I'm saying I doubt this wagon will provide us with any information than it has already, if any. Frogger isn't gonna react since this wagon wasn't formed with any intent to lynch, also being the one to encourage its formation. FL voting him to L-1 really doesn't mean anything to me, nor do I think it would for anyone else. Keeping him at L-1 has more potential for harm than I see good.In post 45, CultOfAthena wrote:

An early L-1 is a great way to start the game off. It gets people talking, gets reactions going. Given that the L-1 was made explicitly clear, anyone who quickhammers would scumclaim. What's the downside? There's a fine line between genius and sociopathy.

K.
Sephiroth has latched onto some things, and in the absence of substance besides those things, I find scummy. The FL putting Fro99er at L-1, Fro99er asking for a claim, neither of which mean anything to me honestly. Besides those things and posts directed towards him, he's only made reads on those who are generally inactive, which is a pretty easy position to take. I can agree to an extent that he had his back up against a wall, and defensiveness isn't exclusively scummy, not in this case I feel, but with nothing else of substance I can't find any reason to townread him. He's burnt out, the wagon died, I maintain a SR but willing to look elsewhere in the meantime.
Last night I thought about pursuing Clusk, because all I remembered was some pretty passionate sheeping and pocketing vibes. Then Wrangle came in with some expansive reads and an attitude to interact. I'm still confused about all of these logical pushes that came from CoA (I honestly can't find one besides the one on me, and that makes me weary since Fro99er said the same thing, it might be some subconscious sheeping), but I can find agreement with CoA being so "out there". Already had a TR on Fro99er for his tone and his compassionate interaction in the game, though I wouldn't define his early game as scummy. I can't disagree with what he's about me and my lack of read fluidity. Still hesitant to give him a TR because of his predecessor, whom despite only having 4 posts really pinged me while I thought of him overnight, and there are things in his reads which I feel could easily be fabricated.
Still stand with what I said about CoA. Don't see her pushes, and the logic behind said pushes. Her 364 has made me weary of Stitch though.
I'll explore skitter and the meta-case a bit later. I usually just skip over meta cases of that depth, but if it's supposedly good I'll take a looksy. One thing that stood out is that in 274 he claims Sephiroth as her strongest TR for his play in general, but voted Sephiroth in RVS and parked until post 163. Not something I find particularly scummy, but I want to know why she kept her vote for so long if Sephiroth's play in general read as town. There's a fine line between genius and sociopathy.

Okay, but if you are scum and this is such an obvious and prominent tell, you're not going to continue to do it. Right? I don't know, a lot of people do this kind of self-aware meta thing. Seems perfectly reasonable to me. Not sure what else to say.In post 515, Sephiroth wrote:To me the fact that he stresses he can't research past games when he had actually just been in a game with me feels contrived and something that town wouldnt say there. I think saying that this is my first game in five years is a lie that he wouldn't need to tell if he didn't feel the need to add fluff to his read.
So how are his reads from another game related to this game?In post 513, Sephiroth wrote:And yes. There's a fine line between genius and sociopathy.

I'm not harassing you. I just don't understand your perspective. In post 520, Sephiroth wrote:Okay so I guess I can't ask someone questions without someone harassing me about it. Back to not posting I guess.
I caught the dude in a lie and I'm not sure why you're defending it/preventing me from having a 1v1 with Mulch. You're entirely too invested in defending him and it seems like you're not interested in reading the game to compare the explosion so I dunno what to say. It seems like you're more interested in summarily dismissing any scum read on mulch then actually getting a read on him.
And I'm not defending Mulch; I'm voting him, but the points you have make no sense to me.There's a fine line between genius and sociopathy.

Honestly, that's just who I am and how I play regardless of alignment. I'm extremely self-conscious regardless of alignment. I won't always post what comes to mind because of what I can only call social anxiety. It's weird, that I play this game about communicating with others yet always feel nervous about sharing my thoughts. When I'm comfortable with a person or group of people, this isn't an issue, but the recent... emotion that has been conveyed through the thread isn't helping. I'm still relatively new to mafia (I think this is my 8th? game) and I am 16, and I know both of those characteristics tend to draw some unwanted attention. In post 634, Stitch wrote:I've thought about it for a while and realised the part that bothers me about Yoshi is that they're very cautious with their posting. They always seem to have an alternative reason for why their conclusion might be wrong.
"Are you fucking stupid? Blah blah blah"
Surprisingly, no one has really antagonized me for my age, but I feel like it goes through some of your minds when you interact with me, and it just comes out naturally because you're twice my age and I'm just an inferior teenager on his laptop sitting on his bed.
And some of you who have played with me may notice I tend to sheep often, and that's why. Not making an excuse if I tend to do it this game because I'm working on it, but... yeah.
Part of that paragraph came straight from another site where I played a mafia game (as scum albeit), one player here should recognize it. I used it because it really does epitomize what I want to explain. I don't feel like revealing the site though, so you'll just have to take my word and potentially the word of whoever played with me that game.
*takes deep breath*
Alright, rant over. There's a fine line between genius and sociopathy.

Already you're sounding like quite the opportunist. In post 649, Lalendra wrote:Okay, I'm back and caught up. Happy New year!
I don't like that stitch came back to a wagon and didn't even bother to comment. Seph, skitter and mulch all feel town to me based on limited meta and their reactions seeming genuine. Frogger also feels town, and transcend is too good for me to read right now. Null on everyone else so I'd say as of right now stitch is my biggest scum read.
Don't want to vote yet as I want to re-read and do an ISO first. There's a fine line between genius and sociopathy.

The chances of him rolling scum in this game are still the same as every other game. Having been scum in previous games doesn't decrease the odds of being scum in the next game.In post 650, UC Voyager wrote: i have a hard time believing boon rolled scum 4 times in a row in a mini normal. i know this is bad reasoning, but the odds are very low. i will still try to consider him scum because anything is possibleThere's a fine line between genius and sociopathy.
