Trying to get a mislynch wagon as early as possible. Scum IMO but I know some people think that getting out of RVS early is a town thing to do so to each his own really.

But my own opinion would be that he's scum who wants to get day 1 over with as quick as possible~

Also avatars really help.

as well as post 59, when he defends peace... when others were kind of getting their backs up at peace.

Honestly gamr not to sound buddyish bit that's the best point I've heard this game, a lot of junk has been flying around at each other. Why are we not voting him?

And I don't see what you're saying on the last paragraph, be clearer. I still support a lynch in peace if it comes too it, she's on my top 3 scum reads

We don't know many people in this game. Its made following and keeping up and invested harder on us. As a means of staying in touch with the game though we do try and keep posting, which may result in being a little repetitive at times. This also ties into where I was going with these:
In post 273, Broken Aquarium wrote:

i was sheeping JKLM
In post 274, Broken Aquarium wrote:to be clear, the vote on peacebringer was not due to thinking they were scum. it was for added pressure though.

Sheeping town reads when your scum reads are fading and you aren't invested isn't the worst thing you can do, also, the joke of voting peacebringer without any explanation was a little too good to pass up. I should note here that Garmr was our leading scum read once we got a little colder on the idea of Mnemonic scum. But no one else was voting for him and we didn't have the drive to make a wagon happen. This is another reason why switching with you was easy.

In post 284, JKLM wrote:Nothing better to solidify your scum status than OMGUS and then switching the vote again when you get called out on it.

Complacency complacency complacency
OMGUSing isn't a scum tell. Its an emotional response that all alignments do. Coming down off those emotions and also being gifted with that wonderful Garmr vote post to reaffirm our read on his slot made switching easy. (yes it was another vote for us, no that doesn't make it OMGUS)

i still don't see him as scum. his post here kinda reconfirmed that:
http://forum.mafiascum.net/viewtopic.ph ... 9#p5357029

and it's in retrospect now, since i missed this question... but what honig said: you get suspicious of those town reading you ESPECIALLY when you are scum reading them.

i looked at your ISO, broalien, i don't think you have commented on honig since then.
what are your thoughts now?

In post 296, Garmr wrote:@Broken Aquarium
Sheeping town reads with out explaining why you agree is pretty bad also you offered nothing new to the argument. You may argue the point about omgusing is a null sign which it can be. But when you act really emotional with out listing points then quickly remove it and say your a town read again in just a couple of post. That is when it turns scummy as hell when it becomes scummy. Also the fact JKLM says the mnemonic wagon looks scummy then you magically sheep him onto his next vote. Using Wifom scenario's aren't the best for defenses as well.
In post 292, Broken Aquarium wrote:I should note here that Garmr was our leading scum read once we got a little colder on the idea of Mnemonic scum. But no one else was voting for him and we didn't have the drive to make a wagon happen. This is another reason why switching with you was easy.
Also if I was your leading scum read why did you wait for someone else to vote me. Were you that afraid that it might backfire on you if you were town you wouldn't really have anything to lose by scumhunting. This seems more like a scum motivated reason than a town one. You made no indication prior either that you viewed me as scum.

I like how you showed post 211 of Honig saying that's why you think his town. Just like when you asked me why I think Honig is town and I sent a link to that post. Oh wait that's a coincidence isn't it. Also doesn't it worry you at all that you just sheeped a reason off your top scum read.

Also you think I'm scum. where are your points you have failed to make a case against me. You haven't even mentioned a reason why you think I'm scum I guess you'll sheep those reason off JKLM.

Also you pretty much been fluffing all game. It took you till 292 to make a attempt scum hunting because you are under the microscope. Even then you offer no original reasons. Your defenses are paper thin as well you can poke a hole in all of them.

Also with now you want to answer alienbro's question. This looks like some cheap attempt to get the heat off you, It's kinda pathetic you know. There's no where to run now Broken Aquarium I'm not letting you wriggle out of this.
Like, read this and tell me he isn't either delusional or twisting everything to be negative. I didn't start scumhutning until 292? I was scumhutning mnemonic as early as . The rest isn't worth responding to or has already been explained.

what's the point in saying that?
Why didn't you just post your reason WITH your vote? I don't know whether this is spur-of-the-moment inventing a reason, or not.
why do i have to post a reason right then and there with my vote?

I also like how Skelda just randomly jumps on the peacebringer wagon. RVS much?
i really think he is scum.

