This is the same line of thought that ran through my head and it was a pleasant surprise to see someone else. This tell takes such a specific scenario for it to take place that it rarely happens and because it rarely happens, it remains something that remains a solid scum tell.

Downplaying ones experience is specifically scum because on a subconscious level, that kind of post does make a person reactively want to go easier on you. It's something I've only ever gotten to use to tag scum a handful of times and it was a tell I identified way back in 2012.

Because such a post reactively makes people want to take it easier on you, it's something someone who is new the a forum but not new to the game and draws scum will use but something that someone in the same scenario yet draws town will use because scum want to hide under the radar.

What is far more likely to happen is that a player being new to a forum but not new to the game and drawing town to play in such a way that overexaggates their actual ability cuz pride.

It is one of the strongest yet one of the weakest tells because it's "stupid" and "circumstantial" and all kinds of speculation because the tell is deep seeded in sub conscious psychology so it's difficult to even prove

Like a puppy but in this game it doesn't seem over the top, and it feels like there's a level of focus and seriousness there. Well, yes. It's something everyone does, and if someone doesn't do it then they aren't growing as a player, or playing optimally but playstyles are the way they are as a reason and it's a little harder to change a subconscious reaction.

if people are going to go around and call math shitty as hell, and say how terrible he is as a town leader pushing the wrong lynches there is one thing that needs to be realized. Math was doing all those pushes for me, especially the horsewagon push. Not only are we masons this game, but since he's subbed in, we have been essentially of one mind . All suspicions voiced and every push made are pushes that are being endorsed by both of us 99% of the time.
