Also, the deck I'm working on for now is:
BG Zombies
60 cards
3 Cavern of Souls
4 Overgrown Tomb
10 Swamp
4 Woodland Cemetery
21 lands
4 Diregraf Ghoul
4 Gravecrawler
4 Slitherhead
4 Lothleth Troll
4 Geralf's Messenger
4 Dreg Mangler
24 creatures
4 Rancor
3 Tragic Slip
3 Sign in Blood
3 Abrupt Decay
2 Murder
15 other spells
Rancor on Gravecrawler/Slitherhead seems spicy, and The zombie creature base is already so cost-efficient, not to mention shock lands help out aggro decks massively.
Just curious, anybody else here plays legacy?
I play only paper magic, tho. No mtgo-

Nope. It's aguildEDH project, not a project to build EDH decks in the guild colors.
Go with Grand Arbiter Augstin IV then. Better than both Isperias, but will get you killed faster than either Isperia would-

Augustin is too boring, I had already ruled him out. There's not any cool interactions with him.
Then New Isperia it is. too bad theres no red in her color identity. Fumiko the Lowblood would be nice in that deck. Guess Alluring Siren will do.-

6 legacy decks(not blue/white)
1 standard deck(not blue/white)
1 modern deck (not blue/white)
So there.-

what he said.In post 2532, Thestatusquo wrote:Here is a list of cards that gave double strike for sorcery speed. Not one of them was playable or played in anything.
Assault Strobe
R
Target creature gains double strike until end of turn.
Cleaver Riot
4R
All creatures you control gain double strike until end of turn.
Runes of the Deus
4 R/G
Enchantment
As long as enchanted creature is red, it gets +1/+1 and has double strike.
As long as enchanted creature is green, it gets +1/+1 and has trample.
(Granted, this one was playable in limited in a very slow format.)
Bonus: Both double cleave (1R/W) and Psychotic Fury (1R) were instants and not constructed playable, though they were both very good in limited because of that instant speed.
The question isn't "Is the effect I'm getting here good" because clearly double strike is a good ability. It's instead "is what I'm getting worth a card slot? By and large, such an effect does not have a large enough impact on the game to justify playing it over something that has a lasting impact (rancor). Pump spells in general are only played in the most aggressive of decks (like mono Green Stompy, or modern Infect) and they are both weak to removal and generally the worst cards in the deck to begin with, making them sorcery speed gets rid of the tiny amount of utility that they have.
But, you're your own player. Feel free to put the card in your decks. I don't think you'll be pleased with the outcome, but, if you are then all the more power to you.-

4 cursecatcher
4 coralhelm commander
4 master of the pearl trident
4 merrow reejerey
4 silvergill adept
4 lord of atlantis
4 Phantasmal Image
4 Spellstutter Sprite (OMGWTF, i know, but this is a replacement for daze, and FUCKING good off a vial. Also, Mutavault, Phantasmal Image plays WELL with this.)
4 AEther Vial
4 Force of Will
4 Mutavault
4 wasteland
12 Island
SB:
2 Relic of Progentius
2 Tormod's Crypt
3 Phyrexian Revoker (Griselwhat?)
1 Seasinger (Lol @ Show+Tell)
3 Submerge
2 Spell Snare
2 Flusterstorm
A bit unorthodox, but very efficient, and catches people out of left field with sprites. More good than you think.
RE: your list- I like dismembers A LOT. I'd switch kira for jitter (kira goes in sideboard).-

the reason for it hitting 150 was that there were rampant speculation of it being unbanned in modern. which is impossible.
also, I don't really enjoy legacy control decks, and I don't think I'll ever get the goyfs to play any green based control deck, so I just got rid of the jaces for something I'd actually use.-

The most broken card in there is ygritte. shes a Channel on legs.
Maestro- Melisandre and joffrey isnt op. just merely good. Varys is very strong.
(And i agree with TSQ)
EDIT: Actually Ygritte is better than channel. Say Comet storm in hand, or some other instant speed fireball card. Tap her for mana, resolves. Untap her, targeting herself, BUT do not let that resolve. In response to that, tap for mana, and so on for infinite green mana. Blast off the fireball, and win. The damage to you never gets a chance to happen.
(tl;dr: This is why theres a team of people designing cards for years. not random people off the internet)-

Infinite mana fixing lets decks do bullshit like going Strangelroot Geist->Geralf's Messenger on curve. While there are a ton of archtypes, they all play rather similarly. Like(I know I'm simplifying a little here, but bear with me). There are really four types of decks--Sphinx's Revelation decks, Thragtusk decks, Blood Artist decks, and Burning-Tree Emissary decks. Revelation decks want to draw millions of cards, counter their opponent's threats and with with Aetherling(Esper/UWR/Bant/UW/Grixis control, Omnidoor), Thragtusk decks win by just playing a bunch of great cards and win by having better cards(all the Green based midrange decks-Jund, Junk, Naya, Prime Speaker Bant, GB Mutilate, even if they don't run Thragtusk like some of the newer Naya shells, the Advent of the Wurm-based flash deck, as well as Rites). Blood Artist decks are the only ones that have any synergy, really, with tons of sacrifice triggers and overwhelming the opponent with 1/1s and 2/2s(RWB Aristocrats, GWB Aristocrats, Zombies), and Burning-Tree Emissary decks are all about flooding the board early and going under the other deck's heads, winning on like turn four/five(All the aggro decks, from RG to Naya Blitz to Jund Aggro, some of these don't run BTE, but it's similar in principle). All the decks win the same fucking way. There are a couple of decks that are outliers, I admit--the UGx tempo and WG token shells beings the most prominent, but they are decidedly, like tier 3 at best.In post 2966, Fate wrote:What's so bad about standard exactly?
Ravnica-Time Spiral is my answer for both, and it was because there were about a thousand archtypes AND they all did different things. There were legit combo decks in Dredge and Dragonstorm, hardcore control shells in Teachings Control & WU(won with Teferi lockdown and Skeletal Vampire), control with a combo finish(Pickles), the OG soul sisters with Martyr-Proc, along with early Death and Taxes variants(Mangara of Corondor+Momentary Blink!), about six variation of red aggro ranging from RDW to Sligh to RG to Land-destruction based, suicide black was a deck with Bob. The thing is, that format had just as much mana fixing(shocks, painlands, storagelands, future sight duals, and farseek were all in the format), but due to Blood Moon/Magus of the Moon and the painland's natural clock made running these 3/4/5 color abominations much more difficult and costly. I mean, they still existed, but it was much more balanced. All these decks also were just very different, had hugely variant gameplans, and won in hugely different ways.Pie just listed over a dozen archetypes that are viable, when's the last time that happened? What's the last standard format you enjoyed and why?
AMEN-