I like this little case. Townpoints for that.
thanks

You don't get the votes on Honig... after about two decent vote explanations from other people (along with their votes, of course). This does sound a little bit like scum trying to subtly defend their scumpartner. You probably did get them and were subtly expressing your 'annoyance/outrage'.
In post 260, Broken Aquarium wrote:UNVOTE: mneumonic

In post 263, Broken Aquarium wrote:UNVOTE: peacebringer

I don't know whether there was anything specific to change the vote so quickly (ISO view here) but quick vote changes are usually slightly odd looking to me.
i said before the vote on peacebringer was kind of a test to see how he'd react. and like JKLM said, i already mentioned, like 100 times, that he was my top town read. so, is it so weird to sheep him? i think others could agree before as well, that he was looking pretty town. tell me how many times you have seen people sheep in games, and they are town.
his case on garmr wasn't spectacular either... here: http://forum.mafiascum.net/viewtopic.ph ... 4#p5363374
but i did think he could have a point. considering that i'm still not totally sure of mneumonic, yet garmr comes along and calls him town for that post... (this one: http://forum.mafiascum.net/viewtopic.ph ... 2#p5363182 or rather, says that he 'likes it'

then JKLM comes along shortly after his vote on garmr (post 262) and makes post 272: http://forum.mafiascum.net/viewtopic.ph ... 5#p5363615

which looks kinda weird, because he JUST finished voting for garmr, 10 posts ago. now, he's following his logic? hence my declining town read on him, and my vote on him. i did say, that it could be an overreaction on my part, along with the vote. but - i think it was justified, because it just looked weird... is all there is to it.

garmr then comes in, votes us as well, "for sheeping"
which i honestly think looks realllllly bad, on his part. looking for a reason to place a vote, or something (?) hence, the vote switch from JKLM to him.

'Delusional and twisting everything'; '!?'. This totally sounds like scum defending themselves.

it's not. chamber wrote that one, but i can't say i don't agree.

i disagree. there is something to be said for votes without reasoning, sometimes.
i remember nacho saying that to me before. and a few of the last few games, i've kinda been on a kick, where i realize that scum are the ones who want to over explain their votes. like, they have to overly justify it... to make sure it's rock solid.
did you see my post to HERMY? i explained why i voted him (JKLM). he votes you in 262, and then in 272 does a total 180. it was odd.
if you are town playing right now, you are focusing way too hard on this sheeping thing.

yup. That is more in line with what I am used to. Although I am not even talking about huge ass cases, just the obsession with having a "reason" for everything and expressing the reason. Once I out something I am looking at and use as a reason it's usefulness is shot... I am more game to game, reaction to reaction and does it seem consistent. Sometimes I get it right, other times wrong.
i can see that, cause when you use a reason.... it allows for others to break it down. when sometimes it's just gut. and picking it apart, is still something scum can do.

@BA
Your focusing on the sheeping I have brought other points as well like how you got over emotional on the JKLM vote, the fact you didn't debunk any of my claims or the fact. Look at all my games I always explain myself extensively because I believe the more information you give out the easier you are to read. This is my play style through and you can feel free to look at my past games if you want. In my eyes my player style makes it harder for scum to hide and it seems to work for me. Also mnemonics still a bit iffy just you seem more scummy to me.
listen garmr.... i think the both of us are seeing you as pretty scummy right now.
(i am having a FEW doubts, at this moment)... haven't mentioned that to chamber yet.
but.... the thing is... why are we going to explain ourselves to someone questioning us, that we think is scum??
ya ya... you said before, that it will allow others to see our point of view.
but really.... from my perspective... i can't argue against your point that sheeping is scummy.
all i can say, is that it IS NOT.
i don't even know what your other points are.. that need to be responded to?
uh... you made mention that i used the same point in honig being town, as you did? what else....
oh ya... that you thought it was weird, that on reread i caught alienbro's question and responded to it?

actually..chamber was saying earlier to me... that 'scum try to be logically consistent... whereas town, are emotionally consistent'

yes, that does fit. There are certainly personality types where reason is important. Those more on the Judging end of things from a myers briggs side of things may actually get into all that and I understand that. I am a hard Intuitive. SO often times I do not even know what the reason is. I get that "scum" try and be logically consistent. See where I come from Scum try and look good, town does not give a rip how they look by and large. And folks that are either wildly inconsistent or have minor variances in play are hardest to read by and large and sometimes getting at the emotion or getting the reaction gets the cracks and such. And looking for emotional consistency can be tough, as with anything else. Things like this are why sometimes I can narrow in and be dead accurate and other times stone cold because you also have to add in individual differences.
re: players that are wildly inconsistent....i think my first thought, or reaction... is to think 'town'. but that's in general. for most cases, i see.... like i said to you... as scum always trying to be consistent. ie ---- not even backing out of their reads, when it's apparent, that they have no bearing. they still cling on to them, for "consistency"
i totally agree that town, do not give 'a rat's ass' about how they look.
(which in relation to this game, i kept on stating that i was sheeping JKLM) i do not see anything wrong with this. also, i will not try to make excuses for it.
i do know what you mean, in regard to adjusting to personality types. those who want explanations, more so than others. for me... i find it easier to read players who are not like that. but go on emotional cue, instead. as for myer briggs, i end up being in the intuitive section..

