On a scale of 1-10, how bastardly do you want the game to be (10 = evil)? 7

On a scale of 1-10, how complex/unbalanced are you comfortable with roles being (10=lol)? 10

Rank these themes, in order from best to worst:
Historical Disfigurements
Things that don’t make sense
Authority Figures
Literary Characters
Existentialism
Pokemon, Digimon, & Harry Potter

Any other themes you might want to see come into play? LOLcats for Adel's sake

Any specific roles/types of roles you want to see in play? mafia aligned SK, NK immune miller vig

Any game mechanics? All of them

Want lots of flavor? Doesn't matter

None? If you don't feel like it

I really like to understand the underlying mechanics of the game. For some reason Xtoxm has an extra vote on him. And I'd like to see why it's there. I do think my idea of the 3 and 5 pegs is somehow related to the extra vote. So I am following up on the idea with another experiment by voting Paradox. The switch over to Xtoxm's was to see if anyone would be stupid enough to jump on the wagon seeing the support and the odd behavior at the time.

Adel, I totally got the antivote.

OK so it looks like first to three votes gets an extra one. Not sure if that works for multiple players or not. I'm going to leave my vote until the next votecount to see if Lawrecnelot had a double vote. And then I will move my vote to someone without a vote to see if I might have a double vote. I also had no indication I would have a double vote in my role PM.
Paradox wrote:I don't think we should massclaim day 1, but why are you so sure there's nothing to anchor the roles on? Unless you know more than one.
Yeah this is a really tangible theme to anchor roles onto:
Guardian wrote:Things that don’t make sense will be our main theme... If something makes sense, be wary.

Historical Disfigurements figures to be a prominent secondary element...

And Existentialism will no doubt play a part -- when has Existentialism ever made sense anyway?

Authority Figures, Pokemon, Digimon, & Harry Potter, and Literary Characters didn't make the cut explicitly, though I would not be surprised if some or all of them wove their way into the game.

And you can bet that some themes not disclosed by me or suggested by you will have a great bearing on this game's outcome...

Guardian, I thought everyone was getting roles before you modkilled them. Does the lack of DGB's role reveal mean we won't be privy to such information in the future?

In regards to the role name claim. I agree with cicero for now, in that it seems like an idea to keep people busy and feel like we're moving the game forward. At this point I think it will be detrimental.

Also cicero, I'm surprised you have such a harsh interpretation of Adel's incentives to the claim, but don't find it the least bit suspicious that she is a major proponent of it.

I have nothing in my role PM that leads me to believe I would have a double vote. This leads me to believe that either the Mod randomly chose me, or (more likely) that someone has an ability that gives other people a double vote a la Dr. Who Mafia. Kinda weird that the lynch requirement would adjust accordingly.

so then what are those pegs for?

Current working hypothesis: Adel is scum who, unfortunately for her, was paired with Xtoxm. His constant "she's scum" with no backing is an incredibly bad attempt at distancing. Adel is being unusually quite towards Xtoxm hoping it will go away. Also tried to pin xyzzy as a possible scum partner for him here:
Adel wrote:

I've got to agree with this sentiment. But claiming Doc as a SK is pretty unusual, if he's scum I'd expect mafia. Is Guardian ever going to updates us? He also had a pretty specific town claim "Things that don't make sense town" not simply town. If he is scum then they have safe claims for sure.

I have a feeling Guardian won't be telling us Xtoxm's alignment given how much time has passed since the kill. So we will probably have to proceed with the lynch without his info.
Alternatively Adel's daykill was a fake to test Xtoxm's and Guardian hasn't posted a death scene because he's not dead. This would be bolstered by the fact that Adel bothered analyzing his alignment instead of just waiting for Guardian to show up. Adel would it destroy your plans to confirm or deny?

Really feels like you just pulled his name out of nowhere as you've hardly mentioned him before those two posts. Regarding your Daykill, I still have a feeling you and Adel are distancing. You seem to push on her the hardest lately due to the fake vig'ing but you haven't voted her since the mass claim incident.

It seems possible to me that you are scum trying to find an excuse to not be on a townie's lynch wagon.
I have reason to believe xyzzy is telling the truth so I will not lynch him. Para is feeling scummy to me wo I would consider his lynch. But Rogueben just jumped out like a sore thumb with that vote, especially the reasoning (well shucks I wouldn't want to not lynch anybody today). He had been on the para wagon. At the time of his vote switch para was four xyzzy was four. Does not compute.

Your idea intrigues me. I would consider VC's acceptable at this point considering that we're walking a tightrope between lynch and no-lynch and mod VC's have been infrequent at best. In other words, the "universal" seems a bit strong
It is very hard to explain why this is a scumtell and I've really tried to understand why it would be. There's nothing scummy about posting VC's from what I can decipher. But I've seen about 7 or 8 players do it. And only once were they town. Most recently was Adele in Heroes smalltown. It's a wierd thing and may just be a fluke of my limited mafia experience, but I just wanted to note that.

What claim would stop us from lynching him? Doctor? Cop? Lovestruck teen capitalist with delusions of happiness? Whatever... is there a jhammer in the room?

Fos

He's actually at L-2. You apparently didn't know that and still want him hammered without recourse. And I have information for which I know particular role(s) are more likely town.

The more I think about it the less I like Adel's play. I'm settling between a RB or Adel lynch for today. I think RB is more valid, but he has less interections so less information if we're wrong. Has anyone seen Link between RB and other's I may have missed?

Too late, Lawrence just hammered. (Perhaps a VC would have helped things out)

RB was at 5 in VC 11. Paradox voted him, that's 6. Lawrence votes - lynch.

Oh, and Xtoxm is bitching because his vote was on xyzzy
and
RB. Probably just mod error.

Bah final moments stop the insanity!

1) Sorry for the slip up on RogueBen, that was my fault.
2) Adel should have pointed out my error
3) Vollkan and cicero feel funny to me. Don't know what it is
4) I have an incling that Xtoxm is town.
5) Watch out for NabNab
6) I think I may be NK'd for the double vote

Boy that sounds like it could be a scum role also. Mafia doctor who has to protect a townie? It's possible. I'm not saying it's the likeliest possibility, but in this game I could believe it.

Also,
why would you come out with your result immediately
