As for JJD wanting masons to claim - it's obviously a bad idea. There's no way scum can fakeclaim masons in this setup, they'll get caught once we massclaim later in the game. Then we out confirmed innocents for no reason, and if there's a Doc, they now have 3 innos to protect instead of 1, making it less likely for a Doc to be accurate.

Having said all that, I think he's slightly town-ish for suggesting it. Scum are rarely brazen enough to blatantly rolefish - he's more likely misguided town.

It's theoretically possible for scum to fakeclaim a role during massclaim, depending on what order scum fall in the massclaim order. If they go last, there may be an opening for them to claim something other than VT, but if they're earlier in the massclaim order, they risk claiming something that will be counterclaimed. Also, depending on what scum role(s) have been flipped by then, this will also enable us to more accurately narrow down which setup(s) we are possibly in. You can use process of elimination quite well later in the game, to the point where scum fakeclaiming masons is nigh on impossible to get away with.

I have 10-ish games in another site. I played a few games of Town of Salem as well. But this is much more different.

I considered lynching you because you were spamming and being unhelpful to town. But then I realized lynching someone else is same with lynching you because you are most likely going to get killed at night.

Let me use an example from Town of Salem: Let's say we have a mayor. He's spamming and being unhelpful to town. He then reveals himself as mayor. Do you lynch the mayor in that case?

, why? Because then you're proving yourself as non-town, because why would Town want to lynch the mayor, the

confirmed town role? If you're town, that's gamethrowing.

The same example is true here. We're innocent child. We're a town role that is confirmed to be town. Why would you lynch that role even if they're spamming and not being helpful? Because then you're gamethrowing. You're purposefully harming your own faction. Even if you're town, you're bad town.

"more members" does not necessarily equate to "strength of faction". if it's scattered and not planned well, it's bad. if you have four scum in a game who don't have night chat, but are just doing seperate things and aren't agreed on an agenda it's worse scum than a scumteam that is two people very delicately manipulating the gamestate.

Also, fwiw, I post a lot. That doesn't mean that I'm not a good player/being unhelpful. I just post a lot. Sure it may be spammy at times, but it's how I play.

IMO - People not interacting with the... whatever the eff they are, should be looked at. Skum day 1 is normally quiet. Just kind of creates more of a reason to be quiet.

Also, there is like 0% chance Nyeo is skum. They did a thing, and yeah it didn't make a lot of sense. but also, what skum would vote IC thinking they would somehow get a lynch there? That is just ridiculous. Either Town trying to push buttons (which is good), or Town that made a mistake. Very, verrrryyyyyy unlikely it is skum going for a lynch on the IC
