I don't know if I agree that taric brings more in lane than braum - I just think they bring different things. Braum's CC isn't as reliable, but his greater mobility and his passive allowing him to proc CC with no spells up is really useful.

Taric's ult is a ridiculous teamfighting ability that I think people underestimate (as iec said, invisible power). It's not aoe CC, no, so that has to come from somewhere else on the team, but the sheer amount of extra damage it gives is kind of ridiculous. It makes taric himself a legit damage threat (+70 AP and AD at level 3 is ridonkulous), and increases the strength of his teammates more than the first dragon does in most lategame scenarios.

how much of a nerf does cassio eat here? she already has extremely low CDs and low mana cast on her primary damage ability, and poison ticks still occur at the same rate (I think?) so her passive scaling doesn't seem like it'd be too hurt

Also, ahri seems decent - her ult is likely quite strong

Irelia I could see being Chinese based on artwork, I guess?

Master Yi - same as Lee
Soraka - not human
Varus - Difficult to tell due to void corruption, etc

So there are maybe 4 champions you could say are chinese.

Plus, global aoe soft-cc ult allows you to pick up free gold from assists + the extra gold you get from lasthitting w/ parrrley allows you to build into the heavy items faster than an ADC.

I just think that item purchases and your damage level should have a predictable power curve, personally - I appreciate the value of randomness in games and competitive events (lucky bounce on a punt in football, or deflection off a defender into the net in soccer, or fan reaching out to catch the flyout in baseball) but I don't think that

intentionally building it into the game

is good by any means

the better player(s) should win the game, period

I'd say yes except in the case of soccer and football the examples I gave would require fundamental changes to the game so it's a moot point

EDIT: fundamental to mean "in order to remove those aspects the new game would almost certainly not even resemble the current game"

I think that means that morde won't see much successful play in low ELI solo queue, but in 5s and high ELO play he'll probably do just fine - put varus mid or quinn/vayne top or something and you've still got your long-range AD threat (or play an AP auto attacker instead, like Kayle or Teemo)

if you suck at ADC the ADC you should pick is Caitlyn, IMO - she's literally designed to be the beginner ADC. her advantage is quite literally range.

I think you and hito are kind of agreeing there - he's not saying that a no-ADC comp is going to be better all or most of the time - only some of the time, such as when you need siege effectiveness but don't need more AD.

For example, my bronze self could see a conceivable Yasuo-Zed solo lane comp playing with a Ziggs in the duo lane?
