I've got a couple reasons why I don't think it's a post restriction:
1. This game was advertised as Normal with one bastard element. Post restrictions aren't Normal, and I doubt that the single bastard element is that one slot has to post in verse.
2. Since our vote, they've made two posts with no verse whatsoever and one in which they started with verse and then spoke normally.

Some of their points aren't very strong, but I don't see scum intent in their push.

Intent is overrated as a scumhunting tool. Scum aren't wearing their intent on their sleeves. Often, the intent is something like, "get town lynched," and if you don't know if the person they're pushing is town, you have to look at other things than intent. Here, Baboon's pushing town (me). You're not sure on my alignment. So to properly read Baboon, you gotta look at other things than intent.

Which there are plenty of. There is something just as condemning as finding scum intent, and arguably more condemning -- finding a contrived thought process or lack of a thought process. And that's what I'm directing your attention to. Certainty is fine. But scum are faking their reads. So often, their certainty isn't natural. It doesn't reflect their reasoning or the gamestate. That's a scum-tell because it shows that the read is fake. Town can be certain. I'm not doubting that. What's different is how that certainty squares with their reasoning. What I'm pointing out is that Baboon lost their shit when I supposedly stole their idea. And they voted me right after that happened. And their degree of certainty -- extremely high -- was a result of that behavior. I'm calling this behavior a "shiny object" because it is. There isn't anything scummy about it. Does the behavior show that my thought process was contrived? No. Does it show that my behaviors are contrived? No. Does it have any pro-scum effect? No. Does it have any scum motivation? No. I could go down the list of ways to connect a behavior to scum. But it doesn't have any of them. It's a purely null behavior. But Baboon never considered much deeper than surface-level. Which shows that their thought process is contrived.

Which is all to say, who gives a fuck if you can't see their scum intent? That's irrelevant. You'll see it when you realize I'm town -- i.e. they're trying to lynch town. But what's more important is not whether you see their intent -- it's their thought process. Which I'm saying they DON'T have. If they did, they'd have considered whether stealing their idea was scummy. They'd have looked at what the effect of doing that was. They'd have looked at the context in which I supposedly did that. They'd have considered a whole bunch of things that they haven't.

The only response to any of this is, "Well, maybe they suck," which is possible. Except I thought they were very competent as scum, and that applies to both Mara and Ceph, and that usually means they're smart enough to evaluate all the things I'm talking about, when they're town. You also got Mara telling you, point-blank, in this game and in other games, that when she's town, she looks for scum intent behind surface-level behaviors. Which she did NOT do for my behavior.

Yes as I said I been using tone lately to read the hell out of you and I keep getting mixed feelings for your tones in this game. Your comment as my partner describes feels more like the game where you went after nacho/cabd in HB because nacho made a comment that pinged you early Day 1. That's exactly what you did to my partner here, but part of it threw me back because I don't think I have ever heard you use that. I read it. I got the messages why she did it on skype. Mala your tone is weird. I've gone back and read games and you still feel weird. I've contemplated that it's an aspect of the hydra as I think that can influence people at times. For instance in board games I had a hard time reading ffery because she sounded more arrogant at times than I associate with her. How your other head came to the conclusions she did is baffling and just demonstrates that she is not reading my posts.

Hounding me to name a suspect between them when I'd been upfront with my thoughts was ridiculous. I still don't know what she hoped to achieve and she refuses to answer what the purpose wAs. I don't so much need an answr but I was interested in the response. And then when people not me challenge her buddying accusation, she goes into hiding and refuses to address it. I e asked more than once why she ignored people challenging that accusation and she refuses to answer. (What I find adorable is that after pulling this attitude with me she has the gall to address me as she has today.)

I only started having a problem with your head when you talked about that conversation I had with you about nacho but left it so vague because I know I hadn't scum slipped or did anything remotely how I've caught nacho. It felt like using partial information to validate a scum read on me when I couldn't address it or defend against it. As I ran through who I'd had conversations with about that none of them made sense to come from town and to be sorting me and interacting with me the way that other head had. And no I'm not good at telling heads apart in hydras.

I do think if you're going to be a secret hydra you be a secret hydra. If people figure it out fine, but crumbing it to certain people and then basically taunting someone for not getting it. Trolling is one thing but enough is enough, it's a distraction and is pretty much becoming a distraction. If you can't see that if you want to be a secret hydra you should stay a secret hydra then I do t know what to say. I mean I have secret alts that some people know because they e figured it out.

