake log had a couple mistakes like that, considering the target on the vig.

this is a brutal dunk on gera/klick

anyway. I thought it'd be very +town to wait on the replacement to catch up because I was already of the opinion that kawa was a town slot. looking at MT's posts I feel good not only about her alignment because they're towny looking posts, but because she helped put into perspective some gross things that happened ITG and should not be ignored, especially klick siding with sky last gameday, and sky's hammer + choosing the 1v1 against me instead of choosing the 1v1 against gera. this last point completely went over my head as it happened in real time.

I'd add that sky self hammering would probably not happen if town!klick was leaning towards voting me, since scum only needs one town being wrong in elo.

last gameday I did not think the situation was clear and obvious and that sky was 'flailing' at all. I thought ausuka and enchant and klick had to be able to solve that sky was lying, but I wasn't expecting that out of gera, especially since he didn't seem to comprehend the context of how her claim is bad and because she capped mena when he was the CW, which she would have no motivation to do as scum when he is town. so from gera's perspective this is particularly slippery. he had to be more doubtful of things than he showed, and the 'flailing more and more' part is an obvious exaggeration that feels like TMI.

klick's ISO looks fairly strong at least in the beginning, but I can see how in the game's key moments his reactions were not great, from STD's twilight to skygazer's hammer to his progression the next gameday.

I think the bolded 'unvote now' makes a lot of sense in a context where 1) klick and sky laid out a plan to win in that gameday, because from their perception of the game everyone was already scumreading the trio. sky's hammer nearly outed herself with gera, and menalque put WIFOM in scum's head by going 'klick will townside if he is scum'. from this particular scumteam's perspective, they needed to bond together and come out strong against one player. I think that player was me, and the idea was going to be fueling onto ausuka's paranoia, or pocketing kawaii. 2) gera is probably inactive both in this game and in scumchat, doesn't participate in decisions, doesn't know the roles and just plays along with what his buddies want. but he doesn't feel good about defending sky, and is seeing everybody calling klick scum for defending her, so he tries to take klick's position as the townsider and lategamer. 3) that upsets klick, because if gera townsides they lose the game. klick is still considering the possibility of kawa especifically coming to the gameday and scumsiding.

I think scum thought they were deeply cornered and had to bond together. once enchant and ausuka leaned strongly to going sky, and kawa wasn't around, the plan failed cause no townie to get it wrong, and gera bussed. I think both gera and sky's attitude to that gameday also make sense when klick is the scum with them.

I think gera's flip might open up the game better for us to determine who's scum between klick and MT, cause at least we'll know his role and can figure out which one out of 2x hider or compulsive visitor is the more likely scum. I agree with the thought that skygazer looked like she was freestyling the game and that might not happen when klick is working with her in the background. OTOH informed detective by itself was an extremely well crafted claim, which I'm sure it's in skygazer's range as scum to make them herself, but still at least proves that there was reasonable thought put into the things she did. which brings me back to klick, so you know it's tough.
