It's a bit weird to have 2 survivors though, so:

If you see someone crumbing you don't call it out. Crumbs are hints to attentive town in attempts to communicate something with the chance that a mafia ignorant enough won't see it. Calling out a crumb is like helping mafia rolefish. Completely defeats the purpose.
He clearly said Survivor multiple times in the post. How would anyone miss this. Do you think you sound kind of LAMIST here?
I don't think Carca is aware of that element of the normal rules

Is the flailing thing cumulative? It sounds like we should all just accuse the d1 lynch target of flailing before we hammer (I call the lolhammer btw) to increase their chance of flipping scum.

@Hectic: if anyone gets to L2 and you want to lolL1 I'll lolhammer or vise versa.

There are yet to be 100 stats in this thread so you have called your own stat made up thus creating a looping paradox of it being made up then not made up then made up then not made up....
Good catch! Now can you recognize this:

Pilgrim, can you handle this?
Dalton, can you handle this?
Gamma, can you handle this?
I don't think they can handle this
My boy Fish, can you handle this?
My girl Carca, can you handle this?
davesaz, can you handle this?
YouAreGreat, you can't handle this
I'm going to guess it's a Destiny Child some rehashed using players in this game.

Why'd you halt your catchup after seeing this post, Gamma?

I was reading your guide to finding scum on the wiki, and you said scum are more prone to being put off the thread by being scumread. Did you stop catching up for that reason?
I think you're the first person to ever read my guide, that makes you unvotable by me until like Day 3 at the earliest

Her comment about worrying about Hectic pointing out breadcrumbs in response to what I thought was a pretty obvious joke came across to me as her trying to score easy townpoints. That's why I asked if it was a joke. And I didn't read it as a joke initially, which is why I directed the vote there.

And as for my comments that I can't read Hectic and Hopkirk, I mean that. The jokey posts come across as though they're not game solving, but they're legit nai, so sorting them is tough. Yet for some reason I decided to torture myself by replacing into this game.
Could I ask what LIV means please? I don't see it anywhere in the wiki.
If you believe the jokey posts are NAI, can't you just disregard them?
Some people (myself included) believe the RVS stage is never truly random and you always pick someone for some reason, so it's a "low information vote stage"

I think it's a minority opinion
I think it's an accurate statement but RVS is just easier to say

What I think you may find interesting is that there was this old statistic/graphic that "scum tend to post less" in general, so the likelyhood of pagetopping is less.

I've been wrecked by exceptions before, so it doesn't really help you in my book. Everyone's got an equal chance of being scum here. Except maybe gamma.
I was reading through Mastin's Insane Tells in the wiki and apparently a lot of these statistics and guides become obsolete once people actually start reading them and playing against the tells.

What's your history with
Omega Ruby
Gamma Emerald?
Some people are God meta manipulators and following what you know can be a weakness for them to exploit. They take no prisoners.

I have a little bit of history. He's just town.
Like who
This raises so many red flags

She scum read me in most of my town games, and then town read me as VI town when I was scum bussing a buddy whom she also thought of as town.

Hello, I’m Rick Dalton. The best TV baddie cowboy in the biz.

I’m the antithesis of the normal mafia philosophy and bring results. This town ain’t big enough for the two of us.

Pretty sure Soulreading is something FL just made up. Either that or it's that thing Cowbells has where you sell your soul for enhanced mafia abilities.
Soul reading is a cheap term used to say you are good at reading X person
Like I could say I can "soulread" MariaR but I don't because the term I'd dumb. I just say I trust my ability to read her.

playing the bloody game. You're just not seeing it because you have your bloody shades on. However, there are many experts in this game who would tell you that I -at least- am playing (as in sorting) as we speak. They may not all be able to tell my alignment yet (except those who rolled scum, of course) and may not even know what exactly I'm doing, but they know I'm playing the game of Mafia as we speak.

I see the character of the game start as being different from the average RVS in a subtle way. It generated more actual content faster.
Hm. Given that what do you think that content says rn?

that's fair. my issue with his scumlist is that it has 13 players. not only do i think that 13 players in a scumlist is so useless that it barely counts as a scumlist, i don't buy that he had a townread on the other 8 players so early into the game.
I think your thinking is fair but it's not really a scummy thing. And I think it is totally reasonable to have 8 townreads at that point.

Okay, because the rules say the

In post 685, YOUAREGREAT wrote:maybe i'm confusing our conflicting playstyles with you being scummy
I do believe that to be the case. And you obviously never played with someone like Wisdom, but that's a whole lot of another bucket.

Seriously though, it's a combination of how they phrase their posts for some and how they react to stuff for everyone. Stuff maybe stuff I said or stuff someone else said. I know how X would react to something. I know Y would see "that thing" as an opportunity to push a mislynch on someone. So, when "that thing" happens and they don't push it, and -in fact- try to find the town motive behind it I figure this isn't their scum game.

I'll give you one example (and one example only) as a means to elaborate on the idea: profii asked me if I had asked him something to convey that I was town )this happened after IO posted my list, I know, but it's a good example, and it also confirmed my read on him). The question he was referring to was me asking if he had a personal PT. He was the Cop in that game (in which I was the mod), and he thought I was crumbing Cop. And
although I am a Cop
:P I told him that wasn't my intention. For profii to think that was a crumb is NAI, but for him to ask the way he did rather than just keep silent and deal with me at night is town indicative.

Also, many players (you included) keep referring to my "scum pool list" as such, when I clearly said I had no reason to TR them yet it didn't mean I FoS them all. I dunno why people like to be selective in their comprehension of what's been typed. Most people read something and it translates into something else in their minds and then they keep assuming that's the truth.

