You like it in the small Northern Maine town of Kingsland. Its a quiet but eerie little town that nobody pays much mind to. The people who live there are fairly hard working, they respect each other's privacy, and they don't talk to outsiders. occassionally, somebody goes missing, but the town never appears to notice. However, rumors mention there are newcomers who live somewhere beneath the town, and only come out at night. There's sure to be a struggle between the powers-that-be and the powers-of change.
The game was reviewed by ika, with input from klingoncelt and radiantcowbells.

As the mayor calmly addressed the small crowd of prominent (the qualification for such being simply surviving this long) town members, each one drifted to their own thoughts . . .
'Did I remember to turn off the radio this morning? Must be driving the cat wild.'
'Was that really a thing I thought I saw stalking me last night? I don't want to die!'
'Did you see how he struggled when I bit into his arm? Oh man was that tasty.'
'I wonder what a mafioso looks like?'
These were the thoughts of the crowd as the mayor explained the process by which he hoped to restored peace. He never used names, or exactly explained what 'restoring the norm and being obedient' meant, but Im sure if you listened just a little harder you would have figured it out . . .

The mayor had a brilliant plan. The Police Force would enforce a curfew on the citizens. Troubled times called for troubling measures. ANyone caught out after curfew would be arrested.

well, due to a clerical error the curfew was put into effect by not announced to the public until 30 minutes before its implementation. The shocked townsfolk were effectively traped in the rec center that doubled as a meeting hall. What would they do? Now the police would get you before the monsters they all heard rumors of.
'Lets send one out!'
One brave soul cried from the safety of the back rows. The murmers that spread throughout the crowd agreed. One soul would be sent out to ask the police for leave.
Drawing lots, Phantomcolbalt drew the short lot.
'Hey guys, c'mon'. I have band practice tomorrow, I cant go getting arrested!'
He pleaded to the deaf ears. And why should they listen? They all had things to do tomorrow; some had to work, some had to drink, some had to watch the kids. Why was he special.
Shoving him out the door, the townsfolk locked behind him. Walking slowly in the dusky sunlight, he wished he had been able to grab his windbreaker before being sent out here. Where were the police, anyway? For having a curfew there sure weren't any out to talk with . . .

The following day, everyone returned to their business, with the exception that they were inside before dusk. 6pm curfew. You all never did find out what became of Phantomcobalt, and indeed it was publically delared that he went off and fled out of town.
When everyone was under control and in their homes for the night, an anonymous tip came in. 'We have word that wanderer-nl is one of
those
people. They've upset the balance and must be purged, the scum.'
Assembling their gear, a small, privately owned strike team broke into the home of Wanderer. In the basement, they found a coffin, with dirt from foreign soil in it. Without trial or a chance to fight back, wanderer was subdued and beheaded.

A waning moon rose above the town. Taking advantage of the failing light, the powers of the town shifted into motion. for the common citizen, this is what could be observed:
The wind blew up leaves into the humanoid shape of a man, menacing with a weapon of some kind. Blinking, the old man scanned the shadows he thought he saw the apparition in. nothing, now.
The silence of the night gave way to a somehow much worse ringing in the ears of the manger. She wants desperately to drown it out with music, with television, with mindless tasking, anything . . . but is afraid that something will take offense.
Walking briskly up the street, the short hooded figure occasionally stopped to scan his whole environment, looking for something he wished he wouldn't find. Behind him, a shape followed, keeping to the shadows and stopping with an almost predatory premonition.
Along the hill leading to the wealthiest families of Kingsland, an engine was heard idling. not 5 minutes ago, screams and gasping whimpers were heard.
'The Judge', as she had become known as, was found eviscerated in her car. A joke of poor taste might mention how she broke curfew.

With 10 or less alive I am offering Accelerated Nights. If all players capable of talking or acting at night in addition to a simple majority of all players ask for it I will end the night at my earliest convienience. I will offer this every Night Phase until the conclusion of the game; simply PM me and ask for it. I will not accept Night/Day actions pre-maturely, however I will accept your PM asking for AN early.
Due to the upcoming Christmas, Day 5 will be an extra day long. There will be no extended Night-Phase, however I will add a 24 hour extension to whichever day falls upon Christmas; and No Prods will be handed out during this period.

As the author rushed through his flavor in order to get back to his show and family, it struck him that the game is finally at a point where he can offer accelerated nights should half the living playerlist ask for it.

It was one of those bad days for Flubs. He didn't hold much chance as he watched his kinsmen get slaughtered, 1 at a time, by the flithly little cattle that hadn't been sufficiently cowed yet. Mods have games they play too! And sometimes they mispost and don't want to delete the spot because ethics.
