Are you saying the town should get to decide who Scot gives power to BEFORE the powers are given out? No I dont like that idea at all. Or are you saying that the town should decide EXACTLY HOW the powers should be used....I dont like that idea at all. I dont think i am understanding what you are exactly saying here, becuase both seems quite scummy....Scum do not need to know anything about where and who are getting roles.FaerieLord wrote:
While, I am already noticing that people are paying attention to what each other are saying, I still feel that a fakevote in deciding should be the way to go, rather than assigning the ability to just 6(+) people that could be misguided. Nono, it involves town, not you 5 people, deciding the plan. As it is, anyone of you 5 could hammer tracker if scum wanted a chance with the role.
So we first fake vote what roles we want, then we go as been previously suggested(1:07:08 AM) Xdaamno: alcohol

I prefer tracker to RB because it is more limiting for the scum, and there are a couple more ways that I can see for the scum to break the RB plan, depending upon who is scum.
The difference, I admit, is quite slim, but I definitely prefer the tracker plan.-

Well, you're right that roleblocker is more dangerous in scum hands.
The one thing that worries me about this plan is it seems we don't get much information; it seems very focused on keeping our key roles alive, with only 1 info role. So I'm worried that might backfire on us if we don't get as good options in the future; especally if "framer and undertaker" are options.
Still, it seems like this is the safe plan. Bus driver to keep the CD alive. We give the PGO and the Tracker roles to the pair that we think is the most likely to be town, and that both keeps them alive and should give us one tracker chance. Tracker dosn't have a big chance of catching a scum killing if we only have one of them, but it is the safest option.I want us to win just for Yos' inevitable rant alone. -CrashTextDummie-

I think Ren Hoek's 31 is totally overkilling Scotmany's "random" point. Scot's exactly right that there isn't really much to go on, so his description is fine. Hoek's painting it as a conspiracy to "avoid scrutiny" is just ridiculous.
And Seraphim agrees with this...*sigh*
Scot's 43 basically captures what I think about this issue.
And in 45 Seraphim calls Scot out for a "contradiction"...which isn't there.
I hate hate hate Hoek's 47. I only hope it's hyperbole.
Adel makes a good point in 87 about strategically assigning PGO and Tracker, and comes up with what seems to be a good strategy in 110. And the more I read of it as I go through, it seems to meet all the objections (and I can't think of any other problems with it)
As such,Vote: Tracker-

Yeah, I really didn't want this to happen, especially when there are still people in doubt whether roleblocker should be chosen over tracker.
Personally, reviewing a bit, I preferred tracker too, but the point is it's better to have an unanimous consensus rather than having a hammer with someone who isn't too sure about it(1:07:08 AM) Xdaamno: alcohol

:S Damn...I didn't realise that had been suggested (I was skimming in parts because a lot of the 9 pages didn't seem too meaningful).Goat wrote: Vollkan, do you agree with FL's suggestion of letting the town pseudo-vote the roles in?
Well, for what it's worth now, I agree with the idea of having a pseudo-vote.
Yup. As I said, I approve of the Adel plan.CKD wrote: ok so is everyone fine with PGO?-

My scumchat logs autoprune after they reach a specific size, lest they take over my hard drive. Korts' general gist was an explanation of the game's layout, role mechanics, department responsibilities - everything that's laid out in the setup outline, but in a more digestible format.Adel wrote:from the signup thread:

Yos: The only way the PGO poses a threat to the CEO is if he decides to use his one-shot ability to target the unknown PGOtoday. Since we've decided that the CEO shouldn't use his ability unless the CD dies or is otherwise compromised, there's no need for a new appointment to occur today barring the CD's death.
Presumably, the busdriver will be switching the CD/CEO with one of the mostly vanilla accounting team players. This 1) Accomplishes the goal of nixing any kill directed at our two most important power roles, either forcing the scum team to choose another kill or having their kill busdriven 2) Preserves the busdriver from hitting the PGO.
Yos, you should know better than identifying the PGO. Not only does that neuter his ability to protect the role role he's paired with (either tracker or roleblocker), it allows scum to maneuver their kill to avoid his counter-kill.So high, so low, so many things to know.

To be honest, I disagree that the Ad Exec should have to listen to the rest of the Town in deciding on the roles. Let them make the decision, and then hold them responsible.(11:04:10 PM) senspizzaline: That's actually my bold prediction for the year

Seeing as I was there, and had many of the same questions, korts was explaining things on the OP, clarifying anything that was unclear because this was his technical first draft of the OP. Once I'm not busy, I may be able to go find the logs.Adel wrote:Nuwen wrote:
