The entire past couples pages were filled with saying "Yeah let's kill Roden" and asking me to claim and give final reads

I'm VT I'm literally not gonna be spared just because I claimed no role, that's the best case scenario because now there isn't a guessing game in case I claim Doctor or something equivalent

I didn't say anything else because I assumed I was just gonna get hammered, and getting gaslit by HEM all day killed my investment in this game. That and I didn't think I had time to write anything substantial since 4th of July shit is throttling me at work.

I'll get into my thoughts on why these last few pages turned my read around on HEM when I get home. Because it's not just the fake cold feet BS, his interactions with Furtive are artificial and I think Furtive is also scummy.

this is still true regardless of town or scum flip. with this amount of unanimity, this is probably a bus.

greeting is there, not as scum in Roden's wagon, but as someone to watch out for. same with gerain (but gerain expressed willingness to be in any wagon except Daisy's)

This is just not a real thought process. HEM was complaining and rallying for my head for several days straight and nobody jumped on it. But in less than 15 minutes, he goes from "oh hey I finally got what I wanted, must be a bus" to "omg I'm totally being set up". The moment the wagon has actual momentum, suddenly he has cold feet. Why? Several people were contesting his read, and in Oopsie's case, she even voted him. He got challenged repeatedly and that just doesn't happen if outside forces were trying to lead him on into pursuing a mis-elim, especially since absolutely no one was goading his 1v1 with me on.

This makes even less sense because he literally fought for my elim and was obnoxious as fuck about it. He choked up a good portion of the game just making it about me and didn't seem to want to entertain much outside of voting me out. Like in what universe can it be considered that anyone set him up when 100% of the push onto me came from him?? Nobody told him to scum read me. Nobody told him to conf bias me.

is the real reason HEM feels "set up". He knows he's just fucked tomorrow once I flip town. There's no actual reason to let him live past Day 2 when he spent so much time centralizing the game around a mis-elim and making zero effort to meaningfully interact with his top scum read. His entire case around me had nothing to do with any of my play, it was solely around the word "scheming" and everyone just kinda, accepted that. And tbh that makes him look even worse, because scum!HEM can passionately argue that I can't know if he's scheming or not if he is just scum and perspective slipped.

It does not take much for HEM to come around to a town!Furtive read, or at least an implied town read since he doesn't want to actually commit to calling Furtive town. Look at their interactions between those two posts I quoted. HEM basically brings out the kiddie gloves, giving off zero aggression and only throwing him softball questions so he can explain his reads as concisely and with as much nuance as possible. It is a VASTLY different interaction than the one he had with me, even though he outright called Furtive soulless and implied that it was a scum tell. It comes across like he doesn't want Furtive to be shown in a negative light, and honestly Furtive does

a lot townier after they finish talking.

Which doesn't accomplish much of anything. So why isn't Furtive doing anything to stop a wagon he believes will be a mis-elim? Why did he and HEM talk about reads on several other players but leave their completely opposite reads on me out of the conversation?
