My read on you is slight town read. It's mostly your response to my poke that is doing it. As far as it being weak, WTF do you expect on D1 at the beginning of the game? I have, indeed seen scum give long wordy posts and act as a teacher to newbies and get townread for it. I also remember the last game we played and how your reacted to my push on you there. You seem to get defensive and OMGUS scumread people who push you, especially if you think the reasons are weak. Since you did it as town there, and because that's a towntell of mine as well, I'm leaning town on you.

I really don't like Scorpious's readlist in 266. There are too many nulls or wishy washy stances. Although I completely disagree with BBT about reads lists not being a good thing as I kind of like them but that's a playstyle thing.

Scorpious is also spending too much time picking at KT for no good reason that I can see.

BBT, My issue with Sonic is quite simple. KT went after him. KT was tunnelling him. Sonic paid no attention. He didn't do the whole 1 v 1 you will lose setup.

I call Sonic out, stating that something's missing from his play. He townreads SW and refuses to ask any direct question to sort me. That's despite claiming a 100% read on me. The closest he comes to engaging me is that he doesn't get my crumbs. If my crumbs are present, I am not explaining them.

He keeps waffling on our slot, claiming SW head is town but I am scum. SW head is the one willing to vote elsewhere.

This is in response to? If it was my post, I was asking about your thoughts on the wagon, not on why you did what you did. Which is essentially in not so many words what reactions your reaction test has fished out (at that point I did not consciously view you as reaction testing, just . I'm interested in why you immediately wanted to explain your reaction test, especially with the last line that it is going to become useless as you keep explaining it.

I don't have a lot of time and have to get to work but the one thing that gives me personally pause about MS is the fact that he's willing to not rush trying to power lynch someone unless he's really sure they are scum and is willing to question his read on someone if he isn't sure. One thing that is super frustrating, is when shitty reasons are given out to accuses someone of being scum, no one questions it, the group/hive mindset follows along, there is no reason for it whatsoever, and scum sits back and laughs. It's how town loses and I've seen it far too often. Town is better constantly re-evaluating their reads, actually listening to others, and taking their time before deciding someone is scum. This makes scum's job harder. I know, that really good scum can do this too but it seems to me that if scum can get a mislynch, they'll show themselves to be scum. It's townie to actually try to read someone for real and I get the feeling MS is doing that with us.

OK, I want everyone to take a look at the first few pages here and see BBT going after Grib for a supposed scum slip about his flavor. Hint-BBT was scum, Grib was town.

Now, look at this 416, 421, 426

So as scum, BBT nitpicked at Grib about role PM flavor and made it out to be a scum slip. Now, he's picking at Scorpius and I believe he said something about Spiffeh having reads lists and made it sound scummy.

I do reads lists as both alignments. It isn't alignment indicative at all. What I look at is how genuine the reads are and if they follow a thought process I can understand. Scorpius's readslist was bad because he had too many nulls and not very good reasons for most people. But producing a readslist is absolutely protown. For one, it helps others read you. For another, it lets people know where you stand and gives us something to talk about. I have caught scum off of bad reads lists and seen obvious town from reads lists.

I think BBT is a good enough player to know that reads lists are not a bad thing to do and the fact that he's picking at that as a scummy thing to do reminds me of that scum game-nitpicking over trivialities to paint people as scum.

Plot is someone I've wanted to play with for awhile and if this slot is town, I want them around. But I haven't been able to read Plot for whatever reason and BBT is nitpicking. Also, the reason I am questioning Titus scumread on Sonic is because I agree with his reasons here 628 about Plot's 519. That post pinged me hard as well. But you see, this puts me in direct conflict with my hydra partner as she thinks Sonic is scum. I already put a post to her about this in hydra PT so we don't pollute the game by arguing it here.

One other reason I am in conflict is because of what I wrote here 752. I respect Titus's opinion or I wouldn't hydra with her so I don't know what to do about this.

I also have a few issues with Spiffeh.

His defense of KT due to his age seemed off. Why can't young people be scum? I am not currently scumreading KT but that seemed odd. In contrast to Scorpius's readslist which I really didn't like, I like Spiffeh's. That looked townish.

So I guess my three big problem people right now are BC, Spiffeh, and Scorpius. However, I feel the same way about Spiffeh that I do about BC. If he's town, I want him around. He's a good player and will be super helpful to town if he's town. I do not believe all three of these players are scum. I just think there is scum here somewhere.

But.........................our vote is on Sonic because Titus knows him and believes he's scum. I will say what I saw of Sonic Scum in Team Mafia was very active, very engaged, very much in everyone's face-super aggressive, super involved, buddying like crazy with Nacho, super long convoluted cases that didn't make sense but still sounded good, and longer posts than I've seen here.

