I’m going to be honest, I’m a little upset with this game.

Alisae's punishment makes the last five pages really hard to read

It's bizarre as hell that Pine gets called out for zero scum hunting in a game that's basically been "Pine is scum, here's some pictures, send me a key, don't ask what keys everyone needs, oh shit there's a black key"

I think that about sums up the game. It's hard in general to scum hunt mechanic heavy games on day one

Anyway I've got a violent headache and I haven't been to the beach In like two weeks

I don't hate Plum's posts, I think she's tunneling you

I don't like Maria's quote unquote contributions, I feel like accusations of jester are more likely to come from scum, least of all "I don't care if we give him a win, just kill it"

It's like, suppose you were a jester, or some other "I must get myself lynched" mechanic. It's a bastard game, designed by LLD. Who's to say you'd win by getting lynched, or even removed from the game? It's just as likely such a mechanic (if it existed) would do the opposite like make you more powerful or give you a vengeance shot or something. I don't like Maria's immediate jump to the conclusion she made, even if she thought you were trying to get mislynched. And even that last point is a stretch because you answered a question that was asked of you anyway.

There's a significant difference between

"I'm sure there's scum on my wagon," and "I know who they are."

I've done both but the former is more common. It's not really a conclusion, more like a jump off point

The lurkaderp rule, which is as close to ironclad as any tactic I've ever put forth is that there's always at least one scum in the bottom three or four posters. The corollary is that there's usually another scum in the top three or four.

I've worked on that thought over a number of years, most scum teams have a workhorse.

I agree with this sentiment, this is the template for most games
Are you two scumfucks insane
Perhaps you are missing a brain?
Lurk from demotivation
In a CYS formation
Don't pick scum! Problem solved, no shame
I didn't say they're lurking from demotivation, some people more passively play scum or let more experienced partners take the point. And I forgot it was CYS.

Actually yeah, if everyone gets banished who doesn't have a key at well of fears, and the black key gets willed out upon banishment, it would pass to one of the players in the well of fears, one of which will inevitably be holding it along with any other keys

The Black Key player wouldn't be banished because they hold one of the 6 keys.

Ah for some reason I thought that it was a seventh key that wasn't required or whatever

So you can actually end the game with the black key on scum: if scum makes it to the well of fears and town ends up with the six keys, scum can be left holding the black key--- the town wincon being fulfilled ends the game

Because the rules say:

Now, 6 colours wouldn't preclude that because Black is not a color. But it says "all 6 keys", which means that these 6 keys are "all keys" and as such a seventh key can't exist.

It's time that this gets answered.

What does that have to do with someone else not answering that question?

Because it's real rich coming from you that you think you can try to exert pressure with statements like "it's time this got answered."

Your posts are so empty that you exert all the pressure of a marshmallow. You can say anything you want about how he needs to answer or it's time to answer, but everyone in this game, including him, knows you have no teeth. Like what are you gonna do? Lynch him if he doesn't answer? You're not exactly on solid ground to be making demands. That's what it has to do with it.

It's slightly more beneficial to the town to do your setup spec out in the open, so the rest of the town can know it... that's the reasoning I got.

It means the other townies don't have to setup spec as hard as normal.

You're a better man than I, I'd have just said "I'll townread whoever I want for whatever reasons I want, up to and including sound logic, moon logic, tells both real and imagined, the position of the stars, my current mood, the way the chicken bones fall into the circle of blood, cases built about other players from other games that didn't involve anyone here, and the spots on a random dog I saw one time."

It is also an easy way for scum to partipiciate without doing scumhunting. It is an easy way to increase the size of your ISO with low risk contributions.
They had implosion as top townread, and gave as reasons "setup spec" and "pushes"
If they are the top townread, then they must have done good things to be townread. "its slightly more beneficial for town=townread" looks like fake, or newbie scumhunting. TL is not a newbie. And I don't see a lot of
pushes
in the ISO of implosion either. And no strong pushes.
The townread is fake. It has been artificially construed.

Are you seriously calling someone out for low risk contributions, mr "tee here everybody null"

I feel like I haven't murdered in ages what the fuck is this game

Why am I even posting halfway through what is now four double shifts in four days

I don't remember anything in life except this facility and my bed

My cat has taken to hiding her food from imaginary competitors

My life this week is one endless parade of putting people on and off bedpans and getting yelled at by family members who don't understand why dad doesn't remember them

I spent two hours of my time today refreshing Ticketmaster like a madman for wrestling tickets instead of sleeping

If god ever lived then he probably died of sleep deprivation

I feel like I should kick the caffeine habit but the dark mistress demands tribute

Why the Fuck can't I bring myself to get back on the weight loss train

Why am I working 70 hours a week instead of continuing to publish gangbang erotica

Should I switch to monster erotica

No that's stupid it doesn't sell why don't you just do gender swap or hucow ffs

Why am I nauseated

Why am I still typing this

No, deathtunneling is when your entire purpose for being is to lynch that player and nothing they say or do can ever convince you they're town. It isn't that you don't care if they're town, you're so convinced they're scum that their death is the only thing that will slake your thirst.

