Black's #256 bothered me because a chunk of the wall is irrelevant comments ("Hi patch", "Cant believe we won death note", etc), a lot of it is just empty commentary to me ("not following these reads by Umlaut", "this feels a little fence-sitty from bris", etc) that feels like Black trying to find a reason to be productive and useful as !scum, like trying to fill a quota, rather than being a townie trying to focus on something and scumhunting, and a lot of the reads are just pretty non-committal and fencesitty in of themselves (see the comments to 153, 233, 120, etc) despite her criticizing others for the same.

Her reasons for voting me are then also pretty poor since idk how she spends much of the post throwing shade at other players, some more than me like Umlaut, and then decided to single me out because I accidentally wrote down Greeting twice in my reads post and because I jokingly told people to sheep me with no context on Umlaut. Former reason is just bogus and the latter feels like manufactured outrage. It definitely feels like Black is really reaching and making a mountain out of a molehill by focusing on stuff like that and taking advantage of the fact that I've decided to play passive and have provided no context for me vibe reads which is a really easy playstyle to just blindly attack as scum with not much effort.

Tbh I was in the process of looking at the other stuff, and was about to say that something about the discussion between Umlaut/Gera/Black about the whole setup thing doesn't sit well with me, I mostly see it as a pointless discussion and as a kind of theatre. I started the Venmar wagon, sorted him based on his reaction to it, then analyzed the wagon and now I'm trying to find scum on it. Tbh I was in the process of looking at the other stuff, and was about to say that something about the discussion between Umlaut/Gera/Black about the whole setup thing doesn't sit well with me, I mostly see it as a pointless discussion and as a kind of theatre. Sky said in signups that the setup has 2 scum and the fact that this generate a whole page of discussion is weird to me.

Hard disagree it was pointless, it advanced my reads on both gerain and Black (at first just on gerain but Black's followups seem really concerned with being understood correctly in a way that comes off town to me).

I've re-evaluated my townread on her. I feel like she hasn't really done anything I can remember and I feel like I've given her a mental pass till now and would like to add a bit of pressure if possible.

Plus I took a quick look at T3's ISO cause I feel like there must've been a reason for him dying and his main scumreads were Greeting, Mala and Umlaut/Bris in that order of strength? Could've been a random NK or could've been silenced to take some pressure off of Greeting or Mala and I kinda like Greeting more but I'd like to pressure both. Latter feels more plausible than misdirection since NK15 or I probably felt like the obvious D2 pushes anyway.

Yes, I do usually get into it quicker. However, I didn't want to cast my vote blindly (as stated in one of my posts) and I wanted to find a player that pinged me a lot. That player happened to be Umlaut, but I didn't vote him until later on.

Also I'm not quite sure why you think scum!me would literally build up the associatives with venmar. You've seen my scumgames before and you know that I am way better at distancing than whatever's going on with me and Venmar. Frankly, if my partner is the biggest wagon, I'd just hardbus at that point, because it looks bad to be off scum's wagon and increases associatives.

there were four days left, and i had planned to sit down and case him closer to the deadline, but again, BECAUSE OF THE HAMMER, i lost that opportunity.
you act like i've been sitting around, trying to find a false reason to vote someone, and stalling on the case. i literally did not have time to queue all of umlaut's posts, break them down, and explain why i scumread umlaut when i have to write 3000 word essays.

my townread on Patch is diminishing. I don't see them making a whole lot of actual concrete position taking and it sorta seems like they're actively avoiding it even when pressed. Not a scumread cuz I can't pinpoint scum intent beyond hanging out in the background but I can't confidently townread them. This is why I was concerned about their read on Black cuz they seemed to have a lot to say about Black and yet they are still like "hmm dunno guys" about her? Rubs me the wrong way.

how is it an excuse? i'm saying i don't know how to sort her because i can't apply meta to her properly. when i'm playing with familiar players, i often use their meta to give me a thing to be confident about, because if they match up, oh, cool, if they don't, oh, wacky! in this case, i didn't know how to sort her, because i've only watched a few of her games and played with her as scum once. on top of this, she mimics her townplay as scum, so at that point i didn't really have a sense of familiarity because it could go either way. however, at the moment, i'd say black is town, mostly because of the interactions between black and venmar. i read venmar as town for reasons i've talked about earlier, and i read black and venmar's argument as either t/t or w/w. it reasd as more t/t to me ebcause the way they got into that argument and resolved it felt towny and genuine to me. so a hesitant townread on them both.
