Mastina's anger about her role in the early game seemed relatively consistent with how she is as town killing roles. Also I don't think mastina lurks out as scum, I've seen her get really engaged. I think she's legitimately busy. I know if Mastina is town and she comes back she might actually be useful.

Randomidget hasn't posted anything since Saturday and his entire iso is basically empty of content so if we're lynching a lurk out null then I'd rather do that slot.

To be clear, this is a hydra, so the appeal of Randomidget is that it is a slot that is an overlapping scumread between me and Left Head. We only have two overlapping scum reads atm (Titus, Randomidget). Titus was pretty far outside her town meta but I think there was some real life stuff going on there, so the read there has some noise. Conversely, the read on Random as scum is one of my strongest reads in this game period.

Left Head was willing to sheep me on NSG being scum a few days ago but after Mastina's argument about Nancy I might need to do a deeper meta dive of how she plays town to shore up that scumread.

We do not have a preponderance of overlapping townreads. The current overlapping townreads are: Wheme, Sky, and jjh. We each have a few more outside of those.

It's inconvenient that both of our overlapping scumreads are being replaced, but actually scum-replaces outs are wildly common on this site so I don't really have a problem with pushing random up and getting mastina to gladiate or something. This isn't exactly LAL; random was more active lurking, which I tend to view as much scummier than just flaking out. I wasn't calling it a policy lynch, I'm just lynching the most obvious scum in the game, who in this case happens to be a lurker scum.

I'm down with a NSG lynch but the mastina mechanical garbage is making it really hard to care about this game

if we're doing a mastina gladiate at any point this day though I'd like to lynch mastina so that the game can continue without becoming absurd and boring, so if this is all just going to come down to "we put someone up, mastina gladiates" then I want it clear I'm voting mastina literally no matter who she is up against. With that in mind I honestly think she should just pick her target and not pretend she's going to crowdsource her final gladiate.

In theory, it could work.

In practice, it is killing the game.

If Mastina was willing to do her guilty after like 72 hours or something every time, then I wouldn't have minded blowing through day phases.

But spending *weeks* on dayphases that end on no lynching is so dull and uninformative it is extremely difficult to retain interest in the game.

She was being told to declare her guilty early on. She could have done so after everyone had checked in. There was no mindblowing cases being made. There was no proactive sorting. Everything was basically at a standstill, but she still just keeps dragging out the days because she's pretending that day *length* is somehow way more important than *momentum*

If I literally cannot remember who I'm scumreading anymore because I'm so disengaged from the game, that is *not good for my ability to solve the game*

Things need to actually happen every now and then.

So yeah, mastina had her chance. Now she either gladiates and gets lynched, or she gets lynched. But we are not keeping her in the game for another dayphase.

This was my first impression of the game upon replacing in, ignoring gladiates and other mechanical shit that wasn't confirmed

In response, on the morning of the 10th, LH discussed my top three reads:
1 - He agreed on Titus and felt like the excuses she'd made were invalid. He also disliked her tunnel.

2 - He slightly agreed on NSG being scummy but had some doubts about her being a top scum candidate.

3 - He felt null on randomidget and identified some posts in his iso that made him unenthusiastic about that wagon

Since Titus was our strongest overlapping scumread, my response was to vote Titus.

I understood it differently. We *win* the gladiation, it does not *fail to resolve like it would on scum*. This means, which I think Mastina picked up on which is why she kept us townpooled, is that if she had attempted to gladiate us she would have committed suicide (it would have resolved, and then she would have *lost* the gladiation). Her not commenting on this but attempting to townpool us anyway is one reason I started to suspect her, because I found it unlikely she would overlook that detail when our predecessor had mentioned it. It is also why both of our heads suggested Mastina gladiate us when we started to get fed up with her stalling

The only thing we should conclude is that we really shouldnt look much at the interactions that Varsoon and Mastina had with people. There really is no predicting on whom they decided on was going to to bus or buddy their teammates. If Mastina has a role that has to die, you can count on her trying to setup her teammates in a good way though.

So tone + activity both suggest difference from scumplay.

LH reviewed a bit after the flip. I started the night wanting to do Ari for the second parity action and LH said to do Nico instead and I thought that was fine too. We've both wanted something on NSG for a while.

(Not really sure I get the argument that she's strong town to people like Sho, but given that Nico looks a bit worse I'm willing to roll with it for now).

I personally didn't really do a big review, since I wasn't 100% sure we'd be alive given using our double vote for both Varsoon and Mastina. To be honest the start of this dayphase with our parity guilty and mastina dead is the first time I've actually cared about this game since early October.

I proposed multivoting and hurtcounts as a way to make the day faster.

Despite self voting, no one else would hammer the gladiate on me for some reason. She had been asked to gladiate both me and nico at that point in the day, and she wanted to wait to see if she could get Varsoon instead.

Varsoon was at L-2 or L-3 at that point iirc. Then Vecna unvoted me to put Nico, Varsoon and I at all the same level gladiate wise because he wanted a NR gladiate over a me gladiate. Varsoon went off and did his thing and died.

Meme was the loudest proponent of mastina hipshooting gladiates, but Nero was another big name there iirc. JJ threatened to use his role to prevent gladiation to try to force her to gladiate faster, but didn't, on the same day as Varsoon's death.

I think jj might have been the one to start the democratic process of the gladiate, but it happened before me and I'm not slogging through his 4000 posts again to find out. If not him, it was probably mastina.

Fire, Varsoon, Wheme, Ari and I think some other peeps just wanted to lynch mastina, and me and jj were the only real opposition to that before the Varsoon lynch iirc. Vecna was significant resistance to that afterwards.

To be clear, NSG is confirmed "not-group-scum" not "confirmed town." If we do have SK, then NSG is not eliminated from that pool. But I'm still not sure we actually have SK over vig so I'm fine not touching that until we finish off the group scum and if the game is not won at that point.

Few thoughts -- there's no reason to think "dreaming god" in any way shape or form is town indicative for LA? I mean claiming her role name does not make her town?

Why would Ari be targeted by nihilism? Creature makes sense, {last night's target makes sense}, Jingle.... kinda makes sense? But if the nihilism effect is a groupscum action, then why would they target Ari? Did Ari ever claim or imply an investigative role? I think if scum ever no-nihilism'd, then Ari would be the likely fake in that group.

Like, if Ari was targeted by groupscum with nihilism, then that would seem to be town indicative, but I don't know WHY they would target him given his play, lack of attention to the game, and no implied or softed investigative ability (unless I'm forgetting something?)

By pg 286 in catch up and have yet to see shos state why on Earth she didn't bg if FB , if she really is bg.

vecna stated N5 he jked Porkens (poisoner?) . wheme was mod killed & FB was nked according to RC.
So Pork can’t be the roleblocker, because the jk would stop his rb AND the kill.
I think Pork needs to claim his role and what it does, so we have less chance of mislynch today.