BeardedCat I'm still scum reading but am a little less sure about. I really dislike how Plot's initial vote on Metal Sonic went down. Because Metal Sonic said BBT was ignoring the thread? When that isn't even exactly a false statement? I'll talk about it more later on in this post but I want to know your take on this.

I really don't think it's worth a full out scumread when BBT objected to being called to be voted for, for not being here. When someone takes an issue that is not alignment indicative for you, and scumreads you for it, it is reasonable to expect that person will think it's scummy because it's a misrep. It's dishonest. I have had that used against me in games before. I've been scumread and voted for as town, for my emotions, when they are not alignment indicative. People are too quick in this game to jump on any little thing and it's supremely frustrating to have to deal with being scumread for things that are not alignment indicative, but personality indicative. It's especially annoying because it involves RL issues and Plot was still here even if BBT wasn't. While there may be a few things I don't like about this slot, that isn't one of them. If anything, I'd be more likely to scumread MS for that than BC.

You also mentioned that you didn't like that I was voting for someone other than who I wanted to be lynched ultimately. And I don't even get why that's a problem. I voted for Aristophanes because you said he was active elsewhere on the site, figured he was still looking at the thread because of that, and voted for him so he'd see that he needed to actually contribute. I still voiced my support of the Scorpious wagon so it wouldn't lose traction (to no avail because KT and Dwlee swapped over to Aristophanes really quickly fsr). I'm not going to vote park on someone, even if I think they are the scummiest, if I think my vote will be of greater use or garner better reactions elsewhere.

I'm sorry but you are voting BC and pushing Scorpius as well. You also voted Ari and jumped on and off his wagon rather quickly just like you jumped on and off BC's rather easily as well. Take a look at that game. I pinned someone's (PatientZer0) early reads-list as scummy and questioned Mollie because she was town reading it. Mollie and myself got into a 'pointless back and forth' for quite some time. I

I find a small detail that nobody else noticed and I hone in on it until my read is finalised. My case on CotW has nothing to do with meta and everything to do with how they tried to approach me/lynch me. I also have very little faith in meta and I try to avoid using it at all costs but when I'm attacked with meta I have to defend with meta.

Starting in 539 I had a really bad feeling about this slot. Plot's posts helping Scorpius rang as someone trying to get towncred and as you can see by reading that whole interaction, Scorpius townread them after that. It is pointed out in future posts I'll be sharing.

In 781 I give my reasons for having issues with them. I also bring up 628 which is why I had a problem with Plot's 519. So this is all something that was bugging me for awhile about them.

Now, we come to what happened today. BBT took a comment in my 781 and called that out as a case we used to get him lynched and said it was bad and then responded to it. I commented a day or two later that I was too tired to do much-even though I did do stuff-and he said that means I am scum walking away from his response to my overall case. This if false on several grounds. Because that wasn't our case, it was an observation. I saw his response, had no further questions and moved on, he said we were scum running away which is just plain wrong.

He says we are being defensive and that's scummy which is a blatant contradiction to his comments about defensiveness not being scummy but what it does do is paint that picture in everyone's mind that we must be scum. There is no other answer to BBT because he didn't bother to question us, engage us, sort us, or do anything to try to read us. He just picked one thing and decided we were scum for it and he outright lied about what I was tired about. It had nothing to do with the game.

He selectively quoted me and then said he didn't do it and I showed where he did. He said my non-response to his issue was scum, even though as town he's responded exactly that way before.

Hell, let me just put all the posts together for you:

Town does what Sir Bastion did to try to figure out our motivations for our actions and even what Errant did when he tried to figure out my case on Spiffeh and Spiffeh's response. That's town.

Town doesn't take one little issue that was never an issue, twist it into a scum motivated case and start calling someone scum based on hypocrisy, word twisting, selective editing, and misrep. They don't take comments about a person being tired and decide it's scum running away. They don't ignore everything else that happened to harp on an issue that isn't an issue. It's really good scum play but not good enough to get past me.

I have said on numerous occasions that defensiveness is not scummy and I'll say that until the end of time. However, this is normally in direct response to somebody saying something along the lines of 'Defensiveness always equals scum' which is flat out untrue.

Scorp is a claimed VT and I have had a few issues with him this game. He's played and interacted with enough people that we should be able to get something out of this flip and it's safe claim wise. Running someone else up to a claim kind of doesn't sit well with me either at this point in the day phase.

Claiming VT sucks if you are town and kind of annoys me to be honest. Way to narrow down kill choices for scum and keep yourself alive at all costs. :/