(speaking of emotional cues, that's part of the reason i have honig as town)

I switched wagons because, at this point, BA is certainly more scummy to me. His previous action of unvoting, and not putting his vote back when things were explained looks like mafia feebly trying to defend a scumpartner. Therefore I changed wagons. I'd still be happy with an MD lynch, but BA is definitely scummier to me.

(If it would help or be convenient in any way, then I will change my vote back. Just tell me to do so.)
'When things were explained' Why would I put my vote back? Things actually were as I thought them to be, they just weren't as killerjester was trying to make them appear to be. The ruse he was trying to setup was clearly not going to happen at that point.

I can put it back now though.

Then let's get a functioning wagon on BA te hardcore scum

I'm glad you decided vote MD once you got called out as for why you did it. Good job in further making
Yourself scum.
I unvoted because I wasn't comfortable with him being at l-1, my vote no longer puts him at l-1. You can spin whatever other narrative around it that you want, but its a work of fiction.

I mean is this something you actually ever expect to see scum do? The thought process 'Oh no, I got caught doing X, therefore I'll undo X and no one will suspect me anymore!' isn't one any living breathing human would ever have.

How dare I want to keep him at L-2 to ensure that he actually has the chance to answer these very questions (that I basically already asked him).

Using PM formatting to catch scum makes me feel very uncomfortable, especially when no sample PM was apparently given, at least publicly (I hadn't bothered to look before this moment).

And to whoever said "policy lynch Peace terribel idea" my answer is: no it is not. More I play this game, more I'm realising how important a good scum hunting environment is. Those players who may well be - IRL- a good laugh, are often just a massive distrsaction and source of confusion for town. So many games go by where you end up with Mutley, Irish Pope and th elike at end game, and you have literlally NOTHING to go off becaus ethey have been pissing around all game.
Likewise, scum adapt to environment "hey, people dont mind Peace being unhelpful, I'll hide behind that playstyle".
So yeah, I'm still up for lynching Peace.
Although if we can get a Skelda or Hermy wagon going, then happy to lynch them too.
ya but, what happens when you have a town read on peace, through his methods?

To an extent, what you say is true. There is always AT LEAST one scummer who tries to lurk through, so I'm trying to be vigilant on the lurker front.
But I am NOT just randomly picking on people who havent posted much - Peace, until recently hasnt posted much, and yet was still a strong town read of mine - policy lynch aside.
Its not just quantity of posting, it's content. In fact, Hermy has posted a reasonable amount, but its all been vague as hell. Both Skelda and Hermy have hardly said ANYTHING of subtance.
this is a weird response.
i would be more reactive, if i were responding to this.
don't want to get paranoid.. but this seems like scum chat.
hermy accuses moz of going for an easy lynch? and moz responds that, what you say is true? (to an extent)
moz - why didn't you get your back up?

I switched wagons because, at this point, BA is certainly more scummy to me. His previous action of unvoting, and not putting his vote back when things were explained looks like mafia feebly trying to defend a scumpartner. Therefore I changed wagons. I'd still be happy with an MD lynch, but BA is definitely scummier to me.

(If it would help or be convenient in any way, then I will change my vote back. Just tell me to do so.)
oh man.
this is so bad.

Beacuse some of what she said was true. I'm sorry, by your logic, should town always rant and rave when under attack?
It's called trying to have a rational debate with someone.
don't be silly. it's not that i think you have to rant or rave.
just saying that here: you state hermy as a willing to lynch candidate:
http://forum.mafiascum.net/viewtopic.ph ... 6#p5368106

and then before that,
http://forum.mafiascum.net/viewtopic.ph ... 3#p5357383

so... it looks like you have a fair amount of suspicion on Hermy
yet here:
http://forum.mafiascum.net/viewtopic.ph ... 9#p5368849

when she states that you are going for easy lynches, you just kinda give in?
when in the meantime, you are supposed to be suspicious of her?

so ya, it looks weird.
