literally half of the posts so far in this game can be attributed to three people - you, noraa, and gamma. 103 posts between the 3 of you

the game has been open for like 5 hours.

i am asking you not to turn this into a spamposting clusterfuck because i know for a fact there are at least 5-6 players in this game that will not or won't keep up especially when the vast majority of your spamposting is irrelevant bullshit

I mean the challenge was a bad idea imo
But I don’t think that equates to being unable to read anyone today.

Also, pretty much never seen a Pooky town game where the best words to describe him are “logical” and “reasonable”. Those words are ones I’d reserve for scum!Pooky.
You’re welcome to counter this.

you were literally in one of the games I’m talking about

Spoiler: the first pooky post I saw
In post 122, Fun and Games wrote:I have been thinking about the setup and below are some of my thoughts so far.

I've played similar games where there are rooms etc and one way to find the bad guys is to have a running tally of actions etc.

It seems one way the scum could kill people is by attacking them at night as one of their actions - as room exploration, lab deactivation attacks are not public actions.

In lieu of a standard nightkill, the scum have an anonymous attack - they also could attack somebody directly if they believe they have a good chance of killing them as a dead person is unable to say anything.

They can also use their nightactions to attack a person directly,

For example the entire scum team could attack Bingle and if they succeed in dealing him enough damage - he would not be able to tell us who his attackers were as he is dead.

One way I thought of to deal with this is if we coordinate our night actions on rooms that provide verification.

For example if all of us were to use the gym - all of us would get a speed increase of 1 - scum who would try to do something evil would not get this speed increase and be exposed.

Also @Nosferatu - what happened to your knowledge? Did the scum use their factional ability to reduce it? This would put you very close to dying if I am reading the rules correctly and you should go to the library to fix this.

Also as for mech-speculation - I do not believe it is a priority to destroy the labs currently as our player count is quite high - it would make sense imo to have higher knowledge players destroy labs.

A player with a knowledge score of 3 has only a 10/27 chance of de-activating a lab successfully - and failure would be a wasted action on the part of the town. Also the lower the probability of success is, the easier it is for scum to do something evil and pretend like his night-action was to de-activate a lab when it really was not.

In post 198, Gamma Emerald wrote:My method of reading him boils down to, in simple terms: if he looks like he knows what he’s doing, he’s scum, if he doesn’t he’s town
That seems exceptionally easy to fake, but ok...

My viewpoint is basically Pooky calling a challenge immediately is a pro-scum move. Doesn't mean he is scum necessarily, but scum will benefit. No matter who gets yeeted today, people tomorrow can say "well, Pooky called it so early, what else could be done?" There won't be any responsibility for actions, which is going to make the day a wash later when we have some flips and we are trying to do analysis.

We can try to make the best of it and press on people, but it is now what it is.

My gut reads at this point are:

Pooky is a fucking idiot who I want dead regardless because he can just pull a similar action D2, and then what do people say?

Noraa - I don't have scum vibes yet. We made a deal in our PT to trust each other for now and reassess as needed. I'm ok with that deal for a day and I'm not gonna be convinced to yeet Noraa unless there is something truly compelling there.

Gamma - I don't love the untethered speculating, but I'm trying to determine how much is Gamma and how much is his proximity to Pooky. People get influenced by neighbor groups, and my reservation on his scummy behavior is that Pooky is encouraging lolcat mentality. I think gamma saying lilith is scummy for a single RVS post is pretty scummy, given gamma granted Pooky's actions a free pass -- even encouragement -- but yeah...

Eh I don't really use hydra games for meta as strongly as games on main. Probably for the best, because I know that impacts mood and will to post, from personal experience.
As for why I was okay, I'd already resigned myself to it happening, since it was teased in the queue thread and I know Pooky well enough to know he's probably not gonna listen to me if I tell him to stop. Plus I think the opposite of Reck, where an early challenge honestly is probably better for reading people.

It looks like “I know you’re town but need to justify my vote here with moral outrage”

But it also looks like “this guys head is full of stuffing he’s not good to keep around”

I didn’t like Pooky asserting “I’m town bc scum wouldn’t be this reckless” either