No matter how many detours you come to, or whatever evasive maneuvers that scum Fuck makes, you're still right behind him because you're chasing him through a tunnel, and the only way to get out of that tunnel is to beat him to death with your own two hands.

Death tunnels can be justified tho and are usually a symptom of either myopic scum hunting, or good scumhunting where you're being stonewalled by the scum team or you don't have enough clout with the town to push it through so you become just an angry voice quacking in the wind until you finally fake a guilty on them or just spend page after page shouting for their blood until finally the town lynched them just to shut you the fuck up

I haven't "converted" anyone, again, I SELECTED FOUR PEOPLE BEFORE THE GAME BEGAN

They DO NOT KNOW WHO EACH OTHER ARE other than the fact that I said so right in this thread, and the only way for them to become 100% aware is if I get a red key, they get to be in a neighborhood together

further, you know absolutely nothing about my win condition, and the honest truth is that I fully intend to hold this game hostage with my knowledge of such.

and besides, it's not for your benefit, the town's benefit, or scum's benefit that I've said these things.

I need The Four to understand that I need them to make a sacrifice for me in order to win

and since I don't get a Private Topic this was the only way I could figure out how to do it.

I don't actually expect any of them to sacrifice their game for me, but who knows?

Like come on y'all

Use your brains

Use what you know about me

This level of arrogance, this amount of coy surety when there was never any credible suspicion against me, it means only one of two things:

I've figured out the game and nothing can stop me from beating both town and scum

OR

I got bored after realizing it was hopeless

So I could care less if you banish me, really I couldn't

But I know things, I know things about that scary little black key.

As I said, there are Four Horsemen

Three have been named. One of you is a vector for my victory and doesn't even know it yet.

Like, while the Oranges were probably a bigger threat, I managed to convince an entire faction to give me money to go after the Yellows despite them never trying to be anything but neutral, mostly through a propaganda campaign where I demonized every little post by a seldom-liked forums poster, screaming at him incessantly about how I was attacking their home, only to sail past and destroy their economy within a matter of hours and then execute all of their colonists before they could muster the defense to retake their holdings.

I mean, let's not split hairs, some dude pissed me off on the game forums and I spent weeks executing a plan that basically removed him, his allies, and people unlucky enough to be born on the same planet, from the game they'd spent months building up and never recovered from.

And then I burned my gains to ashes to ensure they could never get any of it back.

Lemme ask you this.

Who do you think gave Pine the Black Key when it first appeared? He already told you all the mechanics, and he couldn't wait to get rid of it.

I entrapped his posts, I willed it into the game, and I unleashed it on the first person I had opportunity to stick with it.

Even now, my key spreads, in fact I don't even know where it rests, I can only hope it finds its way to one of the Four who must make that sacrifice for me.

Now you see why I don't care if that red key neighborhood opens up. I don't need the Four to know who they are. Three are named anyway, but the fourth is my backup plan, my unwitting sacrifice that will see my way to victory.

Like you think you're threatening me with a lynch when I've said all along I expect to be banished: town can't win if third parties are in the well of fears

You think I'm scum despite being a claimed third party, but the thing about scum claiming third party is that it's only when they're under pressure to save their asses that it's weird. I've not been under pressure. At all. And I've not once claimed to be town. And I'm not playing as town or scum because I could give a shit who gets lynched.

So, no, Maria, this is not an insult when I tell you you're in over your head. You clearly have no idea what the deal is in this game.

It's not your fault, and believe you me I pity you more than anything.

What will really bake y'alls noodles is this: The Black Key causes it's holder to lose regardless of their faction's victory status

Someone at the circle of trust WILL be holding it when the game ends, since you cannot destroy keys and must will them on death and the sacrifice will be made

My black key is poison to all, and I'd suggest people start considering it more seriously

So I'm going to commend you.

Because the black key causes the holder to lose and is passed around differently from other keys

your horsemen could have some immunity they don’t know about and you could have picked the scumteam?

How do you choose immunity from a win condition

Also why would I openly name my scum partners

Also that would mean there are five of us on the scum team

I mean, my win condition is literally to ensure that one of them loses by getting stuck with the black key at the end

That doesn't make any of them or all of them statistically likely to be scum especially considering I chose them myself

Today's my sixth day in a row at work and I'm exhausted so instead of being mean I'm gonna go with super polite but really condescending

It's a side of my personality that I don't get to show much on this site but it's less bannable than murderous rage which I'm not feeling lately anyway. I just got a new kitten, who can be angry when you have a kitten?

Anyway, everyone here is just playing
swell
and I'm so happy to be here with you all! I can't wait to see who you lynch because I'm sure it'll be the best thing for your win conditions! Have a great day everyone!