But if you're town you're other head should back off or not actually I don't have any intention of interacting there again. The mods don't do that. The closest the mods have come is You know XYZ is in the game and they are town. To give another player 4 flavor names. It has never happened. I really think this is like AP's first game where apparently scum had a list of roles that all the players were. Can I prove that? Nope. Not yet. However, it works itself perfectly for a fake claim.

I was caught up with what was happening. I was town reading csearo and half scum reading AK. However now I'm townrrading them both.

The reason why our hydra started to scum readIKA was because I was getting paranoid. He was barely posting and I asked Titus if I was wrong about my initial read.

No. That is not my ika case. (As for Csareo, I don't give a shit if everyone is against me on a scumread. My scumreads are based on my own opinion. He is scum. I've also hounded and been right Bork.)

I'll outline my ika case.

First, ika discovers who I am through my phraseology unique to him. I made note of this because I was attempting to work with ika through various references trying to get him to help me lynch Csareo.
Second, he acts dumb not knowing who I am. That pissed me off because it meant ika was scum.
Third, he's fascinated with getting us to claim and tunnels me for refusing (despite the fact he already knows). Why would that be necessary if he had already caught me? Simple because he wants his buddies to know to lynch me. There's little no reason to suddenly "unknow" something if town in mafia.
Fourth, ika lurks a lot as scum. ika was concerned about being perceived as lurking here. AS town, he's never concerned about it. ika was active, never got defensive about his meta tells and was generally scumhunting. Here, he's just looking to 1 v 1 someone to check the box on his meta card. He may get his wish because town won't lynch his scumbuddy.

@ FT, I'm townreading Baboon because Mara's conviction feels genuine. Tammy's also played quite a few games with Mara and has her as town based on meta. She also liked Post 301 as something Mara is unlikely to post as scum. Post 311 is another reason I'm townreading Baboon. If they are scum, it makes little sense for them to limit their mislynch options within the neighborhood. Here are two games with scum-Mara for comparison. I played in the second one and Tammy played in both. From what I remember from the one I played in, she doesn't have the same conviction and certainty when she is making pushes as scum. Compare with NY 169 where she spent quite a bit of time pushing me when we were both town and it came across as very genuine. I also feel that Mara often hides her real reasons and gives up surface level reasoning so she doesn't truly give away how she reads people. Also, what about Honeybee's Post 308 resonated?

@ Baboon, 5-Off isn't newb scum. New to mafiascum maybe, but he's played plenty of mafia offsite and has a reasonably developed scumgame.

@ Cutty, I agree with your point on IHNC in Post 274 and I lean slight town on it. I think it was ika who posted it but I'm still wary of townreading a hydra with Beast for it. If he is scum, he can certainly drop fake towntells. In Mafia with the Quickness, Beast used his neighborhood as a hydra QT with Marquis and was scum then, so I wouldn't put it past him to drop a fake towntell.

(The whole role thing with Anatole/Baboon/Csareo doesn't really directly affect my read on him much.)

Csareo - Leaning slightly town. The claim is clearly not fake, it just doesn't guarantee he's town.

A) You recognize that Csareo isn't confirmed town.
B) You are scumreading me and I'm the only other player saying he's not confirmed town, making that message much harder to pass onto the group.

It also doesn't make sense how you can scumread me while I'm the biggest one making sure we don't townread a scum.

Yet, scum even if Csareo is town, wouldn't be engaging in such a nuanced analysis. If Csareo is scum, it kinda works but only if I'm radically wrong on the scumreads.

The best way I can describe Titus needing to be lynched is that they are Titus. I always scum read Titus no matter what but gosh darn if she isn't always scummy.
All of our posts have been 100% genuine and Ika is upset. I mean upset at what Titus is doing. Titus knows better and claims to know all about how Ika plays and yet she can't even grasp what we were trying to do? The depth of analysis throughout FT's posting without any hint of an alternative agenda screams town. Plus the scum motivation is readily apparent in forcing a mislynch between FT earlier. Even if we suppose there is scum in the hood (which is pretty likely given a hood of 4+), that does not mean ALL the scum are in the neighborhood. Scum like artificially narrowing hoods to players who are easily mislynched. Players who need more words to get their point across are easier to mislynch.

I've seen that more than a few times. Unfortunately, it's usually me being run up for my walls being too wordy/nobody read it and then no one gets me.
