I did. Bulge only ever got to L-2. Don't worry, I'm not stupid.
Stupid isn't the word I'd use. Reckless is.
Plus, two votes in a game this size isn't a lot. It's easy to snipe that hammer on.-

That's your first mistake.

Obviously from the post below yours, someone is arguing, but you completely missed the point where it's scummy. Because quick lynches gives town a substantially reduced time to find scum, town is unlikely to do their job in finding scum. Something anti-town is inherently pro-scum. Actions that are pro-scum is scummy.

In post 353, Gorkington wrote:kuroi. if im understanding you correctly. you think scum built the wagon on bulge for the purpose of hopefully having someone quick hammer and end the day? and not because they want to appear like theyre trying to build wagons like a goody good town person?
Obviously, it's not all scum. Scum's numbers are incredibly overwhelmed by town's numbers and can only hide behind anonymity. Obviously, scum couldn't have amassed that huge wagon without help from town. Even if many of these people are town, they're engaging in scummy behavior. Some of these town don't know better.
In post 354, Antihero wrote:and you understand i really dont care right?
You cared enough to ask questions. You cared enough to use my words to gauge my scumminess. There's a fine line between ignorance and apathy. Please keep that in mind.
In post 358, Gorkington wrote:kuroi. im going to ask you to stop making generalizations because theyre not useful and draw attention away from more interesting things. if you think there was scum on the bulge wagon, you should be attacking specifics/specific people on the wagon rather than just calling the wagon itself bad. there are only two scum in this game. momentum of wagons is not a useful metric in any capacity.
I'll have a list of today, an entire list, It's beginning to appear prudent for me to do so.

Davsto, considering I've seen wagons like this go from nothing to a full lynch within a couple hours, it's anti-town. Like I said, anti-town is pro-scum because only scum benefit from it. Bulge divulged nothing. This doesn't mean that Bulge isn't scum, but it doesn't mean he's town either. Like I said, it was a reckless bandwagon, and I'm only considering reckless those who engaged in the bandwagon because they thought it would do something useful - namely, you.
And yes, nearly lynched. They needed only two people. In a game with a larger number, two isn't a lot.-

Nada. Bulge didn't react to the wagon. Like, at all. I'm getting a slight scumlean on that because I'm leaning towards that being her avoiding saying anything to avoid bringing negative attention to herself.it's anti-town. Like I said, anti-town is pro-scum because only scum benefit from it. Bulge divulged nothing. This doesn't mean that Bulge isn't scum, but it doesn't mean he's town either.
Maybe it's because he didn't think he'd be lynched for nothing at the beginning of day one. I'd say it's null.
Again, not reckless. Reckless would be "HUR DUR IM GONNA VOTE BULGE WITHOUT PAYING ATTENTION TO THE NUMBER OF VOTES". I think every player in this game is competent enough to actually pay attention to the votes enough to not vote when it would be bad.Like I said, it was a reckless bandwagon,
So... the reckless ones were the one that voted for a reason? Rather than the ones that voted for a laugh? This seems backwards.
and I'm only considering reckless those who engaged in the bandwagon because they thought it would do something useful - namely, you.
You knew that he was L-3 before your vote. Did you not think, after you made him L-2, that he could never possibly be lynched? It's just impossible? If you are honestly so content with yourself for thinking that, then you're conceding the effectiveness of this strategy because the person being bandwagonned would think someone would simply let go eventually.
I mean, two is the entire scumteam, so scum aren't gonna quickhammer two votes. Again, you're borderline insulting the skill of people in this game by assuming that they're stupid enough to just let that get lynched, when paying any sort of attention to what happened would pretty obviously display that is not true.
And yes, nearly lynched. They needed only two people. In a game with a larger number, two isn't a lot.
You're assuming only scum would do something stupid like this. You know it takes more than scum to lynch right? And town aren't 100% right, or else Mafia would be a boring game to play.-

Thanks. I am. I really want to give my detailed post the attention it deserves but I'm waiting until work slows down where I can concentrate. Of all my flaws in Mafia, one of my greatest flaws is that I have averyhard time regaining my train of thought once it's lost. Call it a learning disability. Call it me being a fucking idiot, but this is how I operate, especially in a game where if I try to rush something, I find that it comes out the wrong way and it tends to get me lynched.-