Take a look at my recent back & forth with Hopkirk. I say I have a TOWN LEAN on Hectic and he wastes like 2 pages arguing I had a scum lean on the guy. That's too stupid to be pushed as scum indicative of Hopkirk, because he was quoting my post every single time, so it's clearly he had a brain fart and decided what he misread was the truth. In his mind he believed I has a scum lean on Hectic despite the test he was quoting said otherwise.

SO, all I ask is for people to read what I say
as it is
. Don't assume any hidden meanings (especially if you have no experience with me). If I say I am a Cop (I just did a few lines above) just assume that I am claiming a Cop of some sorts, and act upon it.
I don't buy your claim pal

I feel like you're taking this extremely casually, like youre speaking to people on some friendly Minecraft server. Is this how you always treat your games? How many have you played? By no means do I want to attack your sweet and friendly attitude but the reality of this game is that it can be grueling in the fact that you win it by psychology cracking people open.

I WILL go over the rest of your substantial posts, that's a promise on my gravestone, just let me eat a snack first because I just got home. I just needed to get these out of the way first and display the numbers, or so they say.

I think it’s incredibly fair for me to not like the wagon on Cliff, who has now become a town read based on the wagon on him, not him himself.

Sharon Tate is also part of the gang, and was someone I put in the proclaimed town block.

I did this on a recent Rick Dalton game as well. With Sakura Hana and Formerfish.

Guess what happened there? That ended up being the 3p lylo, and was a big 1v1 between FF and I, but in the end we caught ScumFF.

According to my memory of the wiki, wagons on people who probably aren't even reading the thread right now are utterly useless. Move your votes from roster to anyone else, people.
Either roster will get replaced or will make a return and we can judge/lynch him then if he continues to actively lurk.
the savior has returned to offer his wisdom!!
Ah yes. People often refer to me as Hec "the saviour" tic.
Could someone edit this into my wiki please?
Woah, careful there buddy. If we let just anyone edit the wiki it wouldn't stay the ultimate repository of scumhunting knowledge would it. You're going to need a LOT more permits for that.

I'm going to let you in on a little secret here btw. It's generally pretty discouraged to use the wiki like you're doing. Obviously all of the information in it is perfect, so you'll easily find the scum, which ruins the game for everyone else. You're definitely going to get killed night one, and a lot of people probably think you're a bit of a jerk since using the wiki is considered cheating by like 90% of us. Obviously people don't like to acknowledge this, which is why they're pretending the wiki isn't perfect, but don't be fooled.

---

@Hectic/Carcalilly: I'll want to hear why you like Garmr's read and why you agree/disagree with it. Nobody else weighed in there which is concerning me.

-Hop
You're allowed to maintain your own user page. You need permits to edit guides and such.

Like I believe I put a note for myself to speak on this, anyway, Rick/Flavor likes to say his activity is NAI but I notice his trend seems to be he ends up straight lurking as scum. That seems to definitely be his game here. Like yea he also has active scum game but inactive town games seem to be a lot less common from him

And also, "proof he's a mason" do you want a rolecop result? A flip? Because that' pretty much all the proof you can get and that's either a) a dumb idea and not possible until at least night 1, or b) a really shitty play.

It’s easy to crumb in a fake mason fashion. I’m never gonna truly believe it.

Like sure, you may be masons. Doesn’t change the fact Gamma has a straight up incorrect application of the meta read.
And if you truly are masons, then this would be GOOD that I am pushing it like this because it protects from potential Night kills, which is another reason I’m not fully believing.
I don't believe my meta is incorrect. Maybe on my first real application of it, it was an extreme case. Doesn't change the fact you consistently by my recollection have used similar excuses for inactivity as scum.

Also it doesn't matter that you're "protecting from NKs" if you're scum. You can say all sorts of stuff you don't believe man.
And following Carcalilly's lead of dropping meta, you have continually defended Cliff off of nothing but as I see it flimsy joke meme logic. So even dropping meta you STILL look bad.

I think Hop is town and I think you + Cliff voting him together plus your early interactions were very probable scum+scum interaction
Like what is your whole logic for not wanting to lynch Cliff? As I see it the only things stated so far have been the group meme and not liking the wagon. Why is the wagon so bad?
Tbh should I know who Cliff is?

If you're testing if Cliff and Rick were partners, why deviate from Cliff?
Because Rick felt extremely lacking

I'm just face palming here.

Diverting from Cliff (scum) onto Rick likely only pressures Rick if Rick is town. Otherwise, it dilutes town vote power and makes a counter easier to create.
Does it not pressure Rick if he's scum tho

I forgot about this.

Honestly, it could be mafia claiming SK to try to be “leashed”.

I hate that idea of leashing SK’s. Just kill them.
Saying things like that got me caught as scum in the past you know

Though I agree with the logic
I have a town game, on Rick Dalton even, where I pushed through and got a SK lynch because I hate leashing them.

I always look for the SK claim if necessary as mafia, so i think it’s worthless to leash them. They don’t win with town, they have no reason to be leashed.
What experience informs this?

I think he’s Mafia claiming SK amongst crumbing other roles to help him out of the situation.

I’m even getting sour on his wagon, and I think that was by design, like elements and company needed to convince me to move off of him.

I think that’s why the Gamma vs Rick started in the first place, maybe not started, but it heated up and scum probably added fuel to the fire if Gamma is town.
I have seen Elements on the table for a while and he has kinda been in my blind spot because I've just wanted him to be town for ego reasons but he hasn't actually felt like town
But just for breadth or whatever: can someone give a one sentence case on Elements?