Unvote, vote: bulge
Please correct me if I missed someone, but I quoted the posts I find interesting as it pertains to Bulge. I'm just going to list for ease's sake the players I'm going to write off as their vote being non-alignment indicative - or those who I don't find scummy because of their vote: JohnnyFarrar, Antihero, Marquis, Katsuki and probably Davsto.
Now this leaves us with a couple others: Gorkington, Bins and CES. I will repeat the quotes for reference.
Bins:
VOTE: the bulge
In post 142, Bins wrote:yeah ok let's push the bulge (aheha eAHE A)
I'll be honest. There may be nothing wrong with this post, except that it gives me the worst gut feeling. At first, I thought that it was just a post I didn't like and that I'll just look over it and as long as nothing else that bothered me was posted, all is fine. Then I took a look at their ISO. Take a look for yourself. This user has nothing but absolute fluff. I'll actually go as far as to say that out of everyone in this game, he's posted the least amount - both in amount of posts, length of posts and content. It's fluff. Maybe he's due for a prod. Maybe he's coasting by, but whatever it is, it shows strong signs of coasting and the least amount of helpfulness to town. I'm making my reads as I write this post but for right now, I'll definitely mark Bins down as [at least]lean scum.
CES:
In post 175, Cogito Ergo Sum wrote:Fine, Anti, I was going to go for the bandwagon on scum, but let it not be said I'm unwilling to compromise.
Unvote, vote: bulge
This struck me most because of the fence-sitting. This seems like the disingenuous, "I don't like where this is going, but I'm going to trust Antihero and so if this doesn't work out, he should take the blame because I'm just following his lead." I'm honestly conflicted with voting him when I researched more. Initially, I thought to myself, "This is such a rookie play," but this guy has been with MafiaScum for over a decade, so now I'm double thinking it. Then I'm asking myself if this is WIFOM psychology to screw with me, so now I'm not 100% sure. I'm not 100% sure he's scum now, so I'm going to UNVOTE: but leave him with aFoS. I don't know if he's scum, but I know that I found that to be scummy.
Going through his ISO, there are a lot of non-serious posts, a lot of vote switching and the rest is just screwing with me.
Gorkington:
In post 174, Gorkington wrote:
i have my doubts about this but okay you win.In post 171, Cogito Ergo Sum wrote:Not bandwagonning at this stage is tantamount to collaborating with the enemy.
vote: bulge
I didn't like this post for the same reason why I didn't like CES' posts. It seems to have an inherent "defense through following" scum-ring. Also, this post is either a joke or it's sincere. I don't get the humor if this is intended for a joke and I don't get the feeling that it's meant that way. There was barely any arguing from CES either, yet he just went with it. He then went through the motions with the unvote. It all comes across as strange and disingenuous to me. Maybe he has no passion for it, as intended in 234... although his tune seems to certainly change in 405 where he goes from depressed to condescending. He's at least pushing me, so I'm not 100% that he's scum
Remember in my last post when I said when I lose my train of thought, I have a terrible time getting it back? I went into this thread ready to find Gorkington because I swore I found something in his ISO, but now I can't find it and I'm pissed at myself so I'll probably search for like an hour after my post until I remember what I forgot. For right now, I at least want to get through everyone else with some sort of read.
Strong Town:
Lean Town: Antihero, T-Bone
Null/Unsorted: CES, JohnnyFerrar, Katsuki, Marquis, SnarkySnowman, Bulge, Muffinman (I'm guessing he was joking about being an innocent child), Reckoner
Lean Scum: Bins, Gorkington, Quilford
Strong Scum:
I'm hoping, with time, there will be less null/unsorted and there will be more diversity in my read list.
That's what I have to add, for now.-

Sheeping is a terrible idea for many reasons. Here are only a few.
1. In almost every instance, you can't fully trust the person you're sheeping.
2. It impedes scum hunting development.
3. It takes away the critical thinking aspect of the game.
Those are just three reasons. I won't spend all night counting to 100.-

Why do I get this feeling that you're spectating this game a lot more than you're playing it?

LOL
I don't like this post. You're acting like scum can't see what it would like to be town. I mean, my comment doesn't show you to be alignment indicative at all, but I feel like that post is fallacious.
Why?-

Not that Hiplop is even the top 3 on the list of people I would vote, but my biggest beef with him is that he coasts more than anything. He comments and makes the appearance that he does a lot of stuff. If this game was A New Hope, he'd be one of those X-Wings not trying to bomb the exhaust port. He'd just be circling the Death Star a hundred times for the fuck of it.-

What an achievement.
Vague, ad hominem and ad hominem. Congratulations.
Alright before you were objectionable but now you're just being gross.
Does that mean you won't take me to the Winter Snowball?
@Kuroi I'm curious to know what about the ISO of myself, Dav and Kats sets us apart from those of Gork and bins?
It was mostly the vibe I've been getting. Davsto would have to be pretty ballsy to do what he did, more ballsy than I believe he really is. You're overall as helpful as you were in that post and Katsuki is 100% gut based.-

Lurking is often a scum tell?
And Johnny, I thought my posts grossed you out. Why would you want me to post more?-

I think I explained this in a later post, but CES' post appeared to be most disingenuous. Upon further review after that, I disliked Bins' play more but at my first read-through, I disliked CES. It wasn't more of what he did, but how he went about doing it. It seemed like he said it, but didn't mean it.-
